The rapid development of edge artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about revolutionary changes in supply chain management (SCM). It not only provides real-time data processing capabilities but also accelerates the decision-making process, injecting more innovative elements into SCM. In this context, SCM platforms require new technological developments and effective evaluations, as they collectively drive the efficient coordination of complex business processes. SCM platforms enable the seamless coordination of various supply chain elements, facilitating streamlined operations and enhanced decision-making processes. The evaluation of these platforms not only serves to validate their performance and effectiveness, but also contributes to continual improvements in design and application, and addressing the evolving demands within the realms of global commerce and dynamic market conditions. The ongoing assessment and enhancement of SCM platforms play a crucial role in optimizing resource allocation, improving production efficiency, and fostering adaptability to changing market dynamics. However, the acquisition of assessment data often introduces imprecise data. Additionally, the large-scale nature and bounded rationality of decision-makers (DMs) significantly impact the evaluation of SCM platforms. This article aims to explore a collaborative large-scale information fusion approach and provide a robust fuzzy framework for evaluating SCM platforms. This approach employs a combination of spherical fuzzy sets (SFSs), large-scale group decision-making (LSGDM), behavioral theories and three-way decisions (TWD) to thoroughly explore collaborative large-scale information fusion and its practical application in assessing SCM platforms. The evolution of embedded systems has demonstrated their reliability as a solution for monitoring and controlling industrial systems, particularly in renewable energy conversion systems like photovoltaic (PV) energy. The increasing adoption of PV systems highlights the critical need for effective fault diagnosis to ensure their reliable operation. In this paper, we present a novel fault diagnosis approach utilizing Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks optimized through Bayesian optimization techniques. Our methodology is implemented on a Raspberry Pi platform, demonstrating the feasibility of deploying sophisticated fault diagnosis algorithms in resource-constrained environments. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach to accurately diagnose faults in grid-connected photovoltaic systems, thereby improving the reliability and efficiency of integrated environmental monitoring *** obtained results highlight the potential of combining advanced deep learning techniques with embedded systems to address complex diagnostic challenges, as demonstrated by achieving a 100% accuracy rate.

Nowadays, multimedia data are often produced by various sources, e.g., Internet of Things (IoT), social media, customer databases, etc. As tremendous multimedia data are produced every day, users or E-commerce customers cannot infer information from such data by themselves and therefore recommender systems have been developed to help users to select the products or services which better fit users' preferences or requirements. Nonetheless, there exists few works on the incorporation of side information or multiple attributes about items into the design of a more robust recommender system. In this work, we propose a novel approach based on the third-order tensor singular-value-decomposition (T3-SVD) to design new personalized multimedia recommender systems (PMRSs) for internet users. A PMRS can dynamically adjust its recommendation strategy subject to a particular user's on-line transaction behavior. To evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed PMRS based on T3-SVD, we compare the performances of our proposed new PMRS and two other existing tensor-based recommendation systems over realworld data in terms of normalized root-mean-square error (NRMSE). As a result, our proposed new PMRS greatly outperforms the other two existing systems. © 2023 IEEE.

This manuscript introduces an efficient resource allocation framework for a transmissive reconfigurable intelligent surface (T-RIS) assisted Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system under residual hardware impairments (RHIs) resulting from imperfect transceiver hardware design. In particular, the goal is to maximize the sum rate of the considered multi-cluster based T-RIS assisted LEO-satellite NOMA network. This is achieved by optimizing the power-allocation of users, time-allocation for each cluster, and transmit passive beamforming of T-RIS node, while adhering to quality-of-service (QoS), time-allocation, and power-budget constraints. Moreover, the presented optimization algorithm tackles the considered highly non-convex problem in three steps. Firstly, the power-allocation of NOMA users is computed by exploiting Lagrange duality and sub-gradient methods. Secondly, the time-allocation for each cluster is determined based on the interior point method by exploiting Mosek-assisted CVX toolbox. Thirdly, the computation of passive beamforming employs semi-definite programming (SDP) and successive convex approximation (SCA) techniques, where a rank-1 solution is achieved by incorporating the Gaussian randomization method. Finally, numerical simulations affirm the effectiveness of the proposed optimization strategy, highlighting its superior performance in comparison to benchmark techniques. Notably, it proves to be highly effective in achieving fast convergence with only a few iterations. © 2017 IEEE.

This paper presents a deep-learning (DL)-based transceiver design on additive non-Gaussian impulsive noise (IN) channels. At first, an impulsive generative adversarial network (IGAN) with specific regularization terms is proposed to capture the IN behaviours and used as the channel noise simulator (CNS). Subsequently, the transmitter and receiver are jointly optimized to develop both optimal transmit signal and detection. Furthermore, to enhance the detection performance, the multi-level wavelet signal recovery network (MWSRN) is applied to construct a preprocessor to combat both IN and channel fading without pilots. Illustrative simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve better convergence and bit-error rate (BER) performance under different IN settings than various existing approaches. © 2015 IEEE.

Band Sampling of Hyperspectral Anomaly Detection in Effective Anomaly Space

This article investigates four issues, background (BKG) suppression (BS), anomaly detectability, noise effect, and interband correlation reduction (IBCR), which have significant impacts on its performance. Despite that a recently developed effective anomaly space (EAS) was designed to use data sphering (DS) to remove the second-order data statistics characterized by BKG, enhance anomaly detectability, and reduce noise effect, it does not address the IBCR issue. To cope with this issue, this article introduces band sampling (BSam) into EAS to reduce IBCR and further suppress BKG more effectively. By implementing EAS in conjunction with BSam (EAS-BSam), these four issues can be resolved altogether for any arbitrary anomaly detector. It first modifies iterative spectral-spatial hyperspectral anomaly detection (ISSHAD) to develop a new variant of ISSHAD, called iterative spectral-spatial maximal map (ISSMax), and then generalizes ISSMax to EAS-ISSMax, which further enhances anomaly detectability and noise removal. Finally, EAS-BSam is implemented to reduce IBCR. As a result, combining EAS, BSam, and ISSMax yields four versions: EAS-BSam, EAS-ISSMax, BSam-SSMAX, and EAS-BSam-SSMax. Such integration presents a great challenge because all these four versions are derived from different aspects, iterative spectral-spatial feedback process, compressive sensing, and low-rank and sparse matrix decomposition. Experiments demonstrate that EAS-BSam and EAS-BSam-SSMax show their superiority to ISSHAD and many current existing hyperspectral anomaly detection (HAD) methods. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

Gaussian pyramid (GP) is a commonly used image coding technique that encodes an image as a pyramid that is stacked by a set of images with Gaussian window-reduced sizes and multiple spatial resolutions. Associated with GP, a Laplacian pyramid (LP) can be also constructed to represent differential images between images in two consecutive layers of GP. Such resulting Gaussian-Laplacian pyramid (GLP) performs data compression in a lossless and lossy manner. A convolutional neural network (CNN) consists of a series of layers concatenated in a feedforward manner where each layer has a convolutional sublayer (CL) and a pooling sublayer (PL). Interestingly, each layer implemented by CL and PL in a CNN can be realized by a single layer in GP in the sense that CL and PL can be carried out by a low-pass Gaussian filter operated as a Gaussian kernel in a single layer of GP. This article develops a new approach to hyperspectral image classification (HSIC), called the GLP network (GLPN), which uses not only GP to realize CNN but also LP to capture differential information between two consecutive layers that CNN cannot. Furthermore, by incorporating an iterative process into GLPN, we can derive an iterative GLPN (IGLPN) that can be considered a companion of a recently developed iterative random training sampling CNN (IRTS-CNN) by replacing CNN with GLPN. Since GLPN can realize CNN in a better way, it is expected that IGLPN will perform better than IRTS-CNN and also significantly reduce computational efficiency compared to IRTS-CNN. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

The pansharpening of high-resolution panchromatic (Pan) image and low-resolution multispectral (MS) images represents an important task in the remote sensing field. It allows the joint exploitation of the information derived from both types of images. However, this may cause a distortion of spectral information or a lack in details and structures. The multiresolution analysis using wavelet transforms has proved its efficiency in the pansharpening domain, due to the representation of the image content over different resolution levels. In image fusion applications, we always need more detail information to be incorporated in the pansharpening procedure in order to produce enhanced results. However, the limitation of the wavelet transform to three types of oriented detail coefficients prevents this need from being met. To overcome this limitation, we propose to use the redundant contourlet transform (RCT) which extracts a richer multiscale directional information from the image. For this purpose, two RCT-based pansharpening methods are introduced and suitable data fusion procedures are described. We conducted several experiments on two different datasets acquired respectively by ALSAT-2A and IKONOS satellites. The visual results as well as quantitative results from evaluation metrics demonstrate the performance of the proposed methods.
