This research aims to create a virtual reality-based practice system that simulates real-stage performance environments, assisting amateur dancers in overcoming stage fright and practicing group choreography that is difficult to achieve during individual practice. In this study, users can engage in performance simulations within the created system using the HTC VIVE virtual reality device. Within the system, we have developed a virtual stage space system that only requires a 2m x 3.5m physical area to simulate a large virtual stage experience. Users can also simulate choreographic positioning with virtual dance partners within this system, providing amateur dancers with group dance rehearsal practice opportunities that are not feasible during solo practice. Additionally, by creating three different audience modes, we aim to help users simulate various audience scenarios they may encounter during a performance. The system includes a recording feature that captures users' simulated performances, allowing them to review their actions and receive feedback after practice. © 2024 IEEE.

Little research has been done for artificial intelligence applications of semiconductor backend. This study aims to develop a deep learning based fault diagnosis framework as prognostics and health management (phM) solutions with a comprehensive analytics process. A linear encoder sensor is employed to measure position, while data preparation is conducted to convert position information into a signal. Then, signal processing is used to extract the features, in which high pass filter is applied to normalize the signal and emphasize the features. High-dimensional features including time domain statistical features, time-frequency domain features obtained by continuous wavelet transform (CWT), and frequency domain features converted by fast Fourier transform (FFT) are extracted to prepare the dataset. An ensemble neural network model that integrates deep neural network (dNN) and convolutional neural network (CNN) is employed to recognize the pattern and diagnose the positioning errors. The accuracy and false alarm rate are considered to support maintenance decisions. An empirical study was conducted in a world leading IC assembly and testing company for validation. The results have shown that the proposed approach can effectively detect inappropriate installation of the bond head in wire bonding equipment for predictive maintenance and cost reduction. © 1988-2012 IEEE.

With the rapid development of the Internet, telemedicine information systems (TLS) appear more and more around us. Nevertheless, the security of patient’s medical infor-mation remains one of the most critical factors for the widespread adoption of TLS. Recently, Liu et al. pro-posed an improved three-factor authentication scheme. Through the BAN logic verification, their scheme is se-cure. However, the user needs to remember the long random number, which is impractical. In addition, their scheme could not withstand the fake smart card attack and a difficult-to-remember random number. In this ar-ticle, we will improve their scheme for practicality and security. © (2023), All Rights Reserved.

Students’ computational thinking and programming skills may grow due to collaborative programming. But as the researchers have noted, students frequently do not use metacognition to manage their cognitive activities while collaborating, which negatively affects learning. This study created a metacognition-based collaborative programming (MCP) system to improve students’ performance in collaborative programming. A seven-week study examined how the approach affected students’ performance in programming courses. The 88 middle school students were split into two groups: the experimental group received the metacognition-based collaborative programming approach, and the control group received the conventional computer-supported collaborative programming approach. The results indicated that the metacognitive-based collaborative programming approach enhanced students’ academic scores in programming courses and their computational thinking tendencies. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

COVId-19 outbreaks and becomes serious from 2019 winter. Taking body temperature, wearing masks, recording footprint and avoiding crowds become important tasks and require a lot of manpower support for the prevention of the epidemic in every. In this study, we have integrated the infrared thermometer devices to measure people temperature and the people identities through RGB images at the entrance of buildings. Using the computer vision and deep learning methods, we would like to build a 24/7 and region-wide coverage assistance system to automatically record the footprint of a specific people in the building. We also detect if people taking off their masks in the yard at any time. The processing videos are grabbed from the existing CCTV systems. The developed system also locates the crowd and calculate the number of people in a specified area, and the manager can know the number of people and control the access in real time. It will reduce the burden of manpower. In addition, we have optimized the system performance to handle multiple camera videos and to reduce the hardware cost at the same time. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, Wei & Chen proposed a secure three-party mutual authentication protocol for RFId based on elliptic curve cryptography (ECC). Their approach can allow insecure communication between the reader and the backend, so their approach must achieve mutual authentication between the tag, reader, and backend. In addition, their method also satisfies the essential characteristics of RFId systems, such as confidentiality, anonymity, resistance to tracking attacks, and spoofing attacks. However, this article finds that its method cannot meet the mutual authentication and denial of service attacks. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Properties of the mixing layer height retrieved from ceilometer measurements in Slovakia and its relationship to the air pollutant concentrations

Mixing layer height (MLH) is an important meteorological parameter for air quality since it significantly affects ground-level pollution in the atmosphere. This study examined the properties of the MLH on diurnal and seasonal timescales over a 3-year period (2020–2022) using high temporal resolution measurements from eight Vaisala CL31 ceilometers situated around Slovakia. Hourly averaged MLH data was retrieved from the BL-View software using merged method. The highest daily maxima for the MLH occurred mostly in summer and spring, while the lowest values occurred predominantly during winter and autumn. The average MLH daily maximum in summer was 2229 m, and just 859 m in winter. during summer, the spatial distribution of the MLH daily maxima was more uniform compared to winter, when the air masses within the individual valleys did not mix well. Correlations between ground-level pollutant concentrations and hourly mean/daily mean MLH were analyzed. The highest correlation, R≈0.6, was found for O3. For PM10, PM2.5, and NOx, the anticorrelations with MLH were found with maximum in winter (R ≈ − 0.3 for hourly data and R ≈ − 0.5 for daily mean data) but no relation in summer. Lastly, the ceilometer MLH was compared to the radiosonde retrieved MLH for various cloud covers. Our analysis is based on an extensive set of empirical data, which can improve the accuracy and effectiveness of meteorological and atmospheric chemistry models. The findings can support air pollution forecasting and warning systems, providing valuable insights for policymakers and researchers. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Psychological Needs Analysis of Urban Tall Building Landscape design Based on Affective Computing

Landscape design is a human-centered service industry, which is bound to be improved according to the psychological needs of users. This paper starts from the graphical emotion dictionary, constructs the dictionary containing a three-part graph structure, calculates the positive and negative probability of the emotional tendency of , and judges the emotional extreme value of the text. According to the emotional extreme value to establish a theoretical model of implicit psychological needs of urban high-rise landscape design, combined with natural language processing and causal inference theory, to identify the causal relationship and psychological needs of the user's emotional expression obtained, and to utilize the emotional correlation to weight the distance calculation, to ensure the relevance of the sample. Using the constructed emotional calculation model, calculate the psychological needs of users for urban high-rise landscape design, compare the emotional value of the design needs of different high-rise landscapes, and select the landscape design program that best meets the needs of users. Users' psychological emotional needs are taken into account in the adjustment of their existing landscape design, and the impact of the improved design is evaluated. According to the findings, the landscape lake has the highest degree of aggregation for six psychological behaviors, with a degree of more than 80, and it reaches 93 when walking. Among the 21 subdivided psychological demand elements, only the quality grades of spatial sequence construction, maneuverability, and architectural involvement are other than average and poor, and the remaining 18 of them are all over good, which is a good effect of analyzing the psychological demand of users. © 2023 Wenyong Qin.

Before the advent of deep learning, traditional image recognition used algorithms to find features and then classify images using classical machine learning algorithms. But it is difficult to define features for variable types of images. Instead, Representation learning is a way to allow a system to discover the representations of feature for image processing. deep-learning algorithms attempt to learn multiple levels of representation and play the key role of modern Representation learning. When deep learning neural networks recognize images, the shallow layers usually extract lower-level features, then start with intermediate-level features, and finally the full images. This study uses CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) to classify fireworks images, and the trained modules are used to evaluate the accuracy and suitability. © 2021 IEEE.

IC testing is essential in the semiconductor value chain, and it strengthens process control and effectively reduces packaging cost. The probe card (PC) is one of the key tools for IC testing. After a certain period of usage, the PC requires regular maintenance/adjustment. This paper investigates the design / development methods for the automatic probe card adjustment (PCA) machine, including the system architecture design, high precision automation algorithm, and the system integration to guarantee the final precision accuracy of ±2.5um with the direct touch of the operators' hand. © 2023 IEEE.
