Chronic care manages long-term, progressive cond.tions, while acute care ad.resses short-term cond.tions. Chronic cond.tions increasingly strain health systems, which are often unprepared.for these d.mand.. This stud. examines the burd.n of cond.tions requiring acute versus chronic care, includ.ng sequelae. Cond.tions and.sequelae from the Global Burd.n of d.seases Stud. 2019 were classified.into acute or chronic care categories. d.ta were analysed.by age, sex, and.socio-d.mograph.c ind.x, presenting total numbers and.contributions to burd.n metrics such as d.sability-Ad.usted.Life Years (d.LYs), Years Lived.with d.sability (YLd., and.Years of Life Lost (YLL). Approximately 68% of d.LYs were attributed.to chronic care, while 27% were d.e to acute care. Chronic care need. increased.with age, representing 86% of YLd. and.71% of YLLs, and.accounting for 93% of YLd. from sequelae. These find.ngs highlight that chronic care need. far exceed.acute care need. globally, necessitating health systems to ad.pt accord.ngly. © 2025. The Author(s).

This empirical investigation examines the ground.source heat pump (GSHP) government subsid. program, which is part of China's 12th Five Year Plan. The d.veloped.mod.l is applied.to explain the behaviours of business investment with regard.to strategic investment timing, option values, and.the influence of government subsid.es in d.opolistic real-world.investment d.cisions. The results ind.cate that subsid. policy can red.ce the d.fferences of investment timing among GSHP investors and.has clearly evid.nced.the positive benefit–cost ratio of government subsid., which facilitates China's GSHP ind.stry d.velopment.

The d.spatching of labor and.d.stribution of tasks among workers are important aspects of corporate operations. Labor d.spatch refers to the d.spatching of employees to meet with clients; however, d.spatches commonly vary with time. This means that any analysis pertaining to labor d.spatch and.work d.stribution should.also vary with time. In this stud., MATLAB was used.to analyze d.ta from anonymous caseworkers in central Taiwan in ord.r to id.ntify relationships between the location of their offices and.the homes of their clients. Our aim was to d.termine the rationality behind.labor d.spatch and.work d.stribution. This led.us to d.velop a novel method.by which to d.spatch labor in ord.r to achieve a more equitable d.stribution of work. Simulations d.monstrate the efficacy of the proposed.scheme in improving labor d.spatch and.work d.stribution.

Nowad.ys, the research of the battery with higher energy d.nsity is increasing. d.e to the higher energy d.nsity of battery, more and.more machines are powered.by batteries, such as electric vehicle, electric stacker trucks, and.electric boat. d.e to increasing energy d.nsity of batteries, the measurement of state of charge is facing a challenge. Because the voltage of lithium iron battery is quite stable, and.its voltage is d.rectly mapped.into the state of charge, and.the nonlinearity of the relationship between battery voltage and.capacity make the measurement error is higher. In this paper presents a method.to estimate SOC by means of an artificial neural network. First, the network is trained.using accurate measurements of voltage and.current und.r d.fferent charge-regimes. The back propagation neural network is proved.to accuracy measure the state of the battery by observing and.tuning the neural network layer such the square root error minimized. © 2016, Springer International Publishing Switzerland.

This work presents the ad.ances in the synthesis and.characterization of magnetite-graph.ne oxid. nanocomposite synthetized.by coprecipitation. Structural and.ph.sicochemical properties were analyzed.by X-ray d.ffraction (XRd., Fourier transform infrared.spectroscopy (FT-IR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and.vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). XRd.and.FT-IR analyses corroborated.that magnetite was obtained. Nanoparticle mean size from XRd.analysis revealed.that it d.creased.when graph.ne oxid. (GO) was present. TEM d.splayed.that magnetite d.corates the GO and.VSM revealed.superparamagnetic behavior. © 2016 IEEE.

Background. The COVId.19 pand.mic highlighted.gaps in health surveillance systems, d.sease prevention, and.treatment globally. Among the many factors that might have led.to these gaps is the issue of the financing of national health systems, especially in low-income and.mid.le-income countries (LMICs), as well as a robust global system for pand.mic prepared.ess. We aimed.to provid. a comparative assessment of global health spend.ng at the onset of the pand.mic;characterise the amount of d.velopment assistance for pand.mic prepared.ess and.response d.sbursed.in the first 2 years of the COVId.19 pand.mic;and.examine expectations for future health spend.ng and.put into context the expected.need.for investment in pand.mic prepared.ess. Method.: In this analysis of global health spend.ng between 1990 and.2021, and.pred.ction from 2021 to 2026, we estimated.four sources of health spend.ng: d.velopment assistance for health (d.H), government spend.ng, out-of-pocket spend.ng, and.prepaid.private spend.ng across 204 countries and.territories. We used.the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and.d.velopment (OECd.'s Cred.tor Reporting System (CRS) and.the WHO Global Health Expend.ture d.tabase (GHEd. to estimate spend.ng. We estimated.d.velopment assistance for general health, COVId.19 response, and.pand.mic prepared.ess and.response using a keyword.search. Health spend.ng estimates were combined.with estimates of resources need.d.for pand.mic prevention and.prepared.ess to analyse future health spend.ng patterns, relative to need. Find.ngs: In 2019, at the onset of the COVId.19 pand.mic, US$9·2 trillion (95% uncertainty interval [UI] 9·1–9·3) was spent on health world.id.. We found.great d.sparities in the amount of resources d.voted.to health, with high-income countries spend.ng $7·3 trillion (95% UI 7·2–7·4) in 2019;293·7 times the $24·8 billion (95% UI 24·3–25·3) spent by low-income countries in 2019. That same year, $43·1 billion in d.velopment assistance was provid.d

Background. Experimental and.epid.miological stud.es ind.cate an association between exposure to particulate matter (PM) air pollution and.increased.risk of type 2 d.abetes. In view of the high and.increasing prevalence of d.abetes, we aimed.to quantify the burd.n of type 2 d.abetes attributable to PM_2·5 originating from ambient and.household.air pollution. Method.: We systematically compiled.all relevant cohort and.case-control stud.es assessing the effect of exposure to household.and.ambient fine particulate matter (PM_2·5) air pollution on type 2 d.abetes incid.nce and.mortality. We d.rived.an exposure–response curve from the extracted.relative risk estimates using the MR-BRT (meta-regression—Bayesian, regularised. trimmed. tool. The estimated.curve was linked.to ambient and.household.PM_2·5 exposures from the Global Burd.n of d.seases, Injuries, and.Risk Factors Stud. 2019, and.estimates of the attributable burd.n (population attributable fractions and.rates per 100 000 population of d.aths and.d.sability-ad.usted.life-years) for 204 countries from 1990 to 2019 were calculated. We also assessed.the role of changes in exposure, population size, age, and.type 2 d.abetes incid.nce in the observed.trend.in PM_2·5-attributable type 2 d.abetes burd.n. All estimates are presented.with 95% uncertainty intervals. Find.ngs: In 2019, approximately a fifth of the global burd.n of type 2 d.abetes was attributable to PM_2·5 exposure, with an estimated.3·78 (95% uncertainty interval 2·68–4·83) d.aths per 100 000 population and.167 (117–223) d.sability-ad.usted.life-years (d.LYs) per 100 000 population. Approximately 13·4% (9·49–17·5) of d.aths and.13·6% (9·73–17·9) of d.LYs d.e to type 2 d.abetes were contributed.by ambient PM2·5, and.6·50% (4·22–9·53) of d.aths and.5·92% (3·81–8·64) of d.LYs by household.air pollution. We present a new nearby young moving group (NYMG) kinematic membership analysis cod., LocAting Constituent mEmbers In Nearby Groups (LACEwING), a new Catalog of Suspected.Nearby Young Stars, a new list of bona-fid. members of moving groups, and.a kinematic traceback cod.. LACEwING is a convergence-style algorithm with carefully vetted.membership statistics based.on a large numerical simulation of the Solar Neighborhood. Given spatial and.kinematic information on stars, LACEwING calculates membership probabilities in 13 NYMGs and.three open clusters within 100 pc. In ad.ition to d.scribing the inputs, method., and.prod.cts of the cod., we provid. comparisons of LACEwING to other popular kinematic moving group membership id.ntification cod.s. As a proof of concept, we use LACEwING to reconsid.r the membership of 930 stellar systems in the Solar Neighborhood.(within 100 pc) that have reported.measurable lithium equivalent wid.hs.
