Let Γ be a finite graph and let A(Γ) be the corresponding right-angled Artin group. We characterize the Hamiltonicity of Γ via the structure of the cohomology algebra of A(Γ). Prediction of Inflation Rate in Indonesia Using Local Polynomial Estimator for Time Series Data

Inflation prediction is needed to determine strategies and policies to control a country's economic stability. Inflation is one of the important macroeconomic indicators. Fluctuating inflation rates can disrupt a country's economy, so this is a particular concern. In this paper, inflation prediction was carried out through two approaches: the parametric regression model approach based on the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model and the nonparametric regression approach based on the local polynomial estimator. The model's accuracy is determined based on prediction results using the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE)value. We obtained a MAPE value of 9.0% for the ARIMA model approach and MAPE values of 4.0% and 1.778% for first and second orders, respectively, of local polynomial nonparametric regression model approach. It means that the best model for predicting Indonesia's inflation rate is the second order of local polynomial nonparametric regression model because it has the smallest MAPE value.

The Liouville map assigns to each point in the Teichmüller space a positive Radon measure on the space of geodesics of the universal covering of the base Riemann surface. This construction which was introduced by Bonahon is valid for both finite and infinite Riemann surfaces. Bonahon and Sözen proved that the Liouville map is differentiable for closed Riemann surfaces and the second author extended this result to all other Riemann surfaces. Otal proved that the Liouville map is real analytic using an idea from the geometric analysis. The purpose of this note is to give another proof of Otal’s result using a complex analysis approach. In this paper, we consider the one-dimensional porous elastic system with mixed dissipation term at the point x= 0 acting only on the volumetric fraction of the system. We prove that the operator A associated with the problem is an infinitesimal generator of a C–semigroup of contractions and we prove the exponential stability if an important restriction is imposed on the constitutive coefficients. © 2020, Università degli Studi di Ferrara.

Nickel-based compounds are widely applied as the active material for energy storage devices, owing to high theoretical capacity and easy-fabricated process. Bimetallic compounds having multiple redox states can provide abundant redox reactions for charge storage. Structure directing agent (SDA) can promote the preferable growth of active materials and to enhance energy storage abilities. In this work, NH4BF4 and NH4HF2 are firstly used as SDA to synthesize nickel-based compounds along with 2-methylmidozole in the one-step solution process for energy storage applications. The bimetallic compounds are synthesized by incorporating Al, Mn, Co, Cu and Zn salts in the precursor solution including the Ni salt. The system with Al, Cu or Zn possesses single metal compound and barely nickel compound. Mn and Co-incorporated systems present clear bimetallic components with nickel hydroxide. The highest specific capacitance (CF) of 1336.3 F/g (297.0 mAh/g) are achieved at 20 mV/s for the NiCo-based electrode, owing to the bimetallic feature and favorable two-dimensional sheet-like structures. An energy storage device is assembled using the NiCo-based compound and reduced graphene oxide electrodes. The maximum energy density of 10.5 Wh/kg at 0.3 kW/kg, and the CF retention of 78.5% and Coulombic efficiency of 85.2% are achieved after 10,000 times charge/discharge cycles. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd

Zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-67) with high surface area and tunable pore size are considered as a promising active material for energy storage, but the low electrical conductivity restricts its performance. Developing ZIF67 derivatives with improved electrical conductivity is necessary to broaden its application in electrochemical fields. In this work, two strategies are applied to improve electrical conductivity and electrochemical performance of ZIF67. Novel structure directing agents of NH4BF4 and NH4HF2 are used to synthesize ZIF67 derivatives with higher theoretical capacitances and favorable layered structures. Self-assembled MXene with different amounts is further incorporated in ZIF67 derivatives to establish composites. The optimal composite electrode shows a high specific capacitance (CF) of 1410.4 F/g (775.6C/g) at 20 mV/s, while the ZIF67 derivative electrode without MXene only shows a CF value of 942.3 F/g (518.3C/g), due to the high surface area and better pore structure as well as the close combination of MXene and the layered ZIF67 derivative for the former case. An energy storage device with the optimal composite and carbon electrodes shows the maximum energy density of 32.40 Wh/kg at 375 W/kg. The Coulombic efficiency of 100% and the CF retention of 77.4% are also achieved after 10,000 cycles. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

Iron oxide (Fe2O3) with a high theoretical capacitance, wide potential ranges and easy availability has attracted much attentions as the electrode material of battery supercapacitor hybrids (BSH). Metal–organic framework (MOF) is one of the promising potential energy storage materials due to its large surface area and controllable pore structures. In this work, novel iron oxide/iron organic framework composites (Fe2O3/FeMOF) are in-situ grown on the Ni foam as efficient energy storage electrodes of BSH. By tuning the solvothermal durations, the morphology changes from random sizes of sheets, regular grown vertical sheets, to flower-like structures. The d-spacing also increases for the Fe2O3/FeMOF synthesized using longer solvothermal durations. The optimal Fe2O3/FeMOF electrode synthesized using 9 h shows a high areal capacitance of 10.97 F/cm2 along with an areal capacity of 5.49 F/cm2 at the current density of 35 mA/cm2, owing to the most regular growth of sheets, the large d-spacing, and the smallest charge-transfer resistances. A BSH composed of the Fe2O3/FeMOF positive electrode and a graphene negative electrode shows a maximum energy density of 0.76 mWh/cm2 at 22.5 mW/cm2. The excellent long-term cycling stability with the capacitance retention of 85% and Coulombic efficiency of 98% are also achieved after 10,000 charge/discharge cycles. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

We characterize k–colorability of a simplicial graph via the intrinsic algebraic structure of the associated right-angled Artin group. A Riemann surface X is said to be of parabolic type if it does not support a Green’s function. Equivalently, the geodesic flow on the unit tangent bundle of X (equipped with the hyperbolic metric) is ergodic. Given a Riemann surface X of arbitrary topological type and a hyperbolic pants decomposition of X we obtain sufficient conditions for parabolicity of X in terms of the Fenchel-Nielsen parameters of the decomposition. In particular, we initiate the study of the effect of twist parameters on parabolicity. A key ingredient in our work is the notion of nonstandard half-collar about a hyperbolic geodesic. We show that the modulus of such a half-collar is much larger than the modulus of a standard half-collar as the hyperbolic length of the core geodesic tends to infinity. Moreover, the modulus of the annulus obtained by gluing two nonstandard half-collars depends on the twist parameter, unlike in the case of standard collars. Our results are sharp in many cases. For instance, for zero-twist flute surfaces as well as for half-twist flute surfaces with concave sequences of lengths our results provide a complete characterization of parabolicity in terms of the length parameters. It follows that parabolicity is equivalent to completeness in these cases. Introduction/Justification For more than a century, a variety of ordinary differential equation growth models have been used to describe and predict the proliferation of human malignancies. Indeed, in the field of mathematical oncology, the growth of cell populations over time is typically represented by sigmoidal functions, such as logistic or Gompertz curves and their generalizations. These models are particularly focused on understanding and predicting the proliferation of cancer cells, including those from human glioblastomas, which can be very aggressive brain tumors with a survival rate of less than two years. Objectives This research examines in vitro cell cultures of five lines of human glioblastoma using curve fitting and numerical parameter estimation of real datasets to separately describe the growth profile of all these cell populations lineages over time. Materials and Methods Cell culture experiments were performed in the Advanced Therapeutics Laboratory at FCF-UNICAMP. These included a well-established human glioblastoma cell line (NG97) and four other glioblastoma cell lines derived from clinical patients designated N07, C03, L09 and J01. Twelve repeated time series of experiments were collected for each cell line. Cell counting was performed daily on days 1 to 6. The drda R package was used for curve fitting of the measured data aiming to determine the intrinsic growth rate and other parameters for each of the five cell lines. The 5-parameter generalized logistic curve was used, and all the resulting models were analyzed under statistical criteria such as the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC). Results Curve fitting analysis revealed significant diversity in the population growth of different cell lines. The drda R package proved to be highly effective in capturing these different behaviors and the unique sigmoidal shapes associated with them.
