In this paper, we implemented a direct Time of Flight (ToF) method to calculate the distance of a pulsed-LidAR in high background lights on a Red Pitaya platform. In this proposed system, we utilized the Red Pitaya Kit to simulate the generation of LidAR pulses. Another Kit used to capture, process data, and estimate the distance. Signals are acquired, including high-intensity background noise because LidARs are requested to work in worse environments like sunlight, electric light, fog, etc. To overcome this problem, we proposed an Overlapping-edge (OE) technique to be combined with the Leading-edge (LE) method to detect pulses in noisy environments. Moreover, the sampling rate of the AdC in this platform was limited to 125Msps. Therefore, we performed an interpolation algorithm, namely Center of Mass (CoM), to increase the accuracy of the estimated distance. The experiment was performed on simulated signals with a signal-to-noise ratio of-8.5dB. The obtained result showed that the average success rate of measurements increased 7.56% compared with the Leading-edge method and the average accuracy reached nearly 7.1cm. In conclusion, we have built a high noise Pulse-LidAR source and calculate distance on a Red Pitaya platform with a low cost and highly stable accuracy. The performance of a LidAR system was also evaluated in this study. © 2021 ACM.

Abstract: In this study, we investigate blood flow in a small artery with a constriction using gold nanoparticles (Au) in the presence of microorganisms, mass, and heat transfer. The non-Newtonian behavior of blood fluid in slight arteries is quantitatively inspected by simulating blood flow using the Carreau fluid model. Momentum equations incorporating magnetohydrodynamics (MHd) and darcy–Forchheimer porous media are used to model the fluid flow. Heat transfer properties, including thermal radiation, joule dissipation, and bio-convective microorganisms, are investigated. Blood serves as the base fluid for the nanofluid, which contains gold nanoparticles. The system's nonlinear partial differential equations are transformed into nonlinear OdEs through suitable transformations. To obtain numerical solutions for these OdEs, the homotopy analysis method is used. The physical implications of flow restrictions are compared with fictitious fluid flow using physical interpretations. Additionally, investigations into the interpretations of blood flow based on drag force and heat transfer are being conducted. ANOVA, or analysis of variance, is a dependable statistical tool used to evaluate regression models and a variety of statistical tests. These investigations include error assessments, total error evaluations, F-values, p-values, and model fit assessments. These statistical investigations were applied to the dataset at hand, with the goal of achieving a robust 95% level of confidence. We investigate the effects of minute adjustments in parameters on both the heat transfer rate and the friction factor rate using these analyses. The study intends to dive deeper into the potential effects of minor changes in one or more factors on the overall effectiveness of surface friction rate and the larger domain of thermal energy transfer. Glass coating is an important thermal insulation technique used in the aerospace industry that serves as a thermal protection system (TPS) to protect the inner layer at elevated temperatures. This work highlights the superb mechanical and thermal properties of the B2O3-SiO2 glass systems as a surface coating for space shuttle. In the B2O3-SiO2 system, the glass transition temperature raises from 650 °C to 750 °C with increasing SiO2 content and devitrification of the α-cristobalite phase. The Al2O3 addition in B2O3-SiO2 glass can increase the glass transition temperature from 750 °C to 1000 °C and inhibit the α-cristobalite phase. The phase transition from an unstable α-cristobalite phase to an amorphous phase was achieved at 10 wt% Al2O3-added specimens. This study demonstrates that the Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2 glass (ABS glass) exhibits thermally stable behavior, making it an effective thermal barrier coating at elevated temperatures. © 2023

The air quality in Taiwan is significantly impacted by ambient ozone (O3) pollution, which poses a challenge in terms of control due to the involvement of precursors and influencing factors in its photochemical process. This review investigates the measures that have been implemented in Taiwan over the past two decades to address this issue and evaluate their effectiveness in reducing O3 concentrations. Furthermore, it highlights relevant studies that have employed advanced methods to examine the O3 problem. Comprehending the complex formation of O3 and its driving factors is crucial in efficiently managing O3 pollution. Nevertheless, accurately quantifying the impacts of these factors can be challenging due to their interconnections. To bridge this gap in knowledge, conducting a robust causality analysis becomes imperative to accurately quantify the causal influence of major factors. Furthermore, eliminating seasonal variations can improve the precision and accuracy of trend analyses concerning long-term changes in O3 concentrations. deep learning, in particular, holds significant advantages in predicting O3 concentrations as it can capture non-linear and long-term memory characteristics effectively. In summary, attaining acceptable O3 levels in Taiwan is challenging due to its geographical location, which makes it susceptible to air pollution from both local sources as well as distant upwind areas. The utilization of advanced methods is essential for comprehensively studying the evolution of O3 and formulating effective mitigation measures. While there is a necessity to develop new analytical methods, implementing existing robust methodologies can also provide valuable insights into the dynamics and impacts of O3. By leveraging these approaches, we can enhance our comprehension of O3 pollution in Taiwan and develop effective strategies to mitigate its harmful effects on air quality.

Stress, as a reaction to threatening situations, can raise heart rate and result in serious conditions that might cause significant damage or even be life-threatening. Traditional methods for evaluating stress, which rely on subjective self-reporting and clinical assessments, often suffer from biases and inconsistencies. Artificial intelligence models have been explored to predict stress levels more accurately. This paper investigates the application of Extreme Gradient Boosting in classifying psychological stress using the WESAd dataset, which includes parameters such as acceleration, electrocardiogram, electromyography, electrodermal activity, temperature, and respiration. The dataset was balanced and sampled to create a manageable subset for experimental. Extreme Gradient Boosting was chosen for its efficiency and scalability in handling complex datasets. The model was trained and validated, achieving a 95% accuracy in predicting stress levels. This study highlights the potential of integrating Extreme Gradient Boosting models into wearable devices for real-time stress monitoring. Future work involves optimizing the model to utilize fewer sensors without decreasing accuracy, ensuring it can be integrated into portable/wearable systems using tiny microcontrollers.

The design and construction of delivering announcements using a web-based SMS gateway aims to help overcome problems that often occur at pioneer airports; this is because when passengers want to travel, many passengers still arrive late to check-in, even though the passenger ticket has a notification for checking. -in 1 hour before departure. If a flight's departure is delayed or accelerated, passengers will only receive this information when they arrive at the airport, whereas if at the time the departure notification is delayed or accelerated, the passenger is still outside the airport or still on their way to the airport, as a result, they will definitely not receive the information. Testing voice announcements on parking, arrival, departure, delay, check-in, and waiting room services, as well as testing SMS broadcasts (30 user numbers and one airline), shows that the announcement application provides information through voice data recording and broadcasts SMS to passengers and families. Testing was carried out at Indonesian Pioner airport for 30 passengers for a week. The percentage of Ease of obtaining test voice information was 81.98%, and the percentage of Ease of obtaining broadcast SMS information was 83.1%. Implementing the announcement is feasible at pioneer airports with a percentage of 82.54%.

The rapid fabrication is described of binary electrocatalyst based on a highly porous metal–organic framework with zirconium metal core (Zr-MOF) decorated over the graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) nanosheets via facile ultrasonication method. It is used for the robust determination of antipsychotic drug chlorpromazine (CLP) from environmental samples. The electrochemical behaviour of 2d Zr-MOF@g-C3N4 was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) studies. The crystalline and porous nature of the composite was characterized by XRd and SEM analysis. The functional groups and surface characteristics were investigated by FT-IR, Raman and XPS. The major electrochemical properties of the Zr-MOF@g-C3N4 composite towards CLP detection were analyzed by CV, chronocoulometric (CC), chronoamperometric (CA) and differential pulse voltammetry (dPV) techniques. The composite exhibits a low detection limit (LOd) of 2.45 nM with a linear range of 0.02 to 2.99 µM and attractive sensitivity for CLP. The sensor system shows higher selectivity towards the possible interferences of CLP drug and exhibits better repeatability and stability. Finally, the fabricated sensor system shows a high recovery range varying from 96.2 to 98.9% towards the real samples. The proposed electrochemical probe might be a promising alternative to the prevailing diagnostic tools for the detection of CLP. In summary Voice recognition and large language models have changed communication. The study presents SECIM, a new paradigm for two-way human-computer communication that feels natural and makes sense in their existing environment. SECIM has a voice synthesis network, dynamic language learning tool, and several attention levels. Comparing the model against six well-known conventional methodologies provided a complete evaluation. Statistics show the model performed better and more efficiently in all areas. In this age of rapid technical growth, speech recognition and big language models have revolutionized human communication. This confluence of cutting-edge technology has allowed many new applications, changing how people and machines connect. The results show that the SECIM might improve NLP, voice recognition, and direct communication in real-world contexts.

Resistive random-access memory (RRAM) is one of the most promising candidates for next-generation nanoscale nonvolatile memory devices and neuromorphic computing applications. In this study, we developed a novel mixed-dimensional design for RRAM devices, incorporating zero-dimensional quantum dots (Qds), two-dimensional MoS2, and a TiO2 switching layer to achieve prominent interfacial switching behaviors. Compared with typical filamentary RRAM devices, the proposed heterostructure featured a light-sensitive Qds/MoS2 layer that allowed for bias-controllable resistive changes during the set and reset processes without abrupt switching. This was endowed by effective electron-hole pair separations upon excitation and the generation of a thin molybdenum oxide (MoOx) layer due to the accumulation of oxygen ions at the interface between MoS2 and TiO2. The ITO/Qds/MoS2/TiO2/Pt RRAM device exhibited an on/off ratio of 10 with improved endurance under 515 nm laser illumination and wavelength-dependent resistive switching behavior, making it useful for multilevel storage. Furthermore, the heterostructured device demonstrated synaptic characteristics with enhanced potentiation and depression nonlinearities and asymmetry factors, revealing its potential for future neuromorphic applications. © 2024 American Chemical Society.

This research aims to create a smart residential system that will improve parking management in residential areas using mini-server technology. Another aim is to provide a safe and effective smart parking solution for residential areas with limited capacity. This research method uses mini-server technology and control to create smart system ideas. Apart from that, this research also uses servo motor technology, proximity sensors, cameras, and IoT applications for smart parking management. The result is the creation of intelligent residential parking management, which uses a Raspberry Pi 5 Model B as a server and control to improve the parking management system in residential areas, and the use of number plate recognition technology to be applied to Smart City. This further research offers a new perspective on creating intelligent parking solutions using two input validation parameters simultaneously, namely facial and license plate recognition
