It has become gradually more complex to give more attention to the importance of business value of information system in the early hours of time. Above the past few days researchers have high lightened the requirement of information system in business field. Almost every organization and industry like electronics, textile, computer, health, education etc is investing appreciably in information system. It is generally observed that IS savings facilitate firms to achieve competitive benefit and enhance central part competencies to improve their performance and increase further wages. As a result Executive Enhance Business Value of BAL Information System (EEBVBIS) is at the heart of our deliberation in this research paper. This paper seeks to address the following questions. What is the role of business value in information system? How can we analyze business value of information system (IS)? What is the consequence of information system in new e-commerce era? It has been generally observed that with the passage of time as the quick changes are taking place in information system the above questions are gaining importance in the field of business. The deliberation in proper selection of technology and its proper utilization to improve the performance of a business in Hospital System provide help to achieve the business value. We also covered some aspects of Hospital System using statistical study. We focus the Information System which plays an important role in Hospital System (Private and Public Hospital System). © 2012 International Journal of computer science Issues.

In this study, we focused on the interoperability and authentication of medical devices in the context of telemedical systems. A recent standard called the ISO/IEEE 11073 Personal Health Device (X73-PHD) Standards addresses the device interoperability problem by defining common protocols for agent (medical device) and manager (appliance) interface. The X73-PHD standard however has not addressed security and authentication of medical devices which is important in establishing integrity of a telemedical system. We have designed and implemented a security policy within the X73-PHD standards. The policy will enable device authentication using Asymmetric-Key Cryptography and the RSA algorithm as the digital signature scheme. We used two approaches for performing the digital signatures: direct software implementation and use of embedded security modules (ESM). The two approaches were evaluated and compared in terms of execution time and memory requirement. For the standard 2048-bit RSA, ESM calculates digital signatures only 12% of the total time for the direct implementation. Moreover, analysis shows that ESM offers more security advantage such as secure storage of keys compared to using direct implementation. Interoperability with other systems was verified by testing the system with LNI Healthlink, a manager software that implements the X73-PHD standard. Lastly, security analysis was done and the system's response to common attacks on authentication systems was analyzed and several measures were implemented to protect the system against them.

In this work, we present the use of Shannon and Simpson Diversity Indices as texture descriptors for lung nodules in computerized Tomography (CT) images. These indices will be proposed to characterize the nodules into two classes: benign or malignant. The investigation is done using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) for classification in a dataset consisting of 73 nodules, 47 benign and 26 malignant;the results of the methodology were: sensitivity of 85.64%, specificity of 97.89% and accuracy of 92.78%. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

This paper proposes a multiobjective heuristic search approach to support a project portfolio selection technique on scenarios with a large number of candidate projects. The original formulation for the technique requires analyzing all combinations of candidate projects, which is unfeasible when more than a few alternatives are available. We have used a multiobjective genetic algorithm to partially explore the search space of project combinations and select the most effective ones. We present an experimental study based on four project selection problems that compares the results found by the genetic algorithm to those yielded by a non-systematic search procedure. Results show evidence that the project selection technique can be used in large-scale scenarios and that GA presents better results than simpler search strategy. The spread of telemedicine systems increases every day. The systems and PACS based on DICOM images has become common. This rise reflects the need to develop new storage systems, more efficient and with lower computational costs. With this in mind, this article discusses a study for application in NetCDF data format as the basic platform for storage of DICOM images. The study case comparison adopts an ordinary database, the HDF5 and the NetCDF to storage the medical images. Empirical results, using a real set of images, indicate that the time to retrieve images from the NetCDF for large scale images has a higher latency compared to the other two methods. In addition, the latency is proportional to the file size, which represents a drawback to a telemedicine system that is characterized by a large amount of large image files.

Many applications like video surveillance, telecommunication, weather forecasting and sensor networks uses high volume of data of different types. The effective and efficient analysis of data in such different forms becomes a challenging task. Analysis of such large expression data gives rise to a number of new computational challenges not only due to the increase in number of data objects but also due to the increase in number of attributes. Hence, to improve the efficiency and accuracy of mining task on high dimensional data, the data must be preprocessed by an efficient dimensionality reduction method. In this paper, we have proposed to use the method of k-means clustering and principal component analysis (PCA) approach for attribute reduction, which initially apply PCA to obtain reduced uncorrelated attributes specifying maximal eigenvalues in the dataset with minimum loss of information. Then again we proposed to use k-means on the PCA reduced dataset to discover discriminative features that will be the most adequate ones for classification. This is a combination of clustering approach with feature reduction to obtain a minimal set attributes retaining a suitably high accuracy in representing the original features. We have used the Greengram agricultural data set. Finally, we found that the result of clustering is same after reducing the attributes using PCA. © 2011 IEEE.

Telemedicine is a very important area in medical field that is expanding daily motivated by many researchers interested in improving medical applications. In Brazil was started in 2005, in the State of Santa Catarina has a developed server called the CyclopsDCMServer, which the purpose to embrace the HDF for the manipulation of medical images (DICOM) using a distributed file system. Since then, many researches were initiated in order to seek better performance. Our approach for this server represents an additional parallel implementation in I/O operations since HDF version 5 has an essential feature for our work which supports parallel I/O, based upon the MPI paradigm. Early experiments using four parallel nodes, provide good performance when compare to the serial HDF implemented in the CyclopsDCMServer.

The grid DEM(digital elevation model) generation can be from any of a number of sources:for instance,analogue to digital conversion of contour maps followed by application of the TIN model,or direct elevation point modelling via digital photogrammetry applied to airborne images or satellite ***,apart from the deployment of point-clouds from LiDAR data acquisition,the generally favoured approach refers to applications of digital *** of the most important steps in such deployment is the stereo matching process for conjugation point(pixel) establishment:very difficult in modelling any homogenous areas like water cover or forest canopied areas due to the lack of distinct spatial *** a result,application of automated procedures is sure to generate erroneous elevation *** this paper,we present and apply a method for improving the quality of stereo DEMs generated via utilization of an entropy texture *** filter was applied for extraction of homogenous areas before stereo matching so that a statistical texture filter could then be applied for removing anomalous evaluation values prior to interpolation and accuracy assessment via deployment of a spatial correlation *** exemplification,we used a stereo pair of ASTER 1B images.

A recent trend in ad hoc network routing is the reactive on-demand philosophy where routes are established only when required. Most of the protocols in this category, however, use single route and do not utilize multiple alternate paths. This paper proposes an analytical analysis of energy parameters, their usage and their evaluation in ad hoc networks. The scheme is incorporated with the AODV and DSR protocols and the performance has been studied through simulation.
