In response to the high computational performance demands of emerging compute-intensive applications for uncertain internet of things (IoT) scenarios, this paper proposes a task offloading and resource allocation algorithm combined with deep reinforcement learning. Firstly, under the constraints of computing resources of mobile devices (MDs) as well as IoT terminals and latency computing tasks, a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem for joint task offloading and resource allocation is established. Due to the time varying nature of dynamic MEC scenarios and the fact that single agent could only access partial envirionmental state, the original problem is transformed into a partially observable markov decision process (POMDP). However, in dense and uncertain scenarios, each MD has distinct requirements in terms of latency and the computational capacity of Edge Servers (ES) during offloading. To this end, a reliability-enhanced MADDPG (RE-MADDPG) algorithm is proposed to generate the user offloading strategy according to the delay and reliability without knowing the information of the MEC server in the current slot. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the delay and provide users with more efficient services. © 2024 IEEE.

The work deals with issues that are relevant for developers of websites and web applications to support users with certain disabilities who access the Internet via desktop computers or laptops using screen reader NVDA. The core users of NVDA are blind people. The effectiveness of using the application depends on the quality and completeness of the description of the web page tags. The purpose of the research is to ensure the appropriate level of accessibility of web pages that will be used by blind users using NVDA. Formalized rules for analyzing structure of webpages in the form of predicates calculus have formed. The proposed technology for developing webpages and web applications has been presented in the form of BPMN business process diagrams. Approach for automated detection of problematic tags in the structure of webpages has considered. Several webpages with identical design and different web-structure have been researched for checking accessibility requirements for blind people. The results of webpage accessibility estimation and the corresponding screenshots that visualize problematic situations in the work of blind users with a webpage have presented. © 2023 IEEE.

In air traffic control communications (ATCC), misunderstandings between pilots and controllers could result in fatal aviation accidents. Fortunately, advanced automatic speech recognition technology has emerged as a promising means of preventing miscommunications and enhancing aviation safety. However, most existing speech recognition methods merely incorporate external language models on the decoder side, leading to insufficient semantic alignment between speech and text modalities during the encoding phase. Furthermore, it is challenging to model acoustic context dependencies over long distances due to the longer speech sequences than text, especially for the extended ATCC data. To address these issues, we propose a speech-text multimodal dual-tower architecture for speech recognition. It employs cross-modal interactions to achieve close semantic alignment during the encoding stage and strengthen its capabilities in modeling auditory long-distance context dependencies. In addition, a two-stage training strategy is elaborately devised to derive semantics-aware acoustic representations effectively. The first stage focuses on pre-training the speech-text multimodal encoding module to enhance inter-modal semantic alignment and aural long-distance context dependencies. The second stage fine-tunes the entire network to bridge the input modality variation gap between the training and inference phases and boost generalization performance. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed speech-text multimodal speech recognition method on the ATCC and AISHELL-1 datasets. It reduces the character error rate to 6.54% and 8.73%, respectively, and exhibits substantial performance gains of 28.76% and 23.82% compared with the best baseline model. The case studies indicate that the obtained semantics-aware acoustic representations aid in accurately recognizing terms with similar pronunciations but distinctive semantics. The issues of building a modular medical information system, in which the possibility of connecting and replacing modules is provided, are considered. The software is developed using microservice architecture. The module of autocompletion of the examination protocol is presented. The module is based on the use of neural network algorithms for recognizing information. SpeechKit neural network is used to translate speech from audio to text, and YandexGPT is used to extract answers to questions from text. The technologies of data exchange between the modules are analyzed, the technology of remote procedure call gRPC is highlighted. The protection and preservation of the privacy of personal data are one of the main requirements when it comes to an application dealing with the processing of such data. It is no different when it comes to information systems that store and process data about students in higher education systems. The public presentation of such data represents a serious threat to the safety of students as well as their status within the higher education system. For this reason, it is necessary to use the possibility of advanced technologies in order to raise data security to the highest level. One such technology that is able to provide transparency, security and data protection at a high level is blockchain technology. In this work, the Hyperledger Fabric distributed ledger private blockchain network was analyzed and its usability in terms of user rights management in higher education system was evaluated. Experimental analysis showed that such a platform has the ability to take advantage of private blockchain technologies in terms of user rights management and to provide security, flexibility and scalability of the system. © 2023 IEEE.

Traditional autonomous navigation methods for mobile robots mainly rely on geometric feature-based LiDAR scan-matching algorithms, but in complex environments, this method is often affected due to the presence of moving objects, occlusions, and other interfering factors, resulting in a decrease in positioning accuracy. With the growing demand for robotics applications in logistics, security, exploration and other fields, the need for robust autonomous navigation and high-precision mapping in highly dynamic and complex environments is becoming more and more urgent. To solve this problem, an improved front-end scan matching algorithm based on Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) LiDAR is proposed in this paper. Firstly, by using the target Doppler velocity information provided by the FMCW LiDAR, we design a novel point cloud segmentation algorithm based on velocity clustering, which is able to effectively distinguish between stationary and moving objects, and avoid the dynamic interference affecting the position estimation. Secondly, we introduce the Gaussian Mixture Model Sampling Consistency (GMMSC) algorithm, which is more robust to reject the mis-matched pairs in the scanning matching process and improve the alignment accuracy. Finally, based on the residual high-quality matched pairs, we combine the classical ICP algorithm with the robust kernel function to further enhance the stability of the position estimation in the case of occlusion and local mismatch. The experimental results show that the proposed improved algorithm significantly improves the mapping capability of mobile robots in complex environments compared with the existing techniques. The average relative error of the improved front-end scanning matching algorithm is reduced by 40.6 % compared with the pre-improved one. © 2025, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information CO LTD. Maintaining and establishing transparency, security and privacy, when the data that should be included as part of documents that should serve as public educational documents in the labor market, are a challenging task, especially nowadays when we have more frequent cyber-attacks on public institutions. Setting up the security mechanisms of information systems that should store, process and show this type of data can be a very demanding job. For this reason, the introduction of new technologies in this area, such as blockchain technology, leads to considerable system and implementation relief. In this paper, private blockchain platforms are analyzed from the point of view of processing digital certificates or diplomas in the higher education system. An overview of the most popular platforms of this type is given. The most appropriate solution for these needs are discussed and proposed. © 2023 IEEE.

This article presents the findings from a simulation study on an interpolating analog-to-digital converter (ADC), which is classified as a high-precision device. The study reveals that the proposed interpolating ADC significantly enhances both accuracy and speed of conversion, outperforming known analogs by at least twice. For certain sub-ranges, improvements in accuracy and speed are observed to be more than double. The combined output code error of the interpolating ADC is found to be less than the set value at the 2nd stage of conversion by 4-5 times, with errors not exceeding 0.022% for a set 0.1 %, 0.01 % for a set 0.05%, and 0.0022% for a set 0.01%. The conversion duration increases twofold in the millivolt range when the set error values are halved, while in the range above 1V, the duration remains under 300 μ s for both cases. For the highest set error of 0.001%, the duration can reach up to 2 ms. The optimally chosen interpolating converter with an increased accuracy to 0.05% demonstrates typical performance in the 1 mV-1V range and showcases a conversion speed twice as fast in the 1V-10V range with enhanced accuracy. The proposed interpolating converter is thus considered a superior high-precision device, offering significant improvements in both accuracy and speed for various operating sub-ranges. © 2024 IEEE.

Space systems enable essential communications, navigation, imaging and sensing for a variety of domains, including agriculture, commerce, transportation, and emergency operations by first responders. Protecting the cybersecurity of these critical infrastructure systems is essential. While the space environment brings unique constraints to managing cybersecurity risks, lessons learned about risks and effective defenses in other critical infrastructure domains can help us to design effective defenses for space systems. In particular, discoveries regarding cybersecurity for industrial control systems (ICS) for energy, manufacturing, transportation, and the consumer and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) offer insights into cybersecurity for the space domain. Over the past twelve years, search engine optimization has become a classic technology for product promotion. Its tools have also become classics, such as Google AdWords advertising, HTML code optimization and building the semantic core of a WEB resource. However, recently they no longer give significant results, and their efficiency drops. We completed several WEB projects in 2020–2021, the results of which show a catastrophic drop in the efficiency of classic SEO tools by at least 50%. The main reason for this is that the online market is constantly changing due to competition. In our study, we propose to look for ways to improve efficiency based on the reengineering of existing tools. To implement the reengineering procedure, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of existing SEO tools. Therefore, in this paper, we focused on the problem of evaluating the effectiveness of the semantic kernel of digital content as the most common approach in SEO. It is based on the method of analyzing the current situation and its automatic evaluation. By the situation, we mean a set of WEB documents that contain a semantic kernel. Therefore, the evaluation of the efficiency of the kernel must be performed both from the point of view of the document and from the point of view of the keyword. Further, such an assessment should also include a measure of the quality of the semantic kernel from the position of the search server. Such a server offers two evaluation tools. The first is WEB statistics, that is, how many visits this kernel attracted. Another way is the structure of the kernel itself, that is, what keywords are included in its composition. And the third component of the assessment is the budget or financial resources that need to be spent on the synthesis and implementation of the kernel on the Internet.
