In this work we combine the Internet-Based Information Consumer Theory（IBICT） and the Blogger-Centric Contextual Advertising（BCCA）. The efficiency of the assignment of personal ads to any blog page relies in the ability to understand or to direct the consumers’ desires. Hence, IBICT’s framework supports the understanding of the consumers’ desire while BCCA directs the assignment of personal ads.

Variations of volume transport in the Halmahera Sea are strongly influenced by the El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Based on the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI), in 2011 La Nina event took place with a strength of 3.02, while in 2015 El Nino occurred with a strength of -2.6. This paper discusses the variation of transport volume caused by the ENSO phenomenon based on the results of the Regional Ocean Model System (ROMS). On the Halmahera Sea at a latitude of 0.3°S with a width of 67 km and a depth of down to 200 m, net volume transport always moves southward. The largest volume transport in La Nina 2011 occurred in September-October, which was -8.9 Sv. Meanwhile, in El Nino 2015 the largest volume transport occurred in July-August, which was equal to -4.9 Sv. The cross correlation coefficient between volume transport and SOI in 2011 and 2015 was r = 0.55 and r = 0.61 respectively, where these results indicate a strong relationship. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The coastal area in Balikpapan Bay and its surrounding area has been devastated after the burst of an underwater oil pipe at the bay on March 31st, 2018, and the crude oil still continues spreading for a few days later. A three-dimensional hydrodynamic model is used to simulate the currents dynamic and investigate the influence of the current circulation on the spreading of the oil spill in Balikpapan Bay from March 31th to April 15th, 2018, to cover the event i.e. several weeks after the oil spill incident. Model results are validated by calculating the RMSE, MAPE and model skill using water level between available observation data at Semayang Port, Balikpapan station and numerical model from October 1st, 2012 to January 1st, 2013. Verification result of tidal elevation data from observation and model prediction shows a good agreement with RMSE = 7.8 cm, MAPE = 14.3% and model skill = 0.995. Surface currents circulation in Balikpapan Bay can be distinguished by the currents pattern on the spring tide and neap tide condition. During the spring tide condition, the surface currents mostly move to the east after coming out from the bay. However, the surface currents are strongly going southward after come out from the bay on the neap tide condition. Based on the satellite images captured for the next days after the event, the spreading pattern of the oil spill seems to be matched to the pattern of surface currents circulation on the spring tide condition. From the analysis of the model result, it shows that the currents circulation playing the main role to disperse the oil spill in Balikpapan Bay towards the Makassar Strait. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The present work aims to demonstrate that the use of computational intelligence in judicial provision can bring speed and legal certainty to judicial decisions. The possibility of using a technological tool based on processing in natural language and textual classification will be created and then evaluated for the simultaneous application of judicial precedents. With this, it will be sought to prove that the judicial decision can be rendered more quickly. Through the use of computational intelligence, we carried out the reading of the initial petition of processes distributed with the Special Courts of the District of Palmas-Toin Brazil in the years 2019 to 2022, focusing in the binding precedents edited by the STF and ST J. We seek the possible incidence and application of the binding precedent in the specific case and thus demonstrate that the judge could know, right after the filing of the action, that the object of the inaugural claim already had a manifestation of the STF or STJ and therefore it would be up to the judgment of injunction, and thus prove the possibility of obtaining speed and legal certainty in the jurisdictional provision with the combined use of technology with binding precedents.

Google COVID-19 community mobility reports: Insights from multi-criteria decision making

Social distancing (SD) has been critical in the fight against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). To aid SD monitoring, many technology companies have made available mobility data, the most prominent example being the community mobility reports (CMR) provided by Google. Given the wide range of research fields that have been drawing insights from CMR data, there has been a rising concern for methodological discussion on how to use them. Indeed, Google recently released their own guidelines, concerning the nature of the place categories and the need for calibrating regional values. In this work, we discuss how measures developed in the field of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) might benefit researchers analyzing this data. Concretely, we discuss how Pareto dominance and performance measures adopted in MCDM enable the mobility evaluation for (i) multiple categories for a given time period and (ii) multiple categories over multiple time periods. We empirically demonstrate these approaches conducting both a region- and country-level analysis, comparing some of the most relevant outbreak examples from different continents. Bakanae disease,caused by Fusarium fujikuroi,poses a significant threat to rice production and has been observed in most rice-growing *** disease symptoms caused by different pathogens may vary,including elongated and weak stems,slender and yellow leaves,and dwarfism,as *** disease is likely to cause necrosis of diseased seedlings,and it may cause a large area of infection in the field through the transmission of ***,early disease surveillance plays a crucial role in securing rice *** monitoring methods are both time-consuming and labor-intensive and cannot be broadly *** this study,a combination of hyperspectral imaging technology and deep learning algorithms were used to achieve in situ detection of rice seedlings infected with bakanae *** data were obtained on the 9th,15th,and 21st day after rice infection to explore the physiological and biochemical performance,which helps to deepen the research on the disease *** data were obtained over these same periods of infection,and a deep learning model,named Rice Bakanae Disease-Visual Geometry Group(RBD-VGG),was established by leveraging hyperspectral imaging technology and deep learning *** on this model,an average accuracy of 92.2%was achieved on the 21st day of *** also achieved an accuracy of 79.4%as early as the 9th *** characteristic wavelengths were extracted to increase the feasibility of using portable spectral equipment for field ***,the model offers an efficient and non-destructive surveillance methodology for monitoring bakanae disease,thereby providing an efficient avenue for disease prevention and control.

Size dependence of ferromagnetism in gold nanoparticles: Mean field results

In this paper, a simple spin-spin Ising interaction model for the surface ferromagnetism is combined with the bulk Au diamagnetic response to model the size dependence of the magnetization of a Au nanoparticle. Using the maximum entropy formalism, we obtain the average temperature dependent magnetization within a mean field model. Our results qualitatively reproduce recent experimental observations of size-dependent magnetization of Au nanoparticles in which the ferromagnetic moment of thiol-capped nanoparticles is seen to increase for diameters larger than 0.7nm, peaking at approximately 3nm, and subsequently decreasing as the particle diameter increases further.

Recently synthesized porous 12-atom-wide armchair graphene nanoribbons (12-AGNRs) exhibit tunable properties through periodic porosity, enabling precise control over their electronic, optical, thermal, and mechanical behavior. This work presents a comprehensive theoretical characterization of pristine and porous 12-AGNRs based on density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics simulations. DFT calculations reveal substantial electronic modifications, including band gap widening and the emergence of localized states. Analyzed within the Bethe-Salpeter equation framework, the optical properties highlight strong excitonic effects and significant absorption shifts. Thermal transport simulations indicate a pronounced reduction in conductivity due to enhanced phonon scattering at the nanopores. At the same time, MD-based mechanical analysis shows decreased stiffness and strength while maintaining the structural integrity. Despite these modifications, porous 12-AGNRs remain mechanically and thermally stable. These findings establish porosity engineering as a powerful strategy for tailoring graphene nanoribbons' functional properties, reinforcing their potential for nanoelectronic, optoelectronic, and thermal management applications.

modeling of diffusion of adsorbates through porous materials with atomistic molecular dynamics (MD) can be a challenging task if the flexibility of the adsorbent needs to be included. This is because potentials need to be developed that accurately account for the motion of the adsorbent in response to the presence of adsorbate molecules. In this work, we show that it is possible to use accurate machine learning atomistic potentials for metal−organic frameworks in concert with classical potentials for adsorbates to accurately compute diffusivities though a hybrid potential approach. As a proof-of-concept, we have developed an accurate deep learning potential (DP) for UiO-66, a metal− organic framework, and used this DP to perform hybrid potential simulations, modeling diffusion of neon and xenon through the crystal. The adsorbate−adsorbate interactions were modeled with Lennard−Jones (LJ) potentials, the adsorbent−adsorbent interactions were described by the DP, and the adsorbent−adsorbate interactions used LJ cross-interactions. Thus, our hybrid potential allows for adsorbent−adsorbate interactions with classical potentials but models the response of the adsorbent to the presence of the adsorbate through near-DFT accuracy DPs. This hybrid approach does not require refitting the DP for new adsorbates. We calculated self-diffusion coefficients for Ne in UiO-66 from DFT-MD, our hybrid DP/LJ approach, and from two different classical potentials for UiO-66. Our DP/LJ results are in excellent agreement with DFT-MD. We modeled diffusion of Xe in UiO-66 with DP/LJ and a classical potential. Diffusion of Xe in UiO-66 is about a factor of 30 slower than that of Ne, so it is not computationally feasible to compute Xe diffusion with DFT-MD. Our hybrid DP−classical potential approach can be applied to other MOFs and other adsorbates, making it possible to use an accurate DP generated from DFT simulations of an empty adsorbent in concert with existing classical potentials for ads

Stochastic Dynamics and Probability Analysis for a Generalized Epidemic Model with Environmental Noise

In this paper we consider a stochastic SEIQR (susceptible-exposed-infected-quarantined-recovered) epidemic model with a generalized incidence function. Using the Lyapunov method, we establish the existence and uniqueness of a global positive solution to the model, ensuring that it remains well-defined over time. Through the application of Young’s inequality and Chebyshev’s inequality, we demonstrate the concepts of stochastic ultimate boundedness and stochastic permanence, providing insights into the long-term behavior of the epidemic dynamics under random perturbations. Furthermore, we derive conditions for stochastic extinction, which describes scenarios where the epidemic may eventually die out, and V-geometric ergodicity, which indicates the rate at which the system’s state converges to its equilibrium. Finally, we perform numerical simulations to verify our theoretical results and assess the model’s behavior under different parameters. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
