Expectations are rising for four-wheel independently steered vehicles due to their high degree of freedom. However, inputting an appropriate steering angle to each wheel is necessary. Therefore, we propose a path-tracking control method for four-wheel independently steered vehicles using the pure pursuit method. The pure pursuit method is used as a path-tracking algorithm for self-driving cars because of its ease of implementation, but the method must be applied to turning movements by various independent steering patterns of four-wheel independently steered vehicles. Therefore, we develop a new pure pursuit method that enables the steering angle ratio of the front and rear wheels to be changed and allows the center of the vehicle to follow the path. The simulation results showed that the proposed method enabled a four-wheel independently steered vehicle to follow the road under any steering angle ratio of the front and rear wheels. By adjusting the look-ahead distance, we confirmed that the vehicle did not deviate from the road width. In addition, we confirmed that when the curvature of the road changed significantly, a contradictory relationship existed between the vehicles path-tracking performance and the magnitude of the vehicle's lateral acceleration.

In this paper, the inverse problem of the wave equation by the enclosure method for a medium with multiple types of cavities is discussed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the disinfection effect of Near-UV LED light, which is pulsed using PWM control, on Staphylococcus aureus. To evaluate the disinfection effect of Near-UV LED light, three types of Near-UV LEDs with wavelengths of 395 nm, 385 nm, and 365 nm were installed within a sealed space inside an incubator and energized with a forward current of 1000 mA and a forward voltage of 3.6 V, and the disinfection rate under each type of light was assessed. Additionally, the disinfection effect was evaluated when the same three types of Near-UV LEDs were pulsed with a 50% duty cycle. As a result, 100% disinfection was achieved with 365 nm Near-UV LED direct-current irradiation for 120 seconds, and a 93% disinfection rate was obtained with pulsed irradiation for 150 seconds. © 2024 IEEE.

In general, public or private organizations or companies have used information-based technology as a support to improve business performance to be more effective and efficient in order to achieve a company's business goals. Given the large contribution of information technology in the application of hotel applications as a supporting information system, it is a vital system that must avoid risks that can hinder and cause harm to the hotel management business processes. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out risk management using the COBIT 5 framework to manage possible risks that may occur based on the APO12 (Manage Risk) domain. From the evaluation results of the data obtained through observation and interviews as well as the calculation of the results of the questionnaire based on 6 APO12 subdomains, the results of the risk management level capability assessment in hotel applications are still at level 3 or have reached the level of established process with the target to be achieved at level 4 resulting in a gap of 1 level. Based on the results obtained, it is necessary to propose recommendations that can be used by hotels in improving the application of information technology risk management so that in the future it can achieve the expected target level so that the APO12 level of capability can increase and become more optimal. © 2023 IEEE.

This study is related to a system that enables elderly people to communicate interactively with young people who use existing message exchange services by simply speaking to an avatar on a tablet PC, without having to perform complicated operations of the tablet PC. On the other hand, the young people side can bring in elderly people who could not previously participate in existing message exchange services groups. The effectiveness of the system was verified through demonstration experiments with two households consisting of elderly people in their 80s. © 2022 IEEE.

Amorphous indium gallium zinc oxide (a-IGZO)-based thin film transistors (TFTs) are increasingly becoming popular because of their potential in futuristic applications, including CMOS technology. Given the demand for CMOS-compatible, ultra-scaled, reliable, and high-performing devices, we fabricate and analyze scaled-channel a-IGZO-TFTs with an optimal double-gate structure, a thin nanosheet-based channel, and an effective high- κ dielectric namely HfO2. The reliably reported double gate IGZO nanosheet TFTs (DG-IGZO-NS-TFTs) are tested under positive and negative bias stress at variant temperatures, and the resulting modulations are analyzed critically. The reported DG-IGZO-NSTFTs exhibit a negative side threshold voltage shift (Δ Vth) accompanied by an increase in Ion/Ion(0) under negative bias temperature stress (NBTS) at elevated temperatures, which indicates the presence of additional charges. An anomalous negative side shifting of the Vth is observed under positive bias temperature stress (PBTS), where diffused hydrogen atoms are identified as introducing excess n-type carriers into the channel and causing the observed Δ Vth. The spectroscopic analysis is performed to establish evidence for the assumed mechanisms, and the role of individual gates is investigated in the context of performance variance under temperature-bias stress. Moreover, the partial reversibility of the stress-induced degradation is experimentally established and methodically discussed. Overall, the reported results offer a comprehensive understanding of scaled-channel DG-NS-IGZO-TFTs, which help shape performance-enhancement strategies, control degradation mechanisms, and define appropriate application scenarios. © 2013 IEEE.

Energy sector is one of the contributors to climate change besides forestry, environment, and transportation sectors. Then, the results of the COP 26 in Glasgow meeting states that Indonesia have a target to achieve Net Zero Emission (NZE) by 2060 if there is international support for funding and technology with some note that this project does not interfere with availability and affordability. In achieving the zero-emission target, the government is implementing five main principles, which include increasing the use of new renewable energy (NRE), reducing fossil energy, explore the use of electric vehicles in the transportation sector, increasing the use of electricity in households and industries, and utilizing Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). In this paper several proposals can be made to further reduce production costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the North Sulawesi system compared to Electricity Supply Business Plan by PLN which is called RUPTL. Two additional scenarios can be used for the proposal, which are addition of geothermal, solar and pump hydro to replace coal power plant and construction of North Sulawesi interconnection with Central Sulawesi. From the simulation results of the cost and carbon emission analysis between three scenarios, the scenario from RUPTL is the cheapest in terms of cost at 3.295 billion USD and the interconnection scenario is the smallest in terms of emissions, with CO2 emissions reaching 0 Mt. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, we focus on channel estimation for a millimeter-wave (mmWave) MIMO-OFDM systems. In previous studies, channel estimation by angles of arrival (AoAs), angles of departure (AoDs), and delays estimated by the Beamspace Unitary Tensor ESPRIT is proposed. However, this study evaluated channel estimation using a model with uniform linear arrays (ULA) at the transmitter and receiver, and taking into account the form factor limitation, it is desirable to evaluate and study the channel estimation in 3D MIMO with antenna arrays arranged in two dimensions. Therefore, we evaluated and studied channel estimation using the Beamspace Unitary Tensor ESPRIT, assuming a mmWave 3D MIMO-OFDM system with uniform rectangular arrays (URA) on the transmitter and receiver. The simulation results show high channel estimation accuracy of the presented algorithm.
