Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) is an automated method for generating, manipulating, and modifying valuable and diverse data using AI algorithms creatively. This survey paper focuses on the deployment of AIGC applications, e.g., ChatGPT and Dall-E, at mobile edge networks, namely mobile AIGC networks, that provide personalized and customized AIGC services in real time while maintaining user privacy. We begin by introducing the background and fundamentals of generative models and the lifecycle of AIGC services at mobile AIGC networks, which includes data collection, training, fine-tuning, inference, and product management. We then discuss the collaborative cloud-edge-mobile infrastructure and technologies required to support AIGC services and enable users to access AIGC at mobile edge networks. Furthermore, we explore AIGC-driven creative applications and use cases for mobile AIGC networks. Additionally, we discuss the implementation, security, and privacy challenges of deploying mobile AIGC networks. Finally, we highlight some future research directions and open issues for the full realization of mobile AIGC networks. © 2023, CC BY.

A Learning Convolutional Neural Network Approach for Network Robustness Prediction

Network robustness is critical for various societal and industrial networks again malicious attacks. In particular, connectivity robustness and controllability robustness reflect how well a networked system can maintain its connectedness and controllability against destructive attacks, which can be quantified by a sequence of values that record the remaining connectivity and controllability of the network after a sequence of node- or edge-removal attacks. Traditionally, robustness is determined by attack simulations, which are computationally very time-consuming or even practically infeasible. In this paper, an improved method for network robustness prediction is developed based on learning feature representation using convolutional neural network (LFR-CNN). In this scheme, higher-dimensional network data are compressed to lower-dimensional representations, and then passed to a CNN to perform robustness prediction. Extensive experimental studies on both synthetic and real-world networks, both directed and undirected, demonstrate that 1) the proposed LFR-CNN performs better than other two state-of-the-art prediction methods, with significantly lower prediction errors;2) LFR-CNN is insensitive to the variation of the network size, which significantly extends its applicability;3) although LFR-CNN needs more time to perform feature learning, it can achieve accurate prediction faster than attack simulations;4) LFR-CNN not only can accurately predict network robustness, but also provides a good indicator for connectivity robustness, better than the classical spectral measures. © 2022, CC BY.

This paper proposes a Risk-Averse Just-In-Time (RAJIT) operation scheme for Ammonia-Hydrogen-based Micro-Grids (AHMGs) to boost electricity-hydrogen-ammonia coupling under uncertainties. First, an off-grid AHMG model is developed, featuring a novel multi-mode ammonia synthesis process and a hydrogen-ammonia dual gas turbine with tunable feed-in ratios. Subsequently, a state-behavior mapping strategy linking hydrogen storage levels with the operation modes of ammonia synthesis is established to prevent cost-ineffective shutdowns. The proposed model substantially improves operational flexibility but results in a challenging nonlinear fractional program. Based upon this model, a data-driven RAJIT scheme is developed for the real-time rolling optimization of AHMGs. Unlike conventional one-size-fits-all schemes using one optimization method throughout, the data-driven RAJIT intelligently switches between cost-effective deterministic optimization and risk-averse online-learning distributionally robust optimization depending on actual risk profiles, thus capitalizing on the respective strengths of these two optimization methods. To facilitate the solution of the resulting nonlinear program, we develop an equivalent-reformulation-based solution methodology by leveraging a constraint-tightening technique. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed scheme guarantees safety and yields an overall cost reduction up to 14.6% compared with several state-of-the-art methods. © 2024, CC BY.

We study the variability of vertically stacked gate-all-around silicon nanosheet (GAA Si NS) complementary field-effect transistors (CFETs). The process variation effect (PVE), the work function fluctuation (WKF), and the random dopant fluctuation (RDF) of CFETs are statistically estimated using an experimentally validated device simulation technique. Among five factors of PVE, the channel thickness (T Nch /T Pch ), the channel width (W ch ), and the gate length (L G ) are significant. Owing to superior GAA channel control and increased effective gate area, both WKF and RDF are suppressed. Notably, the PVE on both N-/P-FETs of GAA Si CFET induce the largest off-state current fluctuations of 80% and 278%, respectively, because the device characteristic is very sensitive to the layer thickness and width of channel.

Generative AI (GAI) has emerged as a significant advancement in artificial intelligence, renowned for its language and image generation capabilities. This paper presents "AIGenerated Everything" (AIGX), a concept that extends GAI beyond mere content creation to real-time adaptation and control across diverse technological domains. In networking, AIGX collaborates closely with physical, data link, network, and application layers to enhance real-time network management that responds to various system and service settings as well as application and user requirements. Networks, in return, serve as crucial components in further AIGX capability optimization through the AIGX lifecycle, i.e., data collection, distributed pre-training, and rapid decision-making, thereby establishing a mutually enhancing interplay. Moreover, we offer an in-depth case study focused on power allocation to illustrate the interdependence between AIGX and networking systems. Through this exploration, the article analyzes the significant role of GAI for networking, clarifies the ways networks augment AIGX functionalities, and underscores the virtuous interactive cycle they form. This article paves the way for subsequent future research aimed at fully unlocking the potential of GAI and networks. © 2023, CC BY.

Resting state electroencephalogram (EEG) abnormalities in clinically high-risk individuals (CHR), clinically stable first-episode patients with schizophrenia (FES), healthy controls (HC) suggest alterations in neural oscillatory activity. However, few studies directly compare these anomalies among each types. Therefore, this study investigated whether these electrophysiological characteristics differentiate clinical populations from one another, and from non-psychiatric controls. To address this question, resting EEG power and coherence were assessed in 40 clinically high-risk individuals (CHR), 40 first-episode patients with schizophrenia (FES), and 40 healthy controls (HC). These findings suggest that resting EEG can be a sensitive measure for differentiating between clinical *** paper proposes a novel data-driven supervised learning method to obtain identification of the patients mental status in schizophrenia research. According to Marchenko-Pastur Law, the distribution of the eigenvalues of EEG data is divided into signal subspace and noise subspace. A test statistic named LES that embodies the characteristics of all eigenvalues is adopted. different classifier and different feature(LES test function) are selected for experiments, we have shown that using von Neumann Entropy as LES test function combine with SVM classifier could obtain the best average classification accuracy during three classification among HC, FES and CHR of Schizophrenia group with EEG signal. It is worth noting that the result of LES feature extraction with the highest classification accuracy is around 90% in two classification(HC compare with FES) and around 70% in three classification. Electroencephalography is a non-invasive technique for recording brain bioelectric activity, which has potential applications in various fields such as human-computer interaction and neuroscience. Among them, analysis of the risk of schizophrenia using EEG data is a relatively new research topic. However, there are many difficulties in analyzing EEG data, including its complex composition, low amplitude as well as low signal-to-noise ratio. Some of the existing methods of analysis are based on feature extraction and machine learning to differentiate the phase of schizophrenia (First-episode schizophrenia, Healthy controls or Clinical high-risk) that samples belong to. However, medical research requires the use of machine learning not only to give more accurate classification results, but also to give the results that can be applied to pathological studies. The main purpose of this study is to obtain the weight values as the representation of influence of each frequency band on the classification of schizophrenia phases on the basis of a more effective classification method using the LES feature extraction, and then the weight values are processed and applied to improve the accuracy of machine learning classification. We propose a method called weight-voting to obtain the weights of sub-bands features by using results of classification for voting to fit the actual categories of EEG data, and using weights for reclassification. Through this method, we can first obtain the influence of each band in distinguishing three schizophrenia phases, and analyze the effect of band features on the risk of schizophrenia contributing to the study of psychopathology. In addition, the weights applied to the original classifier can achieve the upgrade of the classification effect, which contributes to the BCI-assisted system of diagnosis and treatment. In order to solve the speed problem and shallow reasoning problem met in current research in fault diagnosis expert system, this paper presents a model based parallel fault diagnosis expert system for energy management systems (EMS). The Petri net model, which corresponds to the relationship between power system components and their protection systems, has been used for the inference in fault diagnosis. A multiagent parallel processing expert system, which is based on five transputers in Sun workstation, has been built for fault diagnosis purposes. Efficient Image Super-Resolution with Feature Interaction Weighted Hybrid Network

Lightweight image super-resolution aims to reconstruct high-resolution images from low-resolution images using low computational costs. However, existing methods result in the loss of middle-layer features due to activation functions. To minimize the impact of intermediate feature loss on reconstruction quality, we propose a Feature Interaction Weighted Hybrid Network (FIWHN), which comprises a series of Wide-residual Distillation Interaction Block (WDIB) as the backbone. Every third WDIB forms a Feature Shuffle Weighted Group (FSWG) by applying mutual information shuffle and fusion. Moreover, to mitigate the negative effects of intermediate feature loss, we introduce Wide Residual Weighting units within WDIB. These units effectively fuse features of varying levels of detail through a Wide-residual Distillation Connection (WRDC) and a Self-Calibrating Fusion (SCF). To compensate for global feature deficiencies, we incorporate a Transformer and explore a novel architecture to combine CNN and Transformer. We show that our FIWHN achieves a favorable balance between performance and efficiency through extensive experiments on low-level and high-level tasks. In this paper, we consider a new kind of evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities with feedback effect and a nonlinear bifunction which contain several (evolution) quasi-variational/hemivariational inequalities as special cases. The main contribution of this paper is twofold. The first goal is to establish a novel framework for proving the existence of solutions and the compactness of solution set to the evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, under quite mild assumptions. Whereas, the second contribution is to introduce and study a nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem governed by an evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequality, and then to obtain the sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the solvability of the nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem under consideration. Such nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem could as a useful model to explore the simultaneous distributed-boundary optimal control problems driven by evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, and optimal parameters identification for evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities.
