This paper proposes a comprehensive solution to combat the growing threat of Deepfake technology, employing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Blockchain. CNNs analyze video frames for anomalies indicative of Deepfake manipulation, while Blockchain ensures content integrity through timestamping and IPFS hashes. Leveraging transfer learning with EfficientNet-B1 architecture and dropout layers to prevent overfitting, the CNN model attains a 98.53% accuracy on testing data. Smart contracts are utilized to store social media content and AI verification results. The methodology integrates private storage on social media platforms, AI-based CNN verification, Blockchain timestamping, smart contract verification, and continuous improvement. By synergizing AI and Blockchain technologies, our approach aims to bolster defenses against deceptive content proliferation, enhancing the reliability of online media ecosystems. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Historically, the health insurance domain has adhered to uniform premium pricing structures, often sidelining the distinct health nuances of each policyholder. Such broad-brush approaches can result in misaligned premiums, not truly reflective of individual health dynamics. Venturing into uncharted territories, this study proposes an innovative fusion of Federated Machine Learning (FML) and BlockChain methodologies to recalibrate health insurance pricing. FML, a cutting-edge evolution in the machine learning sphere, emphasizes decentralized data processing. By harnessing FML, timely insights can be gathered that mirror an individual’s health trajectory. This continuous insight generation facilitates agile adjustments to insurance premiums, ensuring they resonate with real-time health conditions. BlockChain’s decentralized ledger system acts as the bedrock of this model. Each premium modification, steered by FML-derived insights, is indelibly etched onto the BlockChain. distributed lock services are extensively utilized in distributed systems to serialize concurrent accesses to shared resources. The need for fast and scalable lock services has become more pronounced with decreasing task execution times and expanding dataset scales. However, traditional lock managers, reliant on server CPUs to handle lock requests, experience significant queuing delays in lock grant latency. Advanced network hardware (e.g. programmable switches) presents an avenue to manage locks without queuing delays due to their high packet processing power. Nevertheless, their constrained memory capacity restricts the manageable lock scale, thereby limiting their effect in large-scale *** paper presents FISSLOCK, a fast and scalable distributed lock service that exploits the programmable switch to improve (tail) latency and peak throughput for millions of locks. The key idea behind FISSLOCK is the concept of lock fission, which decouples lock management into grant decision and participant maintenance. FISSLOCK leverages the programmable switch to decide lock grants synchronously and relies on servers to maintain participants (i.e., holders and waiters) asynchronously. By using the programmable switch for routing, FISSLOCK enables on-demand fine-grained lock migration, thereby reducing the lock grant and release delays. FISSLOCK carefully designs and implements grant decision procedure on the programmable switch, supporting over one million locks. Evaluation using various benchmarks and a real-world application shows the efficiency of FISSLOCK. Compared to the state-of-the-art switch-based approach (NetLock), FISSLOCK cuts up to 79.1% (from 43.0%) of median lock grant time in the microbenchmark and improves transaction throughput for TATP and TPC-C by 1.76× and 2.28×, respectively.

A high-capacitance, compact, low-cost, and convenient optical data-link subsystem for parallel computers is developed using an 8 Gb/s x 1.1 Gb/s multimode fiber (MMF) array optical module and newly developed data-link IC. Although the subsystem uses an MMF ribbon, parallel data is successfully transmitted over 1 km due to +/-15-ns deskew operation of the IC. The subsystem operated stably in a processor networking testbed system of the Real World Computer-1, a newly constructed parallel computer, Random packets are transmitted without any error for over 17.5 h, corresponding to a bit-error rate (BER) of less than 10(-15).

As well known, cloud computing follows dual pricing approach. It follows free-to-use as well as pay-per-use model approach, in which a user pays for the quantum of the resources they consume over a period of time. Depending on the demand, a customer requests for the resources and the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) allocates the resources matching to the customer’s requirements. In the past, in the simulation conducted using CloudSim software, researchers have usually worked with the pre-loaded and default values of variables for the resource allocation without considering the end-user requirement. Computer science is a practical discipline. It is always a great challenge to evaluate students' computer practice using computer-aided means for large scale students. We always need to address problems such as suspected plagiarism and deviation of the overall difficulty factor. In this paper, a multi-dimensional assessment model is designed for CS courses based on the detailed practice processing data in an E-learning system. The model comprehensively evaluates the students' learning process and results in three aspects of correctness, originality, and quality detection. Besides, the teacher can easily participate in the assessment according to their needs. The correctness is an essential requirement, and the originality is based on the clustering results of students' behaviors after clone detection to curb homework plagiarism. SonarQube is used to detect code quality and put forward higher requirements for codes. Manual participation intelligence has improved the flexibility and applicability of the model to a certain extent. We applied this model on the EduCoder online education platform and carried out a comprehensive analysis of 485 students in the parallel Programming Principles and Practice Class of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Experiment results confirm the distinction, rationality, and fairness of the model in assessing student performance. It not only gives students a credible, comprehensive score in large-scale online practical programming courses but also gives teachers and students corresponding suggestions based on the evaluation results. Furthermore, the model can be extended to other online education platforms. © 2020 ACM.

In order to generate local addresses for an array section A(l:h:s) with block-cyclic distribution, an efficient compiling method is required. In this paper, two local address generation methods for the block-cyclic distribution are presented. One is a simple local address generation method that is modified from the virtual-block scheme. The other is a linear-time ΔM table construction method. The array elements of A(l:h:s) to be accessed at run-time build up a family of lines. By using the equation of the lines, a ΔM table can be generated in O(k) time. Experimental results show that a simple local address generation method has poor performance but a linear-time ΔM table generation method is faster than other algorithms in ΔM table generation time and access time for 10,000 array elements. © 1997 IEEE.

Non-Fungible Token(NFT) is the latest tech-jargon buzzing in IT Industry. The continuous work in the area of securing contents with BlockChain has given rise to Non-Fungible Tokens(NFTs). One of the major problems of digital assets is the claim of ownership, as to how to verify ownership of digital assets (like audios, music videos, digital art, streaming contents on the web, etc.) which is accessed/copied by billions. NFTs are unique and distinct from each other thus securing the ownership. These tokens are used to represent a digital asset and contain a proof of ownership. As the BlockChain technology grows, its applications have been designed, developed and deployed in a variety of industries. In this research, we intend to give an idea of NFT and related technology. The papers accepted cover a wide range of exciting topics, including resource grid and service grid, information grid and knowledge grid, grid monitoring,managementand organizationtools, grid portal, grid service, Web s- vices and their QoS, service orchestration, grid middleware and toolkits, software glue technologies, grid security, innovative grid applications, advanced resource reservation andscheduling,performanceevaluationandmodeling,computer-supportedcooperative work, P2P computing, automatic computing, and meta-information management. The conference continues to grow and this year a record total of 581 manuscripts (including workshop submissions) were submitted for consideration. Expecting this growth, the size of the program committee was increased from 50 members for GCC 2003 for 70 in GCC 2004. Relevant differences from previous editions of the conf- ence: it is worth mentioning a signi?cant increase in the number of papers submitted by authors from outside China; and the acceptance rate was much lower than for p- vious GCC conferences. From the 427 papers submitted to the main conference, the program committee selected only 96 regular papers for oral presentation and 62 short papers for poster presentation in the program.

In this Internet era, we have become heavily dependent on the World Wide Web and it has become a basic amenity for humans. A normal user can be trapped easily in this vicious web if not careful enough. It is a field that requires users to be on their toes every time they try to connect to this enormous interconnection of networks. Reports and Surveys have said that in the coming years, Cybercrime could become the biggest threat. In this proposed work, the authors have deployed applications and designed malware for the purpose of simulating various kinds of cyber-attacks so that they could study their effects & affects and ultimately devise solutions to resolve the vulnerabilities in a system. These applications included networking concepts & protocols and a software based keylogger which was developed with no malicious intent, but to analyse the architectural view or design of a malware and to study the stages of a malware attack like entry, distribution, exploitation, infection and execution. Efforts have been made to demonstrate spooting attacks with an idea of identifying vulnerabilities and security loopholes in a particular system that can be exploited by an attacker if not resolved within time. © 2023 IEEE.
