Modeling the relationship between public transportation and traffic conditions in urban areas : a system dynamics approach

The goals of the paper were to describe were and find the relations between numbers of available public transportation and traffic congestion and other variables that can reduce traffic congestion in Jakarta. The data that used in the simulation were provided by DKI Jakarta Provincial Statistics Agency from view years ago. To analyze the problem, System Dynamics are used to simulate the condition in the future using the models created based on relations between several variables. The results of the analysis shows that numbers of available public transportation cannot reduce traffic congestion if the numbers of private transportation weren't decreased. It can be concluded that government must force their citizen to reduce the number of private transportation by increasing the inflation supported by increasing numbers of available public transportation to accommodate deficit in transportation while building new roads to accommodate transportation growth in the future.

The development of the economic sector is determined by services to the public through reforms that aim to place public satisfaction through the management of road infrastructure assets. Some research on road infrastructure assets still requires a deepening of studies related to the delivery of public services related to asset management systems. The purpose of this study is to find an appropriate road infrastructure asset management strategy through an integrated asset management system and asset management policies that can provide public satisfaction. This comprehensive approach to management strategies ensures that the performance of service provider assets is in line with the expectations of stakeholders including road users. This descriptive qualitative research is based on the perspective of road users as respondents, consisting of vehicle drivers from 50 transportation companies (people or goods) through interviews and observations. The results show aspects of asset performance based on the user's perspective there are five aspects, namely productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, use of resources and institutions and this performance is integrated in the asset management system related to policies from the management authority through service delivery namely quality and mobility, risk and use and maintenance of resources. The conclusion of this research is that road infrastructure asset services can be improved through the concept of road infrastructure asset management strategies in an integrated management system with five aspects of performance and more directed towards asset management policies related to the provision of road infrastructure asset services.

The fast-paced technological advances, the availability of social media applications for participation, and the great amount of data to be interpreted are defying policy-makers to interact and communicate and to take measures to respond accordingly to the citizens' expectations. This research analyzes social media strategies in the strategic digital city for harnessing the citizen's collective intelligence. The research methodology used was a case study of a Brazilian city. Data were collected from a structured interview and from the 2013-2016 social media report released by the city hall. Results reveal that the local government uses social media applications for broadcasting institutional information and service information, for service delivery, and crowdsourcing practices. The research analysis concluded that the city of Curitiba uses social media as a strategic digital city resource for strengthening citizen engagement by envisaging different crowdsourcing practices and some novel content and action-driven strategies as storytelling, piquing curiosity, the use of memes, pop culture, the creation of characters, nicknames, among others.

Factor analysis is used to reduce data or summarize, from the old variable which is widely changed to a few new variables called factors, and still contains most of the information contained in the original variable. While regression analysis studies the relationship between one or more variables/independent variables (X) with one dependent variable (Y).The purpose of this paper is to describe how the factor analysis method can be used to provide solutions to operational problems such as problems with public transportation services with online applications, for this reason the research was conducted in identifying what factors influence the quality of online applications, and henceforth can be used in building mathematical models that can explain practical applications and predictions in the future. This research is explained in a quantitative descriptive form using exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis methods to process primary data and build models. The conclusion of this study is that there are 22 indicators and three factors that determine the quality of the application. The three factors produced are system and information factors, user impact factors, and promotion factors. These three factors can henceforth become a model in determining customer satisfaction as an end user of public transportation with an online application.

This paper analyses the sensitivity of reverse logistic formulation of herbs agro- industry based on fuzzy stochastic mixed integer linear programming. A case study from real world problem of herbs logistic in Indonesia is provided in order to respond stochastic challenges in the reverse logistic system. For implementation purpose of this current progress, some related historical and hypothetical data were deployed. The model was then used to test how far this fuzzy quantitative modelling is capable to solve the problem within available data ranges with consideration on possibility in each data occurrence. A GRG non-linear was used as model solution to solve the fuzzy stochastic modelling with implementation using Excel solver. The fuzzy quantitative modelling result with a case study in herbs logistic in Indonesia is concluded with verification and validation on current model formulation for decision making purposes in herbs reverse logistic.

The ability to manage knowledge is becoming increasingly important in today's knowledge economy, especially for companies. In order to obtain the effectiveness of the process of sharing knowledge within the company, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of the knowledge management system that is currently running. The purpose of knowledge management is to change the paradigm of existing knowledge in employees into knowledge that can explicitly become corporate or organizational knowledge, so that the company can be used to improve employee performance because there are sufficiently managed references or knowledge or experience or expertise that has been collected and disseminated by previous *** data obtained were then analyzed using the factor analysis method, and the results that five factors can affect employee performance through knowledge management systems implementation, these are the factors: human resources ability, effective information, knowledge management systems, Quality for Users, accurate information transfer, and adequate IT Infrastructure. Furthermore, from these five factors by using linear regression analysis a mathematical model can be built which can be simulated to illustrate the results of the evaluation.

The application of the factor analysis method to determine the performance of IT implementation in companies based on the IT balanced scorecard measurement method

The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of how to measure the performance of information technology implementation in a company by using factor analysis and regression analysis methods. From the resulting mathematical model, it can be used to make predictions and make strategies in the implementation of information technology in the future. The concept was developed from the IT Balanced Scorecard (IT BSC) theory which was developed by constructing each of the existing perspectives to obtain indicators which are then used as a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 75 respondents, but only 70 questionnaires were complete and valid for this study. The data obtained were then analyzed using the factor analysis method. The analysis shows that there are four factors that affect the performance of IT implementation, namely: IT Competency, IT Service Capability, Business Continuity, and IT improvement.

The frequency of human-tapanuli orangutan (Pongo tapanuliensis) conflict has been increased with the widespread on degradation and fragmentation at Batangtoru Forest, South Tapanuli Regency. Orangutans often come on community lands to look for food, especially while the durian fruit season. This study aims to obtain information on socio-economic characteristics and public perception index to mitigate on human-tapanuli orangutan conflict around the Dolok Sipirok Nature Reserve, South Tapanuli Regency. Data was collected using a questionnaire distribution, interviews and descriptive observations, starting from October 2019 to January 2020. Respondents were selected by purposively sampling method, i.e. people had met and interacted with orangutans as many as 61 respondents from three villages. Data analyzed using frequency tables, likers scale and spearman rank correlation. The results showed that the community is Muslim majority, productive age, education below senior high school, farmers and income below IDR. 4,000,000. The public perception has declared orangutans as animals that consume community plants. They will drive away the orangutans found in processed land. The perception of conflict mitigation has strongly agreed with the program that must be done including providing compensation for losses, increasing patrol programs, developing local wisdom and building corridors in state forests. The characteristics were a significant (α <0.01) influence on the perception index assessment i.e. the level of education, household member and family income.

In Law Number 24 Year 2007 concerning Disaster management, it is stated that the central government and regional governments are responsible for implementing disaster management, with an emphasis on preparedness and mitigation in dealing with natural disasters, but the socialization of these two matters is not regulated in the law exist, so that the planning and implementation of the socialization and internalization program must be carried out by the community itself. Exposure in this paper aims to provide an overview of how socialization of mitigation in dealing with natural disasters carried out by the use of information systems and technology can be successful with reference to the theory of SECI (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization), knowledge development with data formed based on the perspective of the community. Factor analysis method is used to look for the success factors of mitigation socialization in the face of natural disasters. Furthermore, from the new factors that are formed, further analysis is carried out with a regression analysis method to develop a successful model of disaster mitigation socialization *** results of the study provide a number of new factors that can be represented as variables of community awareness of natural disasters, mitigation socialization processes in the face of natural disasters, availability of systems and information technology, and knowledge management governance on natural disaster mitigation. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the momentum of the industrial revolution era 4.0 can be utilized to support the socialization process of natural disaster mitigation independently measured based on the local wisdom of the local community.
