Electric power plays a very important role in people's lives and in the development of various sectors of the economy. Modern economies are very dependent on electrical energy as the main driving force for activities. This has led to an increase in the number and capacity of power plants. Solar power is a new renewable energy generator that is developed to increase the capacity of electricity generation in Indonesia. The instability of solar irradiance means that the resulting solar power generation must be stored in batteries before being transferred to the load. There is an inverter in the battery discharging system which functions to change the amount of DC to AC. Changes in battery capacity due to the use of loads result in an unstable inverter output voltage, so a control system is required. The battery discharging system also needs to be controlled to maintain battery performance. This study aims to design and implement fuzzy logic control (FLC) for controlling the inverter output voltage and a cyber physics system (CPS) based battery discharging system. Input FLC is in the form of error and delta error and the output is in the form of pulse width modulation (PWM). The control of battery discharging uses two batteries which can work automatically and manually via the CPS connected command. The response of the inverter output voltage control system has a rise time of 0.38 minutes, a maximum overshoot of 4.54 percent, and a steady-state error value of 0.1817 percent. Battery discharging control can work properly according to the built control mechanism. The uncertainty of UA1 for the inverter output voltage is 0.434, the output current is 0.002, and the output power is 0.408 Watt. © 2025 Institute of physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

In this paper, a control system based on Sliding Mode Control (SMC) and Kalman Filter has been designed to stabilize the quadcopter in the takeoff and hover phases as well as at the expected altitude. The control system is needed to support the performance of the quadcopter in carrying out the mission that has been given. The designed control system begins with the creation of a system model equation and is implemented in a real quadcopter simulation. The resulting response in terms of the results of the resulting control signal is stable, meets the trajectory as expected, and can produce a real quadcopter simulation taking off vertically and flying stably. Even though there was an unstable response for about 15 to 20 seconds at the beginning of the resulting response, after that the system showed stability. Tracking the resulting trajectory in accordance with the desired trajectory. Real quadcopter simulation results show that the takeoff phase can be carried out vertically and that the resulting trajectory stability can be stable during takeoff and flight. The height of the quadcopter has reached 100%, namely with a height of 1.5 meters as expected, and the average error value obtained at the x position is 2.93e^-07, the y position is 2.96e^-07, and the z position is 1.80e^-03. The proposed SMC-Kalman filter control system is expected to be implemented in a conventional quadcopter that has been developed. © 2023 IEEE.

Poverty is considered a serious global issue that must be immediately eradicated by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, namely ending poverty anywhere and in any form. As a developing country, poverty is a complex issue faced by Indonesia. Tackling poverty in Indonesia has become a key focus of the government’s strategic priorities. This issue of poverty is experienced by all provinces in Indonesia, including Central Java. The poverty rate in Central Java stands at 10.77% or 3.79 million people. The causes of poverty are explained by several factors. Using these various factors, a mapping model can be conducted to determine the number of poor populations in Central Java. This research employs Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) and Mixed Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) approaches to compare the effectiveness of these models in analyzing the number of poor populations in Central Java in 2023. The kernel function weighting used in this study is Fixed Gaussian. The results showed that the MGWR model outperformed both the OLS regression and GWR models, achieving an Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) of 62.766, an R2 of 82.3%, and a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.177. Consequently, it can be inferred that the MGWR model was more suitable for explaining the poverty levels in Central Java. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). All Rights Reserved.

Precious metal nanoparticles, especially silver, can be an alternative antibacterial agent that is more promising than antibiotics, which tends to induce resistance over time. Unfortunately, most Silver nanoparticle (AgNP) manufacturing methods involve hazardous substances, extreme conditions, high energy, and complicated separations. Reduction of AgNO3 solution with plant extracts can serve as a 'green' synthesis pathway, especially if using food processing waste or other biological materials. Reducing substances that are commonly found in plant extracts, such as flavonoids, are widely contained in shallots (Allium cepa L. var. aggregatum) which are commonly used as food ingredients in Indonesia, but the processing waste is still not widely used. This paper describes the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNP) with the AgNO3 solution reduction method, using onion peel waste extract as a reducing agent. Experiments were carried out with variations in the ratio of AgNO3 solution to onion peel extract. The resulting AgNPs were characterized by TEM and UV-vis. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Indonesia has entered a period of demographic bonus. Human resources must be optimized. The number of children who do not in employment, education or training (NEET) in each province needs attention. Several factors that could contribute to the decline in the NEET percentage are literacy rates and the number of adolescents with computer skills. Increasing these two factors is believed to be able to reduce the percentage of NEET in every province in Indonesia. To find out the relationship between these two factors and how much influence they have on the percentage of NEET, this research is modeled by Cauchy regression and includes spatial effects. The results of the analysis show that the best model is when the spatial effect is modeled by Fernandez Steel Skew Normal conditionally autoregressive (FSSN CAR). This result is seen from the smallest value of the Watanabe Akaike Information Criterion (WAIC) in this model, which is 190.5. The parameter estimated shows that the higher the literacy rate and the number of adolescents with computer skills, the lower the percentage of NEET in each province in Indonesia. The results of this research can be useful for the Indonesian government to increase the number of educational facilities related to these two factors. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). Due to the fact that a memristor with memory properties is an ideal electronic component for implementation of the artificial neural synaptic function,a brand-new tristable locally active memristor model is first proposed in this ***,a novel four-dimensional fractional-order memristive cellular neural network(FO-MCNN)model with hidden attractors is constructed to enhance the engineering feasibility of the original CNN model and its ***,its hardware circuit implementation and complicated dynamic properties are investigated on multi-simulation ***,it is used toward secure communication application *** it as the pseudo-random number generator(PRNG),a new privacy image security scheme is designed based on the adaptive sampling rate compressive sensing(ASR-CS)***,the simulation analysis and comparative experiments manifest that the proposed data encryption scheme possesses strong immunity against various security attack models and satisfactory compression performance.

The high demand and related high cost of minced meat make it vulnerable to adulteration. The practice of adulteration can have detrimental implications for individuals' well-being and can provide significant challenges for religious communities adhering to dietary regulations. For example, individuals who follow the Islamic faith are forbidden from consuming pork, hence emphasizing the significance of swiftly determining the existence of pork in the meat they ingest. This study aimed to examine the use of an imaging technology for the detection and quantification of pork adulteration in raw minced beef. The initial approach employed for the categorization of unadulterated beef, beef contaminated with pork, and unadulterated pork is artificial neural networks, which attains a remarkable accuracy rate of 99.01%. The second model employed deep neural networks to evaluate the level of adulteration in minced beef with pork. This model achieved a root mean square error (RMSE) value of 0.01681 and a coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.98890. © 2023 IEEE.

Solar panel, as a renewable energy source, require batteries to store the generated energy. Continuous use of batteries can lead to capacity reduction and performance decline. To address this issue, it is important to have a system that can estimate the State of Charge (SOC) of the battery to control the charging process and maintain optimal battery performance. This research develops an SOC estimation system for lead-acid batteries by applying the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) algorithm. The ANN method has several advantages, such as more efficient iteration processes, increased speed in parameter updates, and the ability to achieve convergence more quickly. Meanwhile, the ANN algorithm also offers advantages in ease of implementation and better interpretability. The SOC estimation results for a 48V, 12Ah lead-acid battery using the ANN algorithm show that the training phase reveals a compelling regression plot, demonstrating an impressive R value of 0.99979. The minuscule error rate in the prediction system unequivocally affirms the exceptional quality of this ANN model. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2024.

Smart sensors and medical health technologies are becoming increasingly popular due to their potential for real-time, noninvasive health monitoring and diagnostics. With the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), these devices can track vital signs and important biomarkers, supporting the management of chronic diseases. This study employs bibliometric analysis using tools like VOSviewer to map research trends in this domain, identifying collaborations, emerging keywords, and contributions from institutions and countries. Findings indicate a significant increase in publications and citations, especially after 2010, highlighting influential journals such as IEEE Sensors Journal. The primary focus is on health monitoring applications and advancements in sensor technology, with an increasing use of terms like "machine learning" and "data analytics." These findings provide insights into future research directions and technological innovations that impact medical health applications. It is recommended that future development integrate advanced data processing techniques and apply sensors in infrastructure and smart city environments, aiming to create systems that are more responsive, efficient, and sustainable. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2024.

Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces: A promising frontier for future generations of wireless technology

The rapid advancement of wireless technologies has completely transformed the way we live, work, and connect with others. With the commercialization of 5G, researchers are now pushing the boundaries even further, developing the next generations, often referred to as beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G. B5G and 6G are poised to provide even higher data rates, capacities, and reliabilities;lower latency;and greater connectivity than the current 5G. To meet these stringent requirements, future wireless generations are expected to populate higher frequency bands, such as millimeter-wave and subterahertz bands. However, in these frequency ranges, a major challenge awaits. The wireless communications in these bands are expected to rely on the line-of-sight (LoS) path. Due to the shorter wavelength, a simple obstacle, such as a wall, tree, or even a human standing between the transmitter and receiver, can significantly degrade the communication quality. To tackle this issue, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) have risen as a promising technology that could become the key to future communications. Comprising low-cost, low-complexity, passive elements, an RIS is able to manipulate the electromagnetic wave properties, allowing one to realize a smart wireless environment. An RIS is capable of beam steering and beam forming, creating a virtual LoS when no LoS exists between the transmitter and receiver. This brief article discusses the RIS technology and its promising features for the future of wireless communications. © 1988-2012 IEEE.
