Twitter is currently used as one of the applications that is often used to convey opinions or unrest by the public such as the current issue that is currently rife, namely regarding the increase in fuel oil prices (BBM) in Indonesia. With so much data scattered in a tweet that only consists of a few fragments of words, there must be valuable information or meaning that Twitter users want to convey. Text mining is a very appropriate method to do the analysis because in text mining there is a method that focuses on an opinion which will be concluded into positive and negative opinions. There are several algorithms that are most often used in data mining, namely K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, and Naive Bayes. The three algorithms used in this study were also compared with the use of feature selection Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) which is well known for improving the performance of algorithms. There are 2165 negative opinion data and 2835 positive sentiment data. The data will be tried based on distinctive sums of data namely 1000 data, 3000 data, and 5000 data. The classic K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm obtained an accuracy result of 75.60% and made it the best when tested with 1000 data. The use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is proven to improve accuracy as when tested using 3000 data with an accuracy value of 78.21% on the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. In the mean time, in testing 5000 Data, the classic K-Nearest Neighbor once more gotten the most elevated exactness with a esteem of 74.02%.

Cloud robotics and Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) applications are revolutionizing the field of rehabilitation and e-Health by enabling remote operation of assistive devices without interruption. This work presents a cloud-based BCI system designed to train individuals to control a wheelchair using brain signals. The work focuses on evaluating the Quality of Service (QoS) for the cloud-based BCI by studying the impact of communication parameters, Message Loss Rate (MLR), latency, and jitter, on system performance. The results show that a higher MLR significantly reduces Accuracy (ACC) and Information Transfer Rate (ITR) while increasing CPU and RAM usage. Latency also negatively affects ACC and ITR, with a slight increase in resource consumption, whereas jitter has minimal impact on these metrics. The proposed system demonstrates the importance of cloud robotics in providing continuous support and monitoring, significantly improving rehabilitation and independence for individuals with severe motor impairments. This research is crucial for developing efficient and user-friendly BCI systems for e-Health and cloud robotics applications.

Tire inspection is essential for ensuring the safety and efficiency of land vehicles, such as cars and trucks. Reg-ularly checking tire tread depth helps prevent accidents like aquaplaning and reduced braking performance, and also lowers fuel consumption. Traditional estimation methods, like depth gauges, are time-consuming, especially for vehicles with multiple tires, and often imprecise due to the rounded shape of some tire treads. To address these challenges, a portable device is proposed, consisting of cameras, microcontrollers and lasers, capable of quickly capture the tire tread shape. The proposed device connects to an Android application via WiFi, offering the user a graphical interface to conduct tire tread inspections on vehicles. The device retrieves the images from the cameras and uses an artificial intelligence model to estimate the tire treads shape, which are highlighted by lasers. At the end, the device provides the tire tread depth estimation in millimeters, allowing the user to determine if the tire is still functional or not. The proposed device significantly reduces the inspection time per tire by 69.46% compared to traditional depth gauges, with a tread depth estimation error of 0.112 millimeters. The proposed device can be integrated into tire management and maintenance companies to enhance the efficiency of tread inspection processes. This innovation offers significant benefits in both scientific and economic contexts, improving overall quality control and productivity in tire inspection process.

The use of the federated learning technique has grown in the medical field of diagnostic imaging, with a large number of publications and applications in clinical practice. However, the lack of knowledge of the training data by the central server and the clients among themselves raises concerns about the local composition of the databases, raising questions about the occurrence of image artifacts and their impact on the final performance of the global model. Using databases with a selection of areas of interest for mammograms distributed in an unbalanced way to 03 clients, simulations of mammography image artifacts were proceeded, with their insertion in the databases on different scenarios. An open access convolutional neural network model (EfficientNetB7) was adapted to classify the images regarding the presence and suspicion of microcalcifications according to the BI-RADS system. By measuring the F1-score, the performance of the neural network was verified without the presence of artifacts, after the insertion of artifacts and after the exclusion of images with artifacts. The results showed an improvement in the performance of the central model when opting to keep the images with artifact in the training databases.

To improve safety and efficiency of land vehicles, such as cars and trucks, frequent tire inspections are necessary. Regular checks of tire tread depths help prevent accidents and enhance fuel efficiency. However, traditional methods for estimating tread depth, like depth gauges, can be both time-consuming and imprecise, especially for vehicles with multiple tires. In this paper, we propose a novel portable embedded Digital Processing System (DPS) device that utilizes linear image sensors (CCDs) and active illumination to estimate the depths of all tire treads at once. The device features a microcontroller that configures the linear sensor's parameters and collects its readings. The microcontroller communicates with an Android device via a serial connection to transfer the data for processing. Additionally, the Android application offers visual feedback to the user, enabling them to conduct tire inspections on vehicles. Both the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and the device case are designed in our laboratory, with the case being 3D printed. The proposed device achieves an error of 0.115 millimeters in tread depth estimation and consumes only 22.15% of the time required by the traditional depth gauge to estimate all the tread depths of a tire. The integration of the proposed device into tire manufacturing companies can significantly enhance the efficiency of tread inspection processes. This innovation not only improves overall quality control and productivity in tire inspection but also offers substantial benefits in both scientific and economic contexts.

Osmolytes play a critical role in enhancing the stability and activity of enzymes for industrial applications. This study systematically investigated the effects of various osmolytes on the activity, optimal pH, temperature, stability, metal ion effects, storage, and acrylamide mitigation performance of L-asparaginase from the thermophilic Geobacillus kaustophilus (GkASNase). The experimental findings were further supported by computationally integrated tools such as homology modeling, docking, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Among the selected osmolytes (maltose, sorbitol, trehalose, glycine, and sucrose), GkASNase showed the highest stability during 30 days of storage in the presence of maltose and arginine. Maltose increased GkASNase activity approximately 2-fold at 37 °C and 55 °C. In the presence of osmolytes, the Km values of GkASNase decreased and the Vmax values increased compared to controls at 37 °C and 55 °C. In the presence of osmolytes, the acrylamide mitigation performance of GkASNase increased by 1.7-fold in a 15 min reaction. The computational analysis indicates that L-asparagine as substrate enhances protein compactness and stability, while arginine as osmolyte increases flexibility and optimizes water distribution around the enzyme. These findings provide novel insights into enzyme stabilization that have implications for therapeutic and biotechnological applications. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication can considerably improve the efficiency and safety of autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADASs). However, V2X communication can be considerably degraded in the presence of cyberattacks, such as radio jamming. Traditionally, beamforming techniques can be applied to increase the signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR). This paper evaluates broadband beamforming in the mmWave spectrum against radio jamming in V2X communication. The exploitation of the mm Wave spectrum in 5G-V2X communication has a natural advantage against radio jamming. First, attenuation is stronger in the mmWave spectrum in the range of 40 GHz or higher than in the traditional 5.9 GHz. Second, to generate broadband radio jamming, the radio jammer requires much more complex hardware and energy consumption. Third, by using broadband beamforming, broadband radio jamming can be considerably attenuated, limiting the degradation of the spectrum by the radio jamming. According to our numerical results, gains of close to 30 dB SINR can be achieved. We propose a broad-band beamforming technique based on the canonical polyadic decomposition via generalized eigenvalue decomposition (CPD-GEVD). The CPD-GEVD broadband beamforming outperforms state-of-the-art beamforming algorithms in most V2X scenarios presented in this paper.

In recent years, digital technologies have been used to support discussions about the city and also to involve citizens in participatory public processes. However, despite the widespread use of social media platforms, old issues related to engagement and participation still persist in digital initiatives. The main goal of this study is to carry out an empirical evaluation of a collective intelligence model that combines crowdsourcing and social storytelling to support discussions about the city from a bottom-up perspective. Within a design science research approach we designed a participatory action study that was carried out through a workshop with students and professionals from different areas, such as architecture, urban design and information technology. As a result, we were able to assess whether the collective intelligence model was acceptable to the participants by investigating whether the behavioral assumptions were valid and thus outlining some contributions to the field of urban informatics. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, we report on new findings about the results of an empirical study which aims to investigate how the COVID-19 pandemic has been shaping nomadic work practices and also challenging the lifestyles of digital nomads (DN). To do this, we collected textual data from posts in a Reddit community. We argue that, in order to understand how to design technical solutions for the so-called 'new normal' working conditions, one way to approach this is to understand how digital nomads are being impacted in their work practices and routines, and also how they are seeing the future of their technology-mediated work-life space. Finally, we show how evidence collected from DNs about their experiences and difficulties perceived during the pandemic period can inform CSCW researchers worldwide about future design-oriented strands. © 2022 IEEE.

The current deployment of optical fiber networks in several major cities in Indonesia is intensive. Development of fiber as the backbone or last mile for special services and almost all of us have encountered. Maybe one of them is a network deployment studio in one of the Apartment Projects in Depok City. The population of Depok reaches 4% per year higher than the national growth, the number of students and students who reach more than 80 thousand who live in Depok from only 2 campuses namely the University of Indonesia and Gunadarma University make the residential business growth both in the form of residential horizontal (boarding rooms) ) or vertical residential (Apartment). Developers are competing to build Apartments which, of course, are potential new revenue and new markets for Internet & Pay-TV Providers. The problem of the length of time the deployment of network infrastructure, traffic is not taken into account and still prioritizes the quality and cost that remains efficient become an issue of concern to the Provider. Blown Fiber is a new technology with four main components namely products, blowing devices, optical fiber bundles, and terminating/connecting hardware. This technology results in more cost-efficient, more flexible designs, better work costs in installation, termination and cheaper testing compared to conventional optical fiber deployment technology. The implementation of Blown Fiber in a deploying studio in one of the Apartments in Depok specifically on the Out Site Plan (OSP) turned out to provide convenience and acceleration in terms of network deployment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
