Liposomes, sph.rical ph.sph.lipid.vesicles with a unique morph.logy mimicking that of bod. cells, have emerged.as versatile nanoparticles for d.ug d.livery. Their biocompatibility, low cytotoxicity, targeted.d.livery, and.hyd.oph.bic and.hyd.oph.lic characteristics make them stand.out over trad.tional d.ug d.livery systems. Liposomes can be tailored.in size, composition, lamellarity, and.surface charge, offering a unique level of customization for various applications. Extensive research in liposome technology has led.to the d.velopment of a wid. range of liposomal formulations with enhanced.functionalities, such as PEGylated.liposomes, ligand.targeted.liposomes, and.stimuli-responsive liposomes. Beyond.their crucial role in cancer treatment, liposomes play a significant role in influenza, COVId.19, cancer, and.hepatitis A vaccines. They are also utilized.in pain management, fungal treatment, brain targeting, and.topical and.ocular d.ug d.livery. This review offers insight into the types of liposomes, their composition, preparation method., characterization method., and.clinical applications. Ad.itionally, it d.scusses challenges and.highlights potential future d.rections in liposome-based.d.ug d.livery.

Plasticrusts manifest as a coating on intertid.l rocks d.e to environmental exposure. They refer to crushed.plastic d.bris that blankets rocks found.along intertid.l shorelines. This stud. significantly contributes to a better und.rstand.ng of the occurrence of these novel plastic formations, shed.ing light on their potential pathways of formation d.ring the Anthropocene era. The research provid.s comprehensive insights into the composition, origins, challenges, and.effective management strategies for removing coastal plastic litter. The find.ngs of this investigation offer valuable evid.nce regard.ng the formation and.impact of these recently d.scovered.plastic items in coastal regions, prompting d.scussions about their formation processes and.their effects on the marine ecosystem. Small-Molecule Analysis Based.on d.A Strand.d.splacement Using a Bacteriorhod.psin ph.toelectric Transd.cer: Taking ATP as an Example

A uniformly oriented.purple membrane (PM) monolayer containing ph.toactive bacteriorhod.psin has recently been applied.as a sensitive ph.toelectric transd.cer to assay color proteins and.microbes quantitatively. This stud. extend. its application to d.tecting small molecules, using ad.nosine triph.sph.te (ATP) as an example. A reverse d.tection method.is used. which employs AuNPs labeling and.specific d.A strand.d.splacement. A PM monolayer-coated.electrod. is first covalently conjugated.with an ATP-specific nucleic acid.aptamer and.then hybrid.zed.with another gold.nanoparticle-labeled.nucleic acid.strand.with a sequence that is partially complementary to the ATP aptamer, in ord.r to significantly minimize the ph.tocurrent that is generated.by the PM. The resulting ATP-sensing chip restores its ph.tocurrent prod.ction in the presence of ATP, and.the ph.tocurrent recovers more effectively as the ATP concentration increases. d.rect and.single-step ATP d.tection is achieved.in 15 min, with d.tection limits of 5 nM and.a d.namic range of 5 nM–0.1 mM. The sensing chip exhibits high selectivity against other ATP analogs and.is satisfactorily stable in storage. The ATP-sensing chip is used.to assay bacterial populations and.achieves a d.tection limit for Bacillus subtilis and.Escherichia coli of 102 and.103 CFU/mL, respectively. The d.monstration shows that a variety of small molecules can be simultaneously quantified.using PM-based.biosensors. © 2023 by the authors.

Here we d.monstrate that cancer metastasis could.be mod.lated.by the jud.cious tuning of ph.sical parameters such as ph.tothermal temperature in nanoparticle-med.ated.ph.tothermal therapy (PTT). This is supported.by theranostic nanosystem d.sign and.characterization, in vitro and.in vivo analyses, and.transcriptome-based.gene profiling. In this work, the highly efficient near-infrared.II (NIR-II) ph.toacoustic image (PA)-guid.d.PTT are selectively activated.using our d.veloped.matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-triggered.in situ assembly of gold.nanod.nd.lions (GNd.@gelatin). Unlike other "always-on" NIR PTT agents lacking specific bioactivation and.suffering from the intrinsic nonspecific pseud.signals and.treatment-related.sid. effects such as metastasis, our GNd.@gelatin possesses important ad.antages while d.ployed.in cancer PTT that includ. the following: (1) The theranostic effects could.be "turned.on" only after specific MMP-2/-9 activity and.with acid.ty in the tumor microenvironment. (2) The quantitative PA d.agnosis allows for precise PTT planning for better cancer treatment. (3) GNd.@gelatin could.noninvasively quantify MMP activity and.efficiently harness NIR-I (808 nm) and.NIR-II (1064 nm) energies for tumor ablation. (4) The multibranched.nanostructures reabsorb scattered.laser ph.tons, thus enhancing the surface plasmons for the pronounced.ph.tothermal conversion of aggregated.GNd.@gelatin in situ. (5) It is noteworthy that in situ tumor erad.cation at higher PTT temperature (>55 °C) med.ated.by GNd.@gelatin could.ind.ce subsequent metastasis, which could.be otherwise abolished.at lower PTT temperatures (50 °C > T > 43 °C). (6) Furthermore, the gene profiling using transcriptome-based.microarray includ.ng GO and.KEGG analyses revealed.that 315 d.fferentially expressed.genes were id.ntified.in higher PTT temperature treated.tumors compared.with lower PTT temperature ones. Here, we propose ph.se and.interfacial engineering by inserting a functional WO3 layer and.selenized.it to achieve a 2d.layered.WSe2/WO3 heterolayer structure by a plasma-assisted.selenization process. The 2d.layered.WSe2/WO3 heterolayer was coupled.with an Al2O3 film as a resistive switching (RS) layer to form a hybrid.structure, with which Pt and.W films were used.as the top and.bottom electrod.s, respectively. The d.vice with good.uniformity in SET/RESET voltage and.high low-/high-resistance wind.w can be obtained.by controlling a conversion ratio from a WO3 film to a 2d.layered.WSe2 thin film. The Pt/Al2O3/(2d.layered.WSe2/WO3)/W structure shows remarkable improvement to the pristine Pt/Al2O3/W and.Pt/Al2O3/2d.layered.WO3/W in terms of low SET/RESET voltage variability (−20/20)%, multilevel characteristics (uniform LRS/HRS d.stribution), high on/off ratio (104-105), and.retention (∼105 s). The thickness of the obtained.WSe2 was tuned.at d.fferent gas ratios to optimize d.fferent 2d.layered.WSe2/WO3 (%) ratios, showing a d.stinctive trend.of red.ced.and.uniform SET/RESET voltage variability as 2d.layered.WSe2/WO3 (%) changes from 90/10 (%) to 45/55 (%), respectively. The electrical measurements confirm the superior ability of the metallic 1T ph.se of the 2d.layered.WSe2 over the semicond.cting 2H ph.se. Through systemic stud.es of RS behaviors on the effect of 1T/2H ph.ses and.2d.layered.WSe2/WO3 ratios, the low-temperature plasma-assisted.selenization offers compatibility with the temperature-limited.3d.integration process and.also provid.s much better thickness control over a large area. © 2023 American Chemical Society.

Human health/socioeconomic d.velopment is closely correlated.to environmental pollution, highlighting the need.to monitor contaminants in the real environment with reliable d.vices such as biosensors. Recently, variety of biosensors gained.high attention and.employed.as application, in real-time, and.cost-effective analytical tools for healthy environment. For continuous environmental monitoring, it is necessary for portable, cost-effective, quick, and.flexible biosensing d.vices. These benefits of the biosensor strategy are related.to the Sustainable d.velopment Goals (Sd.s) established.by the United.Nations (UN), especially with reference to clean water and.sources of energy. However, the relationship between Sd.s and.biosensor application for environmental monitoring is not well und.rstood. In ad.ition, some limitations and.challenges might hind.r the biosensor application on environmental monitoring. Herein, we reviewed.the d.fferent types of biosensors, principle and.applications, and.their correlation with Sd. 6, 12, 13, 14, and.15 as a reference for related.authorities and.ad.inistrators to consid.r. In this review, biosensors for d.fferent pollutants such as heavy metals and.organics were d.cumented. The present stud. highlights the application of biosensor for achieving Sd.s. In this research, we propose a humming-to-instrument conversion system based.on cycle-consistent ad.ersarial networks (CycleGAN) to convert human humming to the sound.of viola. This research ad.usts the weight of cycle-consistency loss and.id.ntity loss to successfully convert the sound. From the experimental results of objective RMSE, the converted.aud.o is more similar to viola compared.to the similarity to humming. From the results of subjective MOS, the quality of the converted.sound.is fair to listeners. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper, we have presented.our experiment results includ.ng (a) use a slowly thermal spray process d.position an yttrium oxid. (Y 2 O 3 ) film with thickness of $200\ \mu\mathrm{m}$ on the aluminum alloy (AA6061). The image analysis showed.that the porosity of Y 2 O 3 film can be red.ced.to less than 2%. The further aerosol d.position can be used.filling the pores and.can red.ce the porosity of the film to less than 0.5%. This low-porosity Y 2 O 3 film will be able to meet the increasingly stringent requirements for surface coating protection of semicond.ctor vacuum chamber. (b) Compared.the corrosion characterization in 3.5 wt. % NaCl solution between naked.AA6061 and.AA6061 with Y 2 O 3 coating, a high corrosion reactivity ( $\mathrm{I}_{\text{corr}}=10^{-3.3}\mathrm{A}/\text{cm}^d.$ ) of naked.AA6061 then AA6061 with Y 2 O 3 coating ( $\mathrm{I}_{\text{corr}}=10^{-5.8}\mathrm{A}/\text{cm}^d.$ ). The corrosion reactivity of AA6061 with Y 2 O 3 is red.ced.by 316 times to a naked.AA6061.
