The distributed networked control systems are considered in this paper. Several sub-systems which are connected with each other through a communication network make up the whole system. Each sub-system has its own quantizer so that any information which needs be transmitted to other sub-systems will be quantized due to limited bandwidth. Meanwhile, the actuator faults, including outage, loss of effectiveness and stuck are also considered in our research. A mode-based state feedback controller is given in this paper to stable such NCSs and to meet the robust H-inf performance. A simulation example is proposed to illustrate the effectiveness of our method finally.

Contractively invariant ellipsoids have been extensively used as estimates of the domain of attraction of a linear system under a saturated linear feedback. For a discrete-time linear system with a single input subject to actuator saturation, based on a convex hull representation of the saturated linear feedback, a necessary and sufficient condition for an ellipsoid to be contractively invariant was previously established. Based on this condition, the determination of the maximal contractively invariant ellipsoid can be formulated and solved as an LMI problem. In this paper, we develop a criterion to determine if a contractively invariant ellipsoid is the maximal one for discrete-time saturated linear systems with multiple inputs. This criterion is based on the solution of an LMI problem, which involves a generalized convex hull representation of saturated linear feedbacks, and includes the existing result for discrete-time saturated linear systems with a single input as a special case. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our results.

This paper studies semi-global leader-following output consensus of a multi-agent system. Each follower agent in the system, described by a general linear system subject to external disturbances and actuator saturation, is to track the leader agent. Conditions on the agent dynamics are identified under which a low gain feedback based linear state control algorithm is constructed for each follower agent such that the leader-following output consensus is achieved when the communication topology among the agents is a directed graph that contains no loop and the leader is globally reachable. In addition, discussions and simulations are also provided for the output consensus in the presence of actuator saturation.

An error back propagation (BP) neural network prediction model was established for the shunt current compensation in series resistance spot welding. The input variables for the neural network consist of the resistivity of the material, the thickness of workpiece and the spot spacing, and the shunt rate is outputted. A simplified calculation for the shunt rate was presented based on the feature of the constant-current resistance spot welding and the variation of the resistance in resistance spot welding process, and then the data generated by simplified calculation were used to train and adjust the neural network model. The neural network model proposed was used to predict the shunt rate in the spot welding of 20# mlid steel (in Chinese classification) (in 2. 0 mm thickness) and 10# mild steel (in 1.5 mm and 1.0 mm thickness). The maximum relative prediction errors are, respectively, 2. 83%, 1.77% and 3.67%. Shunt current compensation experiments were peoCormed based on the neural network prediction model proposed to check the diameter difference of nuggets. Experimental results show that maximum nugget diameter deviation is less than 4% for both 10# and 20# mlid steels with spot spacing of 30 mm and 50 mm.

In this paper, we estimate the influence of random dopants (RDs), interface traps (ITs), and random work functions (WKs) using the experimentally calibrated 3D device simulation on DC characteristic of high-κ / metal gate n- and p-type bulk fin-typed field-effect-transistors. We further study these intrinsic parameter fluctuations' impact on drain induced barrier lowering (DIBL). The main findings of this work show the RDF and WKF on n-type device are larger than that of p-type one. The DIBL is dominated by the number of random dopants.

The paper investigates the performance of a hybrid satellite-terrestrial cooperative network (HSTCN), where some terrestrial amplify-and-forward (AF) relays are employed to assist the signal transmission from a satellite to a destination, which is corrupted by multiple co-channel interferences (CCIs). In this system, the satellite links undergo Shadowing-Rician fading while the terrestrial links experience Rayleigh fading. Specifically, by assuming that maximum ratio combining (MRC) is used at the destination, we first derive the moment generating function (MGF) of the output signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR). With the help of MGF, we then present the analytical average symbol error rate (ASER) expression for the considered cooperative system. Moreover, to gain further insights, the asymptotic ASER analysis in terms of the diversity order and array gain is also developed. Finally, numerical results are given to demonstrate the validity of the performance analysis and the impacts of shadowing parameters, relay number and CCIs on the considered HSTCN.
