With the development of IC nano-meter technologies advancing toward higher operating frequencies and the trend of integrated various wireless communication systems for smart autonomous car, the self-driving system with highly integrated high-speed digital circuits and multi-radio modules are now facing the challenge from performance degradation by even more complicated platform EMI noisy environment. Thus the radiated EMC problem has become a crucial issue for IC adoption by automobile industry. Since TEM Cell could be used for EMI test (IEC 61967-2[1]) and EMS test (IEC 62132-2[2]) on chip or module level, we therefore design and investigate the structure of TEM cell and its characteristics for IC EMC test in this study. Finally, we will utilize the TEM cell designed in this study to measure the EMI emission generated from flash memory under different operation and working conditions.

The trend of smart vehicle for ever increasing need on safe and comfortable driving environment, the more electronic equipment and electronic control unit (ECU) are implemented on automotive. Since the multi-purpose micro-controllers are widely adopted by automotive industry for advanced functional features, their EMI characteristics is crucial for safety issue because of possibly degraded communication signal due to EMI noise. There are also increasing RFI problem resulting from high-speed digital devices interfering wireless communication module on board. We therefore will investigate the EMI and RFI phenomena of micro-controller under different clock frequencies and operating voltages in this study. We will utilize the chip level EMI measurement methods IEC 61967-2[1] and IEC 61967-3[2] with self-designed high-sensitivity near-field probe. With the measured results and related EMI data analyzed, we can establish the EMI list of micro-controller and provide design reference for automotive electronics meeting EMI compliance requirement.

Improving the Concentration of Students With Attention deficit Hyperactivity disorder and Autism Spectrum disorder: Electroencephalographic Analysis on the Effect of Learning Activity Interventions

This study examined whether the learning concentration of students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (AdHd) or autism spectrum disorder (ASd) can be improved through participation in one-on-one learning activities. A total of 13 students with AdHd or ASd were recruited to participate in various weekly one-on-one learning activities, in an effort to improve the concentration of students with special needs. Brainwave data were collected through electroencephalography and analyzed to explore students' concentration performance in different learning activities. To achieve the objective of this study, a multi-baseline design (ABAB), a type of single-subject design method, was employed. The experiment spanned 21 weeks, covering a fall and a spring semester: the first three weeks were defined as the 1st baseline phase, the 4th to 10th weeks as the 1st experimental phase, the 11th to 13th weeks as the 2nd baseline phase, and the 14th to 21th weeks as the 2nd experimental phase. The learning activities took place in the morning self-study period once a week, and the experiment was only suspended during two of the weeks because of school events. The purpose of the two baseline phases was to collect students' brainwave data. Students' brainwaves were measured for two minutes under two scenarios; first, while they were relaxed with eyes looking straight ahead; second, they were reading a passage. The purpose of the two experimental phases was to gradually enhance students' concentration by training them to perceive their own emotions through brainwave lamps. Initial results yielded different brainwave data for students with different types of disorders. After participating in the training on learning concentration, some students demonstrated improved concentration; however, after the 2nd experimental phase, students' concentration declined. A new fiber anemometer based on fiber gratings is experimentally demonstrated for simultaneously detecting the wind-speed and -direction. The two gratings separated with 90° are fixed on the stainless steel pipe driven by the rotating disc for measuring the wind direction. The overlapped frequency of the sensing grating wavelength overlapped with that of the matched fiber grating is utilized for monitoring the wind speed. This fiber anemometer with a simple and durable structure can be applied in anemo-electric generators.

The demand for modern multiband and wideband communication systems is *** filter architecture is widely used, and its reorganization and innovation can produce a new wideband filter. In this paper, two low-impedance stepped impedance resonators(SIRs) are strongly coupled to form an equivalent capacitor. This paper also presents a circuit that can become an inductor, a capacitor, and an inductive series resonant wide stopband bandpass filter. The center frequency of the bandpass filter is 2.3 GHz. The wide stopband frequency of the band is as high as 8.05 GHz. The center frequency can be controlled by a low-impedance capacitor when the same SIR is used in a set of architectures. In this paper, the center frequency is controlled by a 4.1 GHz series-resonant wide-stopband bandpass filter that is connected to the lower half of the transmission line. The overall circuit function becomes a wideband bandpass filter. This wideband circuit can filter up and down for a 3-dB cutoff frequency ranging from 1.9 to 4.5 GHz. The filter bandwidth is 2.6 GHz. The center frequency is 3.2 GHz.

The purpose of this paper is to design a direct downconversion system using sub-harmonic mixer with microstrip lines, it is also called a zero intermediate frequency system. By utilizing the direct conversion configuration, it can not only avoid to use an additional voltage controlled oscillator and phaselocked loop which resulted from twice down conversions so as to simplify the configuration and reduce cost, but also suppress the mirror image frequency, and thus to diminish non-linear conversion distortion and to increase the receive dynamic *** LO-RF and LO-IF isolations of sub-harmonic mixer with microstrip lines are greater than 60 dB, and the conversion loss is about 14 dB;the phase noise of VCO with spiral-shaped defected ground structure(dGS) is-96 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz. We have succeeded to develop a direct down-conversion system.
