Health Sector is depending on interoperability between systems. Health systems are fragmented and even so need to produce valuable outcomes including social engagement and a better government-citizen relationship aiming to improve the quality of access, patient care, and transparency generating accurate indicators for managers and health professionals and also for patients. The low-carbon steel alloy (St60 steel) consists of steel (Fe) and elements such as carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphor (P), and others. This research aimed to analyze the corrosion rate of steel St. 60 by nickel coating in a corrosion test using 4M concentrated H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) with soaking solution for 60 minutes, 120 minutes, 180 minutes, and 240 minutes respectively. This research obtained by weighing the samples to find the weight losses after corrosion which resulted of 31.8 mg, 104.0 mg, 318.1 mg, and 575.4 mg for samples in 60 minutes, 120 minutes, 180 minutes, and 240 minutes soaking duration respectively. The corrosion rate calculation showed relatively significant weight losses. The average weight loss from the specimens in soaking time of 60 minutes, 120 minutes, 180 minutes, and 240 minutes were 0.0203 mm/year, 0.0320 mm/year, 0.0642 mm/year, and 0.0893 mm/year. The highest corrosion rate process was found in the soaking duration of 240 minutes, with the value of 0.0893 mm/year. The significant weight loss meant that soaking duration greatly influences the corrosion rate with the conclusion of longer duration resulted in a high corrosion rate and vice versa. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The aviation industry has a significant impact on the environment, accounting for 13% of global fossil fuel consumption and 2% of annual CO 2 emissions. One of the factors that increase this consumption is engine degradation due to the accumulation of dirt on compressor blades. To mitigate this effect and restore efficiency, compressor washing is essential, but it requires high water consumption. This study analyzes the operational, economic, and environmental benefits of optimizing this process, based on the Blue Economy. Fuel efficiency was assessed using the Fuel/RTM indicator, financial viability using ROI, and environmental impacts using the MIF index. The results indicate a 1.8% gain in fuel efficiency, annual savings of $179,000, a 6.9% reduction in environmental impact, and a 50% drop in water use. The findings demonstrate that sustainable maintenance practices generate economic and environmental gains, contributing to the conservation of water resources in aviation.

Additive manufacturing is one of the pillars of Industry 4.0 and has been revolutionizing the global market through highly technological and groundbreaking products. One example is the use of additive manufacturing (AM) applied to the construction industry through 3D printing (3DP), which allows greater freedom in the development of new projects, with the use of more complex concrete geometric shapes, greater quality control., and less wasted material. The objective of this paper was to analyze how additive manufacturing, with the help of 3D printing, can help the evolution of civil construction. For this, a systematic literature review of articles published in journals between the years 2015 and 2021 was performed. After the final extraction, a total of 24 articles from 15 countries were identified. It was noticed that even in the face of all the potentials of 3D printing technology for civil construction, its development must be advanced in the coming years, especially in emerging countries like Brazil.

In this work, a weft-knitted fabric produced from 100% meta-aramid (MA) fibre was functionalized by using polyelectrolyte, Poly (diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA), in order to modify its surface for dyeing with an uncommon dye class for MA fibres. Contact angle, dye solution drop adsorption, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), reflectance spectrophotometry, washing and rubbing fastness tests were performed to study the effects caused by the interaction between PDDA and MA fabric. Good results of dyebath exhaustion with excellent values of colour strength were obtained for the samples previously treated with PDDA. These results showed the possibility of obtaining distinct and deep colours besides generating a lower energetic cost using shorter time and lower dyeing temperature as compared to those normally used in the MA dyeing process. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

The purposes of this research are 1) Identify the duties and 2) tasks of welders in medium-scale welding industries. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The research objects are 4 welders and 3 supervisors/chief productions from two medium-scale car body industries in Magelang, Indonesia. The data collection techniques used are documentation, observation, and interview. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and DACUM research chart which are validated by an expert's judgment. This research manages to identify (1) six kinds of duties (plan the job, machinery and equipment preparation, material welding, inspect welding results, fix welding results, maintain machinery and equipment) and (2) seventeen kind of tasks that are executed by welders in medium-scale car body welding industries, twenty three knowledge and skills, nine working attitudes that should be owned by a welder, and at least nineteen kind of machines and supporting equipment in which the operation should be mastered by a welder in medium-scale welding industries. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A basic problem of learning through online media during the COVID-19 is a lack of attractive learning models, so that it can reduce students' creativity and learning motivation. The application of the project-based learning model is one of the models which can overcome problems of creativity and student learning motivation in online learning. This study aimed to examine the effect of implementing a project-based learning model to increase students' creativity and online learning motivation in the creative products and entrepreneurship subject in the automotive vocational major. One of the Quasi-experimental research, Pretest-Posttest Control Group design was applied. A total of 146 vocational education students in the automotive department were selected to be involved as research samples. The observation method was used to collect data on creativity and learning motivation at the pretest and posttest using an instrument that was arranged based on the indicators in the dependent variable. The collected data were analyzed through paired sample and independent sample t-test, which were first tested for analysing prerequisites then finding mean difference. The results of data analysis showed that the project-based learning model application was proven to be significant in increasing students' creativity and online learning motivation in the creative products and entrepreneurship subjects. The learning model is significantly superior to the previous conventional model. The project-based learning model is very important to be applied in online learning in the automotive department, particularly in the creative products and entrepreneurship subject.

The critical minerals industries in Indonesia may pose possible environmental and human health risks due to the release of pollutants into soil, water, and air, as well as the use of materials and energy. This study investigates the possible environmental and human health impacts of Indonesia's nickel, gold, copper, tin, and bauxite mining and processing industries. This study utilizes the latest version of the OpenLCA software, version 2.0, in combination with the Ecoinvent 3.8 database. To evaluate potential environmental consequences and health effects on humans, CML-IA Baseline and Environmental Priority Strategies (EPS) are employed in product development. The EPS system was developed utilizing a hierarchical methodology with the objective of furnishing the product developer with data regarding the financial impact of human health impairment resulting from a particular product development. The production of one tonne of gold, nickel, bauxite, tin, and copper results in the emission of 7.34.E+07, 4.61.E+04, 3.10.E+04, 1.02.E+04, 8.01.E+03 kg CO₂ eq/t, respectively, contributing to global warming. This production is associated with asthma cases of 7.79.E+01 (gold industry), 2.21.E−03 (copper industry), 1.81.E−03 (tin industry), 9.21.E−04 (nickel industry), and 4.71.E−06 (bauxite industry) Personyears/t. Electricity consumption and the release of carbon dioxide are the main factors contributing to global warming. The primary cause of asthma cases is the utilization of fuel oil and electricity. Power plant chimneys can employ various technologies, such as cyclones, bag filters, and scrubbers, to mitigate the release of polluting gas emissions. The critical mineral industry must prioritize handling and governing of steam power facilities to minimize their negative effects on the environment and human health. © 2024 The Authors

Trend of LiDAR utilization in disaster resilience: A literature review

Research on the Geographic Information System (GIS) application in disaster response, prevention, mitigation, and management has been rife since the mid-1990s. Advanced data collection technologies for GIS analysis, such as LiDAR, is becoming increasingly popular. A combined link, time series, and trend analysis is used in this research to generate a web of keywords rooted in the main three: ‘LiDAR’ ‘GIS’ and ‘Disaster’ and the categorization of themes and trends of research articles published during the past decade from reputable publishers. The Scopus, Copernicus and Google Scholar search engine displays 222 links to a combination of the keywords LiDAR, GIS, and Disaster that explain the utilization of LiDAR together with GIS/remote sensing applications in disaster-related articles. The most relevant 80 documents covering journal articles and working papers were considered for in-depth analysis after selection processes using PRISMA method. The analysis result is then presented clearly in a comprehensive diagram of how from time to time the utilization of LiDAR technology for the four stages of disaster resilience. The results of the analysis also show how the use of LiDAR technology with GIS/Remote sensing applications and their limitations. The result is expected to benefit researchers in identifying research gaps in the topic for further pursuit, also policymakers, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders who oversee implementing required measures both during and after disasters should pay more attention to big data.

Technological advances have led to a proportional increase in the deposition of contaminants across various environmental compartments, including water sources. Heavy metals, also known as potentially toxic metals, are of particular concern due to their significant harmful impacts on environmental and human health. Among the available methods for mitigating the threat of these metals in water, solar radiation–based technologies stand out for their cleanliness, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency in removing or reducing the toxicity of heavy metals. The performance and productivity of these methods in removing heavy metals such as arsenic (As), chromium (Cr), mercury (Hg), and uranium (U) from water still need to be comprehensively synthesized. Thus, this work aims to address that gap. The performance, potential, and challenges of real-world applications of conventional solar stills (CSS), membrane-based solar stills, and solar heterogeneous photocatalysis are concisely summarized and critically reviewed. CSS and membrane-based stills are highly effective (efficacy > 98%) in removing and capturing heavy metals from water. However, structural and functional improvements are needed to enhance productivity (especially for CSS) and usability in real-world environmental remediation and drinking water supply scenarios. Solar heterogeneous photocatalysis is highly effective in removing and/or converting As, Cr, Hg, and U into their non-toxic or less toxic forms, which subsequent processes can easily remove. Further research is necessary to evaluate the safety of photocatalytic materials, their integration into scalable solar reactors, and their usability in real-world environmental remediation applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.
