In the design and planning of next-generation Internet of Things(IoT),telecommunication,and satellite communication systems,controller placement is crucial in software-defined networking(SDN).The programmability of the SDN controller is sophisticated for the centralized control system of the entire ***,it creates a significant loophole for the manifestation of a distributed denial of service(DDoS)attack ***,recently a distributed Reflected Denial of Service(DRDoS)attack,an unusual DDoS attack,has been ***,minimal deliberation has given to this forthcoming single point of SDN infrastructure failure ***,recently the high frequencies of DDoS attacks have increased *** this paper,a smart algorithm for planning SDN smart backup controllers under DDoS attack scenarios has *** proposed smart algorithm can recommend single or multiple smart backup controllers in the event of DDoS *** obtained simulated results demonstrate that the validation of the proposed algorithm and the performance analysis achieved 99.99%accuracy in placing the smart backup controller under DDoS attacks within 0.125 to 46508.7 s in SDN.

In this paper, a framework for replacing missing values in a database is proposed since a real-world database is seldom complete. Good data quality in a database can directly improve the performance of any data mining algorithm in various applications. Our proposed framework adopts the basic concepts from conditional probability theories and further develops an algorithm to facilitate the capability of handling both nominal and numerical values, which addresses the problem of the inability of handling both nominal and numerical values with a high degree of accuracy in the existing algorithms. Several experiments are conducted and the experimental results demonstrate that our framework provides a high accuracy when compared with most of the commonly used algorithms such as using the average value, using the maximum value, and using the minimum value to replace missing values.

MTD: Multi-Timestep Detector for Delayed Streaming Perception

Autonomous driving systems require real-time environmental perception to ensure user safety and experience. Streaming perception is a task of reporting the current state of the world, which is used to evaluate the delay and accuracy of autonomous driving systems. In real-world applications, factors such as hardware limitations and high temperatures inevitably cause delays in autonomous driving systems, resulting in the offset between the model output and the world state. In order to solve this problem, this paper propose the Multi-Timestep Detector (MTD), an end-to-end detector which uses dynamic routing for multi-branch future prediction, giving model the ability to resist delay fluctuations. A Delay Analysis Module (DAM) is proposed to optimize the existing delay sensing method, continuously monitoring the model inference stack and calculating the delay trend. Moreover, a novel Timestep Branch Module (TBM) is constructed, which includes static flow and adaptive flow to adaptively predict specific timesteps according to the delay trend. The proposed method has been evaluated on the Argoverse-HD dataset, and the experimental results show that it has achieved state-of-the-art performance across various delay settings. As an important node in the dismantling and grouping of freight trains, the operational tasks of the railway technical station are increasingly busy. Various business activities involve a large number of field personnel, and ensuring the personal safety and operational efficiency of these personnel is one of these issues that railway operations need to *** ensure the operational safety and standardization at the railway technical station, high-precision positioning system for the personnel is required. However, typical operational scenarios at railway technical stations often involve problems such as the carriage obstruction and the electromagnetic interference. Only rely on GNSS for positioning is often insufficient to meet practical requirements. Addressing the need of the high-precision positioning for the operational personnel at railway technical stations, this paper constructs a integrated navigation system based on RTK and IMU. It utilizes a Discrete Error State Kalman Filtering algorithm to fuse the solution data from RTK and IMU, thereby obtaining high-precision pedestrian positioning data. Compared to relying solely on GNSS positioning system, the integrated navigation system significantly improves its resistance to the interference and positioning accuracy. Experimental results demonstrate that this positioning system can achieve centimeter-level positioning in obstructed scenarios typical of railway technical stations, meeting the positioning requirements of the operational personnel at railway technical station work sites. © 2024 IEEE.

Log parsing is the initial stage of automated log analysis, which mainly involves converting semi-structured log messages into structured log templates. However, the initial log data size of software systems and services is relatively small, which limits the effectiveness of existing $\log$ parsers. Traditional data-driven log parsers use the structured nature of logs to construct domain rules, which may make it difficult to maintain stable performance when dealing with log data of different sizes and types due to mismatches. To address the limitations of existing methods, this paper proposes a log parsing method called LogSPL, which captures high-quality samples from small-scale log data based on semantics and extracts log templates using prompt learning. The research in this paper performs extensive experiments on 16 benchmark $\log$ datasets. The results show that LogSPL improves parsing accuracy and group accuracy by 3.2% and 2.6% over the optimal parser.

The pre-training language model BERT has brought significant performance improvements to a series of natural language processing tasks, but due to the large scale of the model, it is difficult to be applied in many practical application scenarios. With the continuous development of edge computing, deploying the models on resource-constrained edge devices has become a trend. Considering the distributed edge environment, how to take into account issues such as data distribution differences, labeling costs, and privacy while the model is shrinking is a critical task. The paper proposes a new BERT distillation method with source-free unsupervised domain adaptation. By combining source-free unsupervised domain adaptation and knowledge distillation for optimization and improvement, the performance of the BERT model is improved in the case of cross-domain data. Compared with other methods, our method can improve the average prediction accuracy by up to around 4% through the experimental evaluation of the cross-domain sentiment analysis task.

Recent years have witnessed much interest in Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) technologies, which are gaining unprecedented momentum and commercial interest towards the realisation of the Internet of Things (IoT). Long Range (LoRa), as a representative LPWA technology, has the potential to satisfy the growing demand for the longer range and larger amount connectivities in vehicular communication networks. In this paper, LoRa is firstly applied into two typical vehicular networks, namely Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I)and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), and performance of LoRa schemes with different parameter configurations are evaluated and compared. Further, Monte Carlo simulations indicate that the schemes equipped with higher bandwidth or lower spreading factor exhibit significant advantages in combating the fast fading caused by Doppler effect in networks. © 2018 IEEE.

The processor's Performance Monitor Unit (PMU) allows the recording of architectural and microarchitectural events for profiling purposes. In this study, we reveal a security issue caused by the fact that current PMU implementations are capable of recording some events that happened during transient executions. We propose the PMU -Spill attack, a new kind of attack that enables attackers to maliciously leak the secret data in transient executions. We demonstrate on real hardware that PMU -Spill attack can leak the secret data stored in Intel Software Guard Extensions (SGX). In addition, we perform a thorough study to reveal all the vulnerable PMU counters and find that 20 of them can be used to achieve PMU -Spill attack. Our experiments suggest that the throughput of PMU -Spill attack is up to 575.3 bytes per second (Bps) with an average error rate of 1.89% when leaking the SGX-protected secret data.

The performance of an ad-hoc network is greatly limited by collisions due to hidden terminals. In this paper, we propose a receiver tracking contention (RTC) scheme, which achieves high throughput by allowing the receivers to assist for channel contention. In RTC, link is the basic unit for channel access contention. Specifically, transmitter is used to contend for the channel and receiver is used to announce the potential collision. Based on INT message coding scheme, transmitter and its corresponding receiver can be well coordinated. In such mechanism, hidden terminals are avoided and exposed terminals are encouraged to transmit simultaneously. Based on OFDM modulation, RTC packets several subcarriers as subcontention unit and operates channel contention over multiple subcontention units. Furthermore, each subcontention unit maintains a transmission set, where collision-free links are allowed to merged into the transmission set In this case, the transmission set of subcontention unit can be aggregated after each contention period. When the subcontention unit i is the smallest index of non-empty subcontention unit, the transmission set of unit i will win the channel contention and transmitters of unit i will start to transmit in the following data transmission period. Analysis and simulation results show that RTC achieves a notable throughput gain over Back2f as high as 190% through simulation.
