Overexpression of tyrosine phosphorylated proteins in reproductive tissues of polycystic ovary syndrome rats induced by letrozole

Objective:To identify the alteration of tyrosine phosphorylated protein expression in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods:Sixteen female Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the control and letrozole-induced PCOS *** oestrus cycle of rats was performed by vaginal *** hormones and morphology of the ovary,oviduct,and uterus were *** and intensity of androgen receptor and tyrosine phosphorylated proteins of reproductive organs were investigated by Western ***:Various polycysts and increased androgen receptor expression were present in the ovary of the PCOS *** levels of follicle-stimulating hormone and testosteone were significantly higher in the PCOS group while progesterone and estradiol levels were significantly decreased as compared with the control group(P<0.05).Only the size of uterus in the PCOS group was significantly smaller than the control ***,the density of collagen fibers observed in PCOS uterus was greater than the control ***,tyrosine phosphorylated proteins were significantly overexpressed in ovary(52,42,and 28 kDa),oviduct(72,56,42,and 28 kDa),and uterus(53 and 42 kDa)of the PCOS group compared to the control ***:Presence of tyrosine phosphorylated proteins in the ovary,oviduct and uterus suggests that overexpression of tyrosine phosphorylated proteins may be involved in potential mechanism of female infertility especially in PCOS.

As jamu small-medium enterprises (SMEs) concentrate on establishing online sales and computerized systems, Point of Sales (PoS) becomes a strategic solution to maintain financial stability with its capabilities in recording electronic transactions accurately. As the initial step in technology empowerment for jamu SMEs, the research proposes a concept in facilitating jamu SMEs to adapt in online business. A combination of Connolly and Begg's database design principles and McCarthy's Marketing Mix 4P generates a conceptual design of PoS database targeted specifically for jamu SMEs. The database design manages online purchasing transactions for jamu products by involving not only jamu SMEs and consumers but also a system administrator who manages data verification and extraction.

Cervical cancer is Indonesia's second leading cause of death, following only breast cancer. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), non-communicable disorders will be blamed for 70% of all deaths and illnesses in 2020, while other disease types will account for 60%. Cervical cancer can be detected earlier, lowering the chance of death. This study aims to validate and check the pap smear test results obtained from the previously conducted pap smear screening program. The pap smear questionnaire developed would help in the compilation of a patient's habit history that has undergone a pap smear test during his life based on the factors associated with the occurrence of cervical cancer. Specific details, social-demographic features, diet, genital hygiene activities, reproductive background and behaviors, and health care and cancer prevention behavior are also included in the questionnaire template. The consequence of this design is the completeness of evidence on the theory of anomalies dependent on the findings of pap smear sampling.

We study the variability of vertically stacked gate-all-around silicon nanosheet (GAA Si NS) complementary field-effect transistors (CFETs). The process variation effect (PVE), the work function fluctuation (WKF), and the random dopant fluctuation (RDF) of CFETs are statistically estimated using an experimentally validated device simulation technique. Among five factors of PVE, the channel thickness (T Nch /T Pch ), the channel width (W ch ), and the gate length (L G ) are significant. Owing to superior GAA channel control and increased effective gate area, both WKF and RDF are suppressed. Notably, the PVE on both N-/P-FETs of GAA Si CFET induce the largest off-state current fluctuations of 80% and 278%, respectively, because the device characteristic is very sensitive to the layer thickness and width of channel.

In optoelectronics, achieving electrical reconfigurability is crucial as it enables the encoding, decoding, manipulating, and processing of information carried by light. In recent years, two-dimensional van der Waals (2-D vdW) materials have emerged as promising platforms for realizing reconfigurable optoelectronic devices. Compared to materials with bulk crystalline lattice, 2-D vdW materials offer superior electrical reconfigurability due to high surface-to-volume ratio, quantum confinement, reduced dielectric screening effect, and strong dipole resonances. Additionally, their unique band structures and associated topology and quantum geometry provide novel tuning capabilities. This review article seeks to establish a connection between the fundamental physics underlying reconfigurable optoelectronics in 2-D materials and their burgeoning applications in intelligent optoelectronics. We first survey various electrically reconfigurable properties of 2-D vdW materials and the underlying tuning mechanisms. Then we highlight the emerging applications of such devices, including dynamic intensity, phase and polarization control, and intelligent sensing. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable video analysis instrument to determine teachers’ character in the opening lesson in terms of its utterances and produce video analysis on micro-teaching that will be used in training related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). The type of research used is research and development. The subject of this research is the micro-teaching video of class E students’ batch 2019, Mathematics Education Study program at Sanata Dharma University. The product of this research is a video analysis instrument to find out the character of the prospective teachers, such as confidence, enthusiasm, and happiness in terms of voice utterances. This study uses the ADDIE research model. The results show that the video analysis instrument has a validity value of 4.80 which means it's very valid. Video analysis instrument to find out the enthusiastic character has a value of validity of 4.70, which means it's very valid. Then, the video analysis instrument to find out the character of happiness has a validity value of 4.60 which means it's very valid. The practicality of the developed video analysis instrument meets the required criteria with a practicality value of 4.31. Overall, the video analysis instrument developed belongs to an effective category.

Marine invertebrates are well-established as prolific sources of secondary metabolites, renowned for their remarkable chemical diversity and extensive spectrum of biological activities. Among these, Zoanthus Kuroshio (ZK) has gained significant attention due to its abundant chemical constituents, particularly alkaloids, which exhibit promising bioactivities against osteoporosis. To investigate its therapeutic potential, the extracts of cultured ZK exhibited significant anti-osteoporotic activity in vitro with MG-63 cells, leading to the integration of Global Natural Products Social Molecular Networking (GNPS) to identify fractions containing the highest amounts of alkaloids. Subsequent isolation efforts resulted in the discovery of five novel zoanthamine-type alkaloids: norzoabenzaldehyde (1), norzoazepanol (2), 11-keto-3-acetoxynorzoanthamine (3), 11-hydroxynorzoanthamide B (4), and 11-hydroxyzoanthamide B (5), alongside four previously identified compounds, including norzoanthaminone (6), 3-acetoxynorzoanthamine (7), 3-acetoxyzoanthamine (8), and 3-hydroxynorzoanthamine (9). Structural elucidation of compounds 1, 3, 4, and 5 was achieved using comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, whereas compound 2 required advanced techniques, including time-dependent density functional theory nuclear magnetic resonance (TDDFT-NMR) calculations and comparative analysis of theoretical and experimental electronic circular dichroism (ECD) data, to ascertain its absolute configuration. Bioassays evaluating alkaline phosphatase activity and mineralization demonstrated that compound 9 exhibited significant activity, with an IC50 value of 20 µM. The mechanism by which this compound operates was elucidated through network pharmacology, molecular docking and dynamics simulations, further confirming the stability of interactions between compound 9 and key protein targets, thereby emphasizing its potential as a promising lead compound for osteoporosis therapeutics. © 2025, The Authors. Mathematical modeling in the epidemiology study can be applied to describe the current transmission of viruses, one of which is compartments. However, this simulation model is rigorous to understand, especially in interpreting the parameter values in influencing the solution. Therefore, it is necessary to present a coherent mathematical model solution. This study aims to determine the SEIRD model solution in the COVID-19 transmission using Microsoft Excel with three conditions (normal, new normal, and lockdown) to facilitate the interpretation of data. The SEIRD model used in this study considers natural population growth, namely natural births and deaths. Three stages to evaluate the model solution in this study are constructing a mathematical model, deciding the parameter intervals, and creating an applet in Microsoft Excel. The system of differential equations is converted into a system of difference equations to obtain numerical model solutions. The results showed that the differences in the infection rates for old normal, new normal, and lockdown conditions were 24%, 4%, and 3%, respectively.

Entanglement and Purification Transitions in Non-Hermitian Quantum Mechanics

A quantum system subject to continuous measurement and postselection evolves according to a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian. We show that, as one increases the strength of postselection, this non-Hermitian Hamiltonian can undergo a spectral phase transition. On one side of this phase transition (for weak postselection), an initially mixed density matrix remains mixed at all times, and an initially unentangled state develops volume-law entanglement; on the other side, an arbitrary initial state approaches a unique pure state with low entanglement. We identify this transition with an exceptional point in the spectrum of the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian, at which PT symmetry is spontaneously broken. We characterize the transition as well as the nontrivial steady state that emerges at late times in the mixed phase using exact diagonalization and an approximate, analytically tractable mean-field theory; these methods yield consistent conclusions.
