The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the unprecedented devastating catastrophes with severe public health threat globally. Low and middle income countries (LMICs) are trying hard to cope with the rapidly changing global scenario and trying to mitigate this double crisis of pandemic and economic recession. This pandemic, has led to major changes in global and regional health care delivery proceedings with surge in telemedicine to provide the required services and also giving priority to control the disease spread. © 2021

Electronic medical records (EMR) have been implemented in developed countries since 1972 when the first computer-stored medical record at Wishard Memorial Hospital was designed. However, less seem to be known about EMRs in an African context. The purpose of this paper is therefore to review studies on EMRs implemented in sub-Saharan Africa and to identify benefits and challenges met. Articles available in PubMed, PMC, Scopus, JAMIA and Google were searched through JIBS online library using the search string "EMR systems in Sub-Saharan Africa". In most the papers, EMRs have been implemented in HIV/AIDS settings allowing better monitoring of patients under antiretroviral therapy (ART). EMR systems have also succeeded to increase the number of patients under ART. Moreover, EMRs have improved work processes as they have reduced patients waiting time and enhanced monitoring of medical appointments. However, EMRs have suffered lack of electricity, poor Internet connectivity and computer illiteracy. Today, HIV/AIDS care providers have benefited on the implementation of EMRs and there is a possibility to extend the implementation to other healthcare departments.

Background and Objective: Mobile applications could be effectively used for dietary intake assessment, physical activity monitoring, behavior improvement, and nutrition education. The aim of this review is to determine the effectiveness of mobile applications in improving nutrition behaviors through a systematic review of literature. Methods: The review protocol was registered with PROSPERO: registration number CRD42018118809, and followed PRISMA guidelines. We involved original articles including mobile electronic devices for improving dietary intake, physical activity, and weight management in adult populations in this review. Data were retrieved from January 2010 to December 2018 with PubMed, Web of Science, Excerpta Medica Database (Embase), and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) as data sources. Authors individually screened the titles and abstracts, then full articles in order to obtain papers that met inclusion criteria. Results: The database search yielded 2962 records. After removing the duplicates and analyzing the full text papers a total of 8 original articles were reviewed. Two articles showed obvious bias and were not included in our results or discussion. The remaining six articles with low to moderate bias risk were included in this systematic review. Three selected studies were randomized control trials (RCTs) with over 180 participants each. The other three studies were a nested trial, a case-control trial, and a pilot RCT with 36, 162, and 24 participants respectively. All larger RCTs and the small case control trail showed significant improvements in some nutritional-health objectives measured. The other two trials showed insignificant improvements in outcomes measured between groups. Conclusion: This study highlights the potential significant health benefits acquirable through mobile health application-assisted nutrition interventions. The use of counterfeit products causes considerable financial damage to the states and companies. Product labeling and tracking in a blockchain-enabled system can overcome this problem. One- and two-dimensional barcodes are accessible and have cheap labeling technologies, but it can be challenging to read the labels on products with curved shapes. This paper presents the plastic pipe labeling problem and its solution with two-dimensional barcodes, integrated with a blockchain-enabled supply chain. The labeling technique choice is based on QR and Aztec barcodes readability empirical study for different barcode parameters, reading software libraries for flat and curved surfaces.

IT industry has made a significant contribution to the Indian economy both in terms of GDP and employment and thus it makes it important to study the factors influencing the performance of IT employees. The Purpose of this study is to investigate the nature and extent of the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Job performance with respect to the gender of the respondents. The results of this study show significant gender differences in Emotional Intelligence and Job performance, suggesting that female employees score more on EI than their male counterparts. This study also reveals that females are better performers than men.

His teaching and research interests include applied probability business process re-engineering competitive strategy decision analysis entrepreneurship industry analysis and corporate strategy information technology for competitive advantage logistics and supply chain management operations management operations strategy quantitative methods in management and simulation. He has held several short-term visiting positions in many European Universities. She has a PhD in industrial engineering and operations research from IIT Bombay. Epilepsy is defined as a syndrome characterized by brain function momentarily and paroxysm manifested in the interruption or loss of consciousness, motor, sensory, psychology, autonomic motion, as well as the episodic. Major resistances should be faced are lack of the needed specialized physicians and expenditure to deal with the epilepsy treatment. This research is aimed at the development of a software to detect the epilepsy syndrome resorting to the recorded signals from 19 channels, namely the frontal pole 1, frontal pole 2, frontal 7, frontal 3, frontal z, frontal 4, frontal 8, central 3, central z, temporal 3, temporal 4, temporal 5, temporal 6, parietal 3, parietal 4, parietal z, occipital 1, occipital 2, out of which the means, variances, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis, minimum, maximum, correlations, and total energies are listed to crop the specifically chosen 9 characteristics. The success of differentiating the epilepsy from the non epilepsy signal forms is done by employing the LSE followed by the PCA procedures. The classification methods are carried out specifically through the Back propagation Neural Network (BPNN) relying on its high precision, where the input vectors from the associated training processes are used as the associated weight vectors. Based on the final overall result, the records show that the PCA shows that the accuracy in the detection of epilepsies reaches 91.40 %,. The highest is 98.45% with the lowest accuracy is 80%. While without PCA the accuracy of the BPNN to detect epilepsy reaches 81.424%. The highest accuracy is 88.45% and the lowest accuracy is 70%.

Karbala is distinguished by its rich architectural heritage. Deterioration of historic buildings can affect the city itself as well as the country as general. This research highlights the issue that Al-Ukhaidhir palace, located in Karbala city, is facing. There is no attention from local population, neither experts to protect the architectural heritage values of Al-Ukhaidhir palace. Therefore, there is a dire need for an action to protect the historical palace, aiming to save it for next generations and to increase tourism not just in the city, but for the country in general. After the introduction of the background problem, this study presents a literature review on Al-Ukhaidhir Palace, highlighting their significant heritage values and then summarizing the issues that are presently putting Al-Ukhaidhir Palace into danger. The methodology of this research is based in a case study, which follows a Qualitative method. This study contributes in identification of the significant values of the palace, proposing a theory on the protection of Islamic Architecture Heritage, from the issues that Al-Ukhaidhir Palace in Karbala City is facing and highlights the important role of experts and local population in the preservation process of heritage sites with its recommendations. It helps on the protection and documentation of heritage values in Al-Ukhaidhir Palace, having a global impact towards humanity issues.

Intracranial hemorrhage refers to bleeding that occurs within the skull. Several factors have been attributed to the mortality of posterior fossa hemorrhage, including clinical presentations such as Glascow coma scale, obstructive hydrocephalus, imaging features such as hematoma size, intraventricular hemorrhage, brain stem compression, and combined factor such as ICH score. First, this study attempts to identify the most influential factor combinations to explore mortality of posterior fossa hemorrhage. We will adopt appropriate algorithms to cluster the data so that the patient data with similar features are appropriately clustered. And we will build a corresponding prediction model for each cluster data to construct a multiple prediction classifier.
