A vast number of technologies based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) have proliferated into various application domains. As part of its objectives to develop agents which can behave and think like humans, some branches of AI have focused on developing various algorithms that can learn from input data without explicitly being programmed. In the food industry, notably in restaurants, smartphone technology is typically used to collect data from customers efficiently such as orders or feedback toward the services provided. The use of smartphones by some restaurants is motivated by their convenience and efficiency. Furthermore, various promotions, discounts, and membership benefits offered by cellular service providers have attracted the use of smartphones as devices for improving restaurant services to their customers. This study aimed to conduct a sentiment analysis related to multi-brand restaurants in Indonesia based on customer feedback. The data retrieved from the Google Play Store consists of 756 reviews from Boga, Champs, Hangry, Ismaya, Kulo, and Union groups. In this study, TF-IDF was used as a vectorizer to represent customer feedback as numeric vectors. The polarity sentiment of customer feedback was recognized using classifier models based on machine learning such as Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes (NB), Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) as the classifier. The empirical results showed that SVM has the best accuracy of 93.10 % average accuracy followed by Logistic Regression with 92.41 %, Random Forest with 84.14 % average accuracy, and Naive Bayes with 76.55 % average accuracy.

Quantitative positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), owing to the functional metabolic information and anatomical information of the human body that it presents, is useful to achieve accurate tumor delineation. However, manual annotation of a Volume Of Interest (VOI) is a labor-intensive and time-consuming task. In this study, we automatically segmented the Head and Neck (H&N) primary tumor in combined PET/CT images. Herein, we propose a convolutional neural network named Multimodal Spatial Attention Network (MSA-Net), supplemented with a Spatial Attention Module (SAM), which uses a PET image as an input. We evaluated this model on the MICCAI 2021 HEad and neCK TumOR (HECKTOR) segmentation challenge dataset. Our method delivered a competitive cross-validation efficiency, with Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) 0.757, precision 0.788, and recall 0.785. When we tested out method on test dataset, we achieved an average DSC and Hausdorff Distance at 95% (HD95) of 0.766 and 3.155 respectively. CONVERGENCE SPEED AND APPROXIMATION ACCURACY OF NUMERICAL MCMC

When implementing Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms, perturbation caused by numerical errors is sometimes inevitable. This paper studies how perturbation of MCMC affects the convergence speed and Monte Carlo estimation accuracy. Our results show that when the original Markov chain converges to stationarity fast enough and the perturbed transition kernel is a good approximation to the original transition kernel, the corresponding perturbed sampler has similar convergence speed and high approximation accuracy as well. We discuss two different analysis frameworks: ergodicity and spectral gap, both are widely used in the literature. Our results can be easily extended to obtain non-asymptotic error bounds for MCMC estimators. We also demonstrate how to apply our convergence and approximation results to the analysis of specific sampling algorithms, including Random walk Metropolis and Metropolis adjusted Langevin algorithm with perturbed target densities, and parallel tempering Monte Carlo with perturbed densities. The phenomenon of urbanization in Indonesia is inevitable. The new residential and economic centers in suburban areas is also a problem in city development. The gradual planning and development of smart cities in a living lab require consideration of the right location for a living lab. This study wants to show that suburban areas as city buffer zones can become living laboratories for smart city development. The diversity of situations in cities and regencies across Indonesia, the potential for resources, and the problems faced are the challenges of developing a living lab - Garuda Smart City Framework. This research uses the method of reviewing the literature of research publications for the last five years (2019–2023) to obtain information on Smart City development in Indonesia. We collected selected articles from databases in Google Scholar, IEEE, and Scopus using the Publish and Perish 8. The search keywords used were garuda AND Smart city AND Framework. The findings show the potential and dynamics of buffer zones to become appropriate living laboratories. Smart city regional planning can more holistically involve neighborhoods and address urban issues.

Synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) image resolution is constrained by waveform bandwidth and array geometry. Specifically, the waveform bandwidth determines a point spread function (PSF) that blurs the locations of point scatterers in the scene. In theory, deconvolving the reconstructed SAS image with the scene PSF restores the original distribution of scatterers and yields sharper reconstructions. However, deconvolution is an ill-posed operation that is highly sensitive to noise. In this work, we leverage implicit neural representations (INRs), shown to be strong priors for the natural image space, to deconvolve SAS images. Importantly, our method does not require training data, as we perform our deconvolution through an analysis-by-synthesis optimization in a self-supervised fashion. We validate our method on simulated SAS data created with a point scattering model and real data captured with an in-air circular SAS. This work is an important first step towards applying neural networks for SAS image deconvolution.

A series of indium nitride (InN) thin films have been grown on sapphire substrates by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) technology under different growth conditions of temperature and plasma power. Their structural, surface, and optical properties are studied by a variety of techniques of scanning electron microscopy, Hall effect, x-ray diffraction, photoluminescence (PL), Raman scattering, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), synchrotron radiation x-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES), and so on. The lower carrier concentration in InN can be obtained with a higher MBE growth temperature and a lower plasma power. As the plasma power increases, the PL peak energy is observed to shift toward the higher energy side and the Raman E2 (high) and A1 (LO) modes are shifted to the lower frequency. The residual compressive strain in epitaxial InN is relaxed. The lower plasma power and the higher growth temperature are preferred for the MBE growth of high-quality InN films. The influencing factors on the InN PL peak and band gap Eg have been revealed. It is evidenced that the InN PL peak and Eg can be shifted from high down to ∼0.65 eV with the carrier concentration down to low E19 cm−3 and the plasma power down to ∼80 W. Both the XPS and N K-edge XANES revealed the antisite defect of N on the In site, NIn. The XANES In L-edge measurements on the In L3-edge of InN films with various carrier concentrations has indicated the fourfold InN intermediate crystal structures. These obtained results are significant and useful to deepen the understanding and promote further investigation in InN and III-N materials. © 2023 Author(s).

Heterostructures based on ultrawide-bandgap (UWBG) semiconductors (bandgap>4.0eV), such as BN and diamond, hold significant importance for the development of high-power electronics in the next generation. However, achieving in situ heteroepitaxy of BN/diamond or vice versa remains exceptionally challenging due to the complex growth kinetics involved. In this work, we grew BN thin film on (100) single-crystal diamonds using pulsed laser deposition and investigated its structural, magnetic, optical, and thermal properties. The structural analyses confirmed the growth of BN films, which exhibited diamagnetic behavior at room temperature. Notably, the film demonstrated anisotropic refractive index characteristics within the visible-to-near-infrared wavelength range. The room-temperature cross-plane thermal conductivity of BN is 1.53 ± 0.77 W/mK, while the thermal conductance of the BN/diamond interface is 20±2MW/m2K. These findings have significant implications for a range of device applications based on UWBG BN/diamond heterostructures.
