Fixed-wing aerial vehicles are equipped with functional-ities such as ILS (instrument landing system), PAR (precision approach radar) and, DGPS (differential global positioning system), enabling fully automated landings. How-ever, these systems impose significant costs on airport op-erations due to high installation and maintenance requirements. Moreover, since these navigation parameters come from ground or satellite signals, they are vulnerable to in-terference. A more cost-effective and independent alternative for guiding landing is a vision-based system that de-tects the runway and aligns the aircraft, reducing the pi-lot's cognitive load. This paper proposes a novel frame-work that addresses three key challenges in developing au-tonomous vision-based landing systems. Firstly, to over-come the lack of aerial front-view video data, we created high-quality videos simulating landing approaches through the generator code available in the LARD (landing approach runway detection dataset) repository. Secondly, in contrast to former studies focusing on object detection for finding the runway, we chose the state-of-the-art model Lo-RAT to track runways within bounding boxes in each video frame. Thirdly, to align the aircraft with the designated landing runway, we extract runway keypoints from the re-sulting LoRAT frames and estimate the camera relative pose via the Perspective-n-Point algorithm. Our experimental re-sults over a dataset of generated videos and original images from the LARD dataset consistently demonstrate the proposed framework's highly accurate tracking and alignment capabilities. In Indonesia, the majority of blindness cases, approximately 81%, are attributed to cataract. Additionally, 35% of the population has higher cholesterol levels than the standard normal range. The lack of specialized medical equipment, such as the slit-lamp (Ruparelia in Dalhousie Med J 49(1), [1]) bio-microscope, and trained professionals, especially in rural areas, make it difficult to detect these conditions through eye examinations. To address this issue, a supervised machine learning method, the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), has been utilized to create an iris scanner system that can identify cataract and high cholesterol in a patient. This system will classify eyes into three categories, i.e., cataract, high cholesterol, and normal iris. The computer simulations indicate that this technique is more accurate and requires less training time compared to the existing Convolutional Neural Network (ANN) and Siamese Neural Network (SNN)-based method, while achieving 100% accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The substantial memory window (MW) of 1.8 V is achieved by utilizing stacked two nanosheet (NS) gate-all-around (GAA) Ge0.95 Si0.05 ferroelectric field-effect transistors (FeFETs), employing a low write voltage of 2 V. The channel phosphorus concentration 1E18 cm-3 is used to erase the absence of interfacial layer (IL) can reduce the operation voltage. An isotropic wet etching process is employed for channel release. The stacked two NSs offer the advantages of reducing cell-to-cell variation and doubling the read current. Additionally, the stability of data storage is demonstrated with the data retention of >1E4 s, linearly extrapolated to a span of 10 years, and exhibiting high endurance >1E11 cycles. The thermal budget is as low as 400 °C. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Compared to the traditional resonant DC-DC Converter, the Enhanced Fault-Tolerant DC-DC converter has many advantages, such as high efficiency, low current ripple and high voltage gain. In order to improve the power density of the enhanced fault-tolerant DC-DC converter since it uses many passive components for power conversion, a passive integrated unit with the flexible multi-layer foil (FMLF) integration technique is proposed in this paper which integrates two series resonant inductors, two series resonant capacitors, two parallel resonant inductors, two transformers and four filter capacitors into an E-E core geometry. Furthermore, the construction, flux analysis and parameter design of the proposed integrated unit are introduced in detail. Finally, a simulation model based on Maxwell/Ansoft to prove the feasibility of this idea. © 2023 IEEE.

Compared with multi-resonant converters, the bidirectional multi-resonant converter has the advantages of high transmission efficiency, high voltage ratio, wide voltage input and output range and bidirectional flow of energy. To improve the power density, a passive integrated unit with the flexible multilayer foil (FMLF) integration technology is proposed in this paper. The composition principle, flux analysis and parameter design are introduced in detail. Finally, a simulation model based on Maxwelll/Ansoft is built for a 1KW-450kHz bidirectional multi-resonant converter to prove the feasibility of this idea. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents the design and the development of multi-string I-V curve tracer for photovoltaic (PV) strings. It uses a capacitive load and double pole relay to measure the I-V characteristics of a multiple PV strings simultaneously. The prototype is developed using a PIC18F4550 micro-controller and a graphical user interface GUI designed using Microsoft's Visual Studio software. The I-V characteristics of the PV string are displayed on LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and computer. The performance and functionality of the proposed I-V curve tracer have been tested using four PV strings. The experimental test shows that the proposed I-V tracer can measure and display the I-V characteristic of each PV string smoothly in the normal and shading conditions. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. This paper proposes a performance analysis of using a static volt-amp-reactive (VAR) compensator for a three-phase self-excited induction generator (SEIG) operating as a single-phase induction generator. The study proposes appropriate capacitor for building up voltage supplying power to load with static VAR for regulating terminal voltage. The simulation model is analyzed by using MATLAB/Simulink under various conditions such as reactive power supplied, dynamic response, steady state, building up voltage for startup, linear load, non-linear load and harmonics in system. From the study (based on the study, the findings revealed it is found) that using the static VAR compensator connected in parallel with loads for supplying reactive power to the load systems is needed for maintaining terminal voltage. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper describes the design and implementation of the Ludo game on Microsoft Hololens to create a mixed reality-based application with Hololens technology connected to many services. The Ludo game is made for two players, with player one playing on Hololens and player two sending and receiving player one's data via the console. The Ludo game with Hololens is one of the results of the development of Hololens technology and the RabbitMQ Messaging Server. The Ludo game is made on Visual Studio software using UrhoSharp Framework and RabbitMQ Messaging Server service with the AMQP protocol. As application frameworks, Hololens and UrhoSharp function as devices for visualization and running games. At the same time, the RabbitMQ Messaging Server and AMQP protocol serve as services that connect two players from the Hololens and console by sending the data needed by the application. The test results show that Hololens is running successfully and communicating with other console players. Thus, the results obtained are the purpose of this paper, which is to create a mixed reality-based application with Hololens technology connected to many services. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, we aimed to develop LED lighting with an emission spectrum effective for microalgae propagation, and fabricated LED lighting with Phosphor layer RGB, which has peaks in the red, green, and blue wavelength bands, and Phosphor layer RG'B', which has broader peaks in the red, green, and blue wavelength bands. In order to examine the effect of microalgae propagation, Closterium ehrenbergii samples prepared at different dilution rates were irradiated with LED illumination light of Phosphor layer RG'B' and Phosphor layer RGB, respectively, for 7 days, and their propagation rates were compared. The results of the experiment showed that Phosphor layer RG'B' produced a higher propagation rate than Phosphor layer RGB. © 2024 IEEE.
