Wetlands are essential ecosystems that provide critical environmental services,including nutrient retention,water purification,biodiversity conservation,and climate ***,anthropogenic activities such as urban expan-sion,agricultural runoff,and industrial pollution have severely degraded these ecosystems,necessitating targeted restoration *** study assesses the effectiveness of restoration interventions in the Shibalianwei Wetland,a key component of the Chaohu Lake basin,by analyzing land use changes,biomass recovery,and water quality *** strategies included veg-etation re-establishment,hydrological modifications,and adaptive seasonal management over multiple *** findings indicate substantial improve-ments in water quality,with Total Nitrogen(TN)and Total phosphorus(TP)concentrations in the wetland outflow reduced by up to 52%and 50%,respec-tively,during peak vegetation *** Oxygen(dO)levels con-sistently remained above 6.2 mg/L,while Chemical Oxygen demand(COd)declined by 38%during the summer *** enhancements were strongly correlated with increased aboveground biomass(AGB),particularly in areas of restored vegetation,which peaked at 10,211 tons in ***,subsequent declines in vegetation cover emphasized the challenges in sustaining long-term ecological gains due to seasonal variability and external *** study highlights the importance of integrated ecological restoration strategies and positions the Shibalianwei Wetland as a significant buffer against eutrophica-tion,contributing to the overall water quality improvement of Chaohu *** results offer a scalable framework for restoring degraded wetland ecosys-tems and underscore the necessity for long-term monitoring,adaptive man-agement strategies,and policy interventions to ensure sustainable restoration *** integrating land use,biomass recovery,and water quality assess-ments,this research provides valuable insig

This research aims to create a virtual reality-based practice system that simulates real-stage performance environments, assisting amateur dancers in overcoming stage fright and practicing group choreography that is difficult to achieve during individual practice. In this study, users can engage in performance simulations within the created system using the HTC VIVE virtual reality device. Within the system, we have developed a virtual stage space system that only requires a 2m x 3.5m physical area to simulate a large virtual stage experience. Users can also simulate choreographic positioning with virtual dance partners within this system, providing amateur dancers with group dance rehearsal practice opportunities that are not feasible during solo practice. Additionally, by creating three different audience modes, we aim to help users simulate various audience scenarios they may encounter during a performance. The system includes a recording feature that captures users' simulated performances, allowing them to review their actions and receive feedback after practice. © 2024 IEEE.

The garment industry in Vietnam is one of the country’s strongest industries in the ***,the production process still encounters problems regarding scheduling that does not equate to an optimal *** paper introduces a production scheduling solution that resolves the potential delays and lateness that hinders the production process using integer programming and order allocation with a make-to-order manufacturing viewpoint.A number of constraints were considered in the model and is applied to a real case study of a factory in order to viewhowthe tardiness and latenesswould be affected which resulted in optimizing the scheduling time ***,the constraints considered were order assignments,production time,and tardiness with an objective function which is to minimize the total cost of *** results of the study precisely the overall cost of delay of the orders given to the plant and successfully propose a suitable production schedule that utilizes the most of the plant *** study has shown promising results that would assist plant and production managers in determining an algorithm that they can apply for their production process.

Optimizing γ-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) Production via Fermentation of Morinda citrifolia L.

Noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia L.) is a tropical and subtropical plant grown on Pacific islands traditionally used as folk medicine to treat a wide range of bioactive compounds, including fatty acids, anthraquinones, flavonoids, polysaccharides, carotenoids and sterols. Noni juice can enhance immune-nerve interaction, while inhibiting age-related diseases. γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA), can be produced in large quantities by lactic acid bacteria, is an inhibitory nerve conductive substances. It can help relieve depression, insomnia, metabolic syndrome and other problems. In this study, lactic acid bacteria strains with the ability to produce GABA were screened from noni fruit. The lactic acid bacteria screened were used to ferment to improve the GABA functional components. Improve the efficacy of fermentation broth. And establish optimal fermentation parameters. Fermentation parameters have a great influence on the fermentation process and the amount of product produced. It is extremely important to understand the optimal culture conditions for the selected lactic acid bacteria. The optimal fermentation temperature (25,30,35 and 40oQ, the number of inoculated bacteria (6,7 and 8 Log CFUI mL), fermentation time (0 to 96 hours) and the amount of added Monosodium glutamate (MSG) (400, 500, 600 and 700 Mm), screen out the conditions that can produce high amounts of GABA. To establish optimal fermentation parameters, lactic acid bacteria and GABA help maintain human gastrointestinal function, resist free radicals, relieve sleep, relieve emotions and regulate blood sugar, in order to develop noni functional supplements. © 2024 Chinese Agricultural Chemical Society. This paper presents a comprehensive review on the current state of digital simulation technology and its strategic application usages with a key focus on advanced compression garments. Although three-dimensional(3d) digital garment simulators have significantly impacted the apparel and textile industry, their use has been limited to visual prototyping, quality checking, or marketing. The physical properties of garment simulators have been overlooked in advanced functional manufacturing. This literature review investigates the possibility of strategically utilizing virtual physical properties to enhance garment functions, specifically in wearables and medical-grade compression fields. The first phase of this paper gives an overview of the current state of 3d garment simulation tools and their measurement features. This is followed by a gap analysis between simulated and physical property evaluations, focusing on minimizing the gaps. The literature is thoroughly examined to identify appropriate studies that uses digital tools for compressional garments and add value to wearables and healthcare applications. This paper provides valuable insights for apparel and textile engineers, enabling them to better understand the limitations and capabilities of garment simulators in improving advanced features for specific end users.

Human health/socioeconomic development is closely correlated to environmental pollution, highlighting the need to monitor contaminants in the real environment with reliable devices such as biosensors. Recently, variety of biosensors gained high attention and employed as application, in real-time, and cost-effective analytical tools for healthy environment. For continuous environmental monitoring, it is necessary for portable, cost-effective, quick, and flexible biosensing devices. These benefits of the biosensor strategy are related to the Sustainable development Goals (SdGs) established by the United Nations (UN), especially with reference to clean water and sources of energy. However, the relationship between SdGs and biosensor application for environmental monitoring is not well understood. In addition, some limitations and challenges might hinder the biosensor application on environmental monitoring. Herein, we reviewed the different types of biosensors, principle and applications, and their correlation with SdG 6, 12, 13, 14, and 15 as a reference for related authorities and administrators to consider. In this review, biosensors for different pollutants such as heavy metals and organics were documented. The present study highlights the application of biosensor for achieving SdGs. Current advantages and future research aspects are summarized in this paper. The kitchen waste compost treatment of diesel contaminated soil has the advantages of good bioremediation effect and low treatment cost. However, through understanding the mechanism of microbial degradation of diesel, the disadvantage of biological treatment time in the composting process is too time-consuming. The research results showed that the evolution of microbial communities was affected by physicochemical parameters in the composting process. during the heating period, it was found that Lactobacillus sakei and Escherichia coli were acid producing bacteria. Pseudomonas putida GB-1 is a terpenoid producing bacterium. Bacillus sp. was found to be aldehyde and sulfide producing bacteria during high temperature composting. Brevibacillus borstenensis and Low G + C Gram positive bacteria are ammonia producing bacteria. The microbial degradation mechanism could be deduced according to the VOCs change in compost gas, and the strategies to promote the efficiency of biological treatment in the composting process were provided for reference. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd

By composting kitchen waste, deisel-contaminated soil was treated and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions were assessed. Composting kitchen waste reduces contamination volume due to gas emissions. An aerobic treatment period of 12 days was conducted for the measurements of VOC emissions from different phases, such as gaseous, solid, and leachate, were conducted throughout the experiment. The results show that VOC concentrations were high during the mesophilic phase and reduced with increasing temperature during the composting period. It has been observed that at least 314 VOCs have been detected during the mesophilic, thermophilic, and cooling phases. Compost odor was mainly caused by NH3, methanethiol, carbon disulfide, dimethyl sulfide, and dimethyl disulfide, and most of these compounds appeared in thermophilic phase. Furthurmore, emissions of VOCs from composting kitchen waste reduces total diesel concentration in the soil to achieve a green and clean environment. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd
