distributed Virtual Environment (DVE) systems have become more and more important both in academic communities and the industries. To guarantee the load constrain, the physical world integrity and the virtual world integrity, the virtual environment should be divided into several parts and mapped to multiple servers, which are located in geographically different places. Many centralized algorithms based on regular cutting method are proposed to solve this problem. However, the dynamic property of clients and distributed property of the system make the existing algorithms unable to undertake it. In this paper, we propose a metric to measure the cutting quality and design a distributed mapping algorithm based on an irregular cutting. Simulation results show that our algorithm greatly decreases the costs of DVE systems for migration of clients and effectively improves the satisfaction degree of users. ©2009 IEEE.

Asynchrony based overlapping of computation and communication is commonly used in MPI applications. However, this overlapping introduces synchronization errors frequently in asynchronous MPI programming. In this paper, we propose a symbolic execution based method for detecting input-related synchronization errors. The path space of an MPI program is systematically explored, and the related operations of the synchronization errors in the program are checked specifically. In addition, two optimizations are proposed to improve the efficiency. We have implemented our method as a prototype tool based on the symbolic executor Cloud9. The results of the extensive experiments indicate the effectiveness of our method. © 2014 IEEE.

The phenomenon of information dissemination in social networks is widespread, and Social Network Information Cascade Analysis (SNICA) aims to acquire valuable knowledge in the process of information dissemination in social networks. As the number, volume, and resolution of social network data increase rapidly, traditional social network data analysis methods, especially the analysis method of social network graph (SNG) data becoming overwhelmed in SNICA. Recently, deep learning models have changed this situation, and it has achieved success in SNICA with its powerful implicit feature extraction capabilities. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive survey of recent progress in applying deep learning techniques for SNICA. We first introduce related concepts and summarize the advantages of deep learning technology in SNICA. Then, we propose a general framework for deep learning technology, which applies to SNICA. Then, different SNICA application scenarios in the framework are classified and discussed according to user behavior analysis, information cascade analysis, rumor detection, and social network event analysis. Finally, we discuss the limitations of current work and suggest future directions. © 2020 IEEE.

As the basis of many knowledge graph completion tasks, the embedding representation of entities and relations in knowledge graph (KG) is an important task in the fields of Natural Language processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). While most of the existing knowledge graph embedding (KGE) models based on convolutional neural network (CNN) can obtain abundant feature embedding, they may ignore an important fact that the triples in the KG come from the text, as they simply learn about the feature embedding of entities and relations without considering contextual information. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an effective KGE model based on neural network. First of all, we convert the triple (h, r, t) of the KG into a sentence [h r t]. Then, the LSTM neural network is used to learn the long-term dependence of sentences from the input feature vectors. Then, on this basis, the two-layer convolutional neural network with several different filters is used to extract different local features. Finally, the obtained feature vectors are connected together, and the inner product is carried out with the weight vectors to obtain the score of the triple, so as to judge the validity of the given triple. We evaluate our model on two benchmark datasets FB15k-237 and WN18RR, the experimental results show that the model can effectively improve the accuracy of link prediction, achieving better results compared with other baseline models. © 2020 IEEE.

Currently, the performance problems of software systems gets more and more attentions. Among various diagnosis methods based on system traces, principal component analysis (PCA) based methods are widely used due to the high accuracy of the diagnosis results and requiring no specific domain knowledge. However, according to our experiments, we have validated several shortcomings existed in PCA-based methods, including requiring traces with a same call sequence, inefficiency when the traces are long, and missing performance problems. To cope with these issues, we introduce a segmentation based online diagnosis method in this poster. © 2015 IEEE.

Functional programming languages have a long history and receive more and more attention today. The paper focuses on the development of functional languages and aims to introduce the concepts, such as higher-order functions, lazy evaluation, data type, and pattern matching. We also review the evolution of functional programming languages from lambda calculus, Lisp to Haskell. Knowledge representation learning (KRL) is one of the important research topics in artificial intelligence and Natural language processing. It can efficiently calculate the semantics of entities and relations in a low-dimensional space, and effectively solve the problem of data sparsity, which significantly improve the performance of knowledge acquisition, fusion and reasoning and so on. Starting from the five perspectives of distance-based, semantic matching, bilinear-based, neural network model and additional information model, this paper first introduces the overall framework and specific model design, and then correspondingly introduces the experimental evaluation tasks, metrics and benchmark datasets of each model. On this basis, how to apply KRL to various downstream tasks is summarized. © 2020 IEEE.

SUMMARY In this paper, we propose three Deflection-Routing-based Multicast (DRM) schemes for a bufferless NoC. The DRM scheme without packets replication (DRM-noPR) sends multicast packet through a non deterministic path. The DRM schemes with adaptive packets replication (DRM-PR-src and DRMYR-all) replicate multicast packets at the source or intermediate node according to the destination position and the state of output ports to reduce the average multicast latency. We also provide fault tolerant supporting in these schemes through a reinforcement learning based method to reconfigure the routing table to tolerate permanent faulty links in the network. Simulation results illustrate that the DRM-PR-all scheme achieves 4l6o, 43cc and 37% less latency on average than that of the DRM-noPR scheme and 27cc, 29cc and 2S6o less latency on average than that of the DRM-PR-src scheme under three synthetic traffic patterns respectively. In addition, all three fault tolerant DRM schemes achieve acceptable performance degradation at various link fault rates without any packet lost. Trust systems provide a promising way to build trust relationships among users in distributed and opening systems. However, it is difficult to make quantitatively comparative analysis on different trust systems because of the different application settings and the lack of effective measures. This paper constructs a framework of trust systems in terms of linear algebra, which helps us model and implement different systems in a uniform way. Besides, we propose an ordering-based approach to evaluating trust systems, then give two relevant ordering-base measures. The experiment results suggests that our method provides an effective way to analyze and evaluate trust systems. © 2011 IEEE.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) computing systems are rapidly growing in importance as the medium of choice for the mass storage. Peers in the most P2P systems randomly choose logical neighbors without any knowledge about underlying physical topology. This mechanism can cause a serious topology mismatch between the P2P overlay network and the underlying network. It greatly limits the performance gain from various search or routing techniques. In this paper, a distributed topology-aware overlays construction algorithm Taonet is proposed, in which the overlay network construction is based on the location information of underlying topology. The nodes that are close in the logical network are also close in terms of network latency. This leads to low latency stretch of the overlay network. This algorithm is scalable and distributed. Simulation results indicate that the latency of data location in these topology-aware P2P systems that are constructed with Taonet can be significantly decreased. Copyright © 2008 ACM.
