This paper presents a comprehensive review of deep learning methods for the Big Five personality traits prediction using multi-task classification. The purpose of the review is to determine the performance of models developed in previous research to describe research opportunities and challenges in the future. The Big Five model is a framework in psychology that categorizes human personality into five dimensions: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. The review begins by analyzing 22 articles from the Science Direct, IEEE Xplore, and Scopus databases by applying screening using the Big Five Personality keywords. Then study the concepts of deep learning for model development such as: input, architecture, method, dataset, and performance to identify the strengths and limitations of each approach. The review results of the highest average accuracy by modality such as unimodal text with essay dataset (80.98%), unimodal image with ImageNet dataset (95.36%), unimodal audio with SSPNet dataset (79.48%), bimodal image and audio with Chalearn Video First Impression dataset (91.67%), multimodal text, image, and audio with Chalearn Video First Impression dataset (91.88%). The average accuracy of the Big Five Personality traits was highest (95.36%) and lowest (59%). This highlights the need for standard benchmarks, interpretable models and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve the accuracy, reliability and ethical implications of personality prediction. Future research is expected to pave the way for advancements in understanding human personality through deep learning approaches using other modalities such as EEG, GSR, and PPG. © 2024 IEEE.

This study aims to identify the types of analogy approaches required in learning physics and analyze physics scores of students based on gender and parent's occupation. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data is in the form of primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire, while secondary data were from a teacher. Meanwhile, the qualitative data were collected using an open questionnaire. Quantitative analysis use using non-parametric statistics (Mann-Whitney) with the help of IBM SPSS version 24, while qualitative analysis is descriptive. The results of the study (with a significance of 0.05) showed that gender (sig.-value = 0.584 for PA and 0.874 for physical grades, greater than 0.05) and the type of work of parents (sig.-value = 0.303 for PA and 0.528 for physics scores, greater than 0.05) did not affect student responses about the analogy approach and to the students' physics scores. Meanwhile, the the open questionnaire results generally stated that the students were happy, interesting, motivated, easier, clearer, more meaningful, more understanding of concepts, effective, and efficient in learning physics. The recommendation is that this analogy approach needs to be developed on other physics concepts and implemented in physics learning. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Critical thinking skill is one of the essential skills needed in the 21st century. Besides being improved through a learning process, critical thinking skill also can be acquired through the evaluation. This study aims to determine the validity and reliability of a critical thinking skill instrument. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model and a quantitative descriptive analysis. The participant of the study are fifty 2nd semester students majoring in physics and Chemistry. This test consists of sixteen reasoned multiple-choice items. The data are collected by using test and questionnaire. Expert validation shows that this instrument is well categorized with a percentage of 90%. This result shows that the instrument is reliable with a reliability of 0.71. The implementation shows that students' critical thinking skill is low with a score 10.1 out of 64. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Technological and economic developments through the industrial revolution 4.0 motivate the Indonesian education sector to prepare students for this challenge. One of the efforts is to use STEM-based learning. Existing activities and research have demonstrated interdisciplinary integration in STEM education, but it is not clear yet. Besides, STEM education needs to be suited to Indonesian Policy and Curriculum related to science, technology, and mathematic. Thus, STEM education practice needs a conceptual framework. We use the literature review method. We examine education policy in Indonesia and research related to STEM education to create a conceptual framework for STEM education. The result is a proposed conceptual framework that suggests the practice of STEM education must know and maintain the principles of science, technology, and mathematics based on the characteristic of the Indonesian Curriculum. Also, the practice of STEM education needs to pay attention to the interrelationship of the four STEM disciplines, involve the engineering design process, involve the community of practice, and use a supportive learning model. Although this conceptual framework is theoretical, it could be useful in deciding a sufficient practice of STEM Education in Indonesia and designing appropriate activities in practising integrated STEM Learning. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to analyze students critical thinking ability in Static Fluid material. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 1 in Senior High School 1 Kerajaan for the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 30 students. Data analysis was carried out through a test of critical thinking ability in the form of description questions. The test instrument used was 7 items based on the indicators of Ennis 'critical thinking ability (1995) which had been validated by expert lecturers. From the analysis of the results of students' critical thinking ability using a model scientific inquiry In the Static Fluid material the average value was 79.52, and after being converted it was in the good category. Of the 30 students of class XI MIPA 1, 15 students (50%) have very good critical thinking ability;as many as 14 students (46.7%) have good critical thinking ability;and as many as 1 student (3.3%) had enough critical thinking ability. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the scientific inquiry model can improve the critical thinking ability sof class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Kerajaan students. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are becoming the future type of power plant to meet the electrical energy needs of buildings. The open roof of the building facing the sky has the potential to harvest energy from solar energy. The roof of the Faculty of Engineering Laboratory Building at Riau University has the potential to be used to capture solar energy. In this study, the research is focused on designing a comprehensive solar PV system that adapts to the geographical conditions of the campus. The data was calculated using software to design and analyze the rooftop PV system. Meteorological data was collected using an automatic weather station (AWS). The data measured through the AWS includes solar irradiation, temperature, humidity, and wind speed. The data is sampled once every 5 minutes, resulting in 12 data points per hour. The amount of data for one day is 12 multiplied by 24 hours. The total data for one month is obtained by multiplying the daily data by the number of days in the month. In details of this study, the PV panels were installed on the roof space of the Laboratory Building which is grid-connected. In addition, detailed technical analysis including effective roof area, roof orientation, number of panels and power capacity of the proposed PV were analyzed. As the result an effective roof area of 1,510.500 m2, the total number of panels of 656 pieces, the total power capacity of 229,600 Wp, and the total amount of energy generated by the module array of 160,545 kWh per year were achieved respectively. The energy delivered to the grid amounted to as much as 155,414 kWh per year. The specific energy generated was 677 kWh/KWp/year and the Performance Ratio (PR) reached 82%. © 2024 IEEE.

This study aims to examining the effect of 1) the causalitic-learning model (CLM) on reasoning-ability (RA), 2) creativity on RA, and 3) the interaction between the CLM and creativity on RA. This research is quasi-experimental with a 2x2 factorial design. The population is all students of class X-IPA. Sampling uses purposive-technique with consideration of the ability and support of parents in facilitating students and obtained students of class X-IPA-3 (31-students) as an experimental class and class X-IPA-4 (30-students) as a control class. The data of RA and creativity were gathered by using four description-tests. This study evaluated radiation exposure during fluoroscopy-guided surgical procedures using Monte Carlo simulations. The methodology involved modeling femoral osteosynthesis scenarios, representing both the patient and the occupationally exposed individual (OEI) with a female reference phantom from ICRP Publication 145. The study included 24 simulations, categorized into posteroanterior (PA) and lateral cross (LC) projections, with tube voltages ranging from 60 to 90 kV for PA and 70 to 100 kV for LC. Protective equipment, such as aprons, suspended glass, and curtains, was tested using alternative materials to lead, including bismuth and tungsten. The results demonstrated that bismuth and tungsten exhibited varying levels of radiation attenuation efficiency compared to lead, with performance expressed as percentages relative to lead-based equipment. While certain scenarios showed that bismuth and tungsten outperformed lead in radiation protection, other scenarios highlighted their limitations. For instance, at 90 kV in the PA projection, both materials resulted in significant increases in radiation dose compared to lead. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

The causalitic learning model is a learning model and is designed based on a causalitic thinking approach (causality and analytics). Based on the research results, the causal learning model can be used as an alternative learning model that facilitates the ability to think critically, creatively, solve problems, and increase student learning motivation. The purpose of writing is to develop learning tools (student worksheets) to improve the critical and creative thinking skills of junior high school students in learning the causalitic model. The research method used is 4D which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and design. The results of this research is a special design of student-worksheets for physics learning with a causalitic-model for the material of heat and temperature for the student of junior high schools. Conclusion The resulting worksheets have unique characteristics such as loading phenomena with several elements of cause and effect, recommending the content of phenomena related to daily life, having a causality table, having space for explanations, using scaffolding, using language that is short, clear, easy to understand. understand, and use companion images of the phenomenon. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to identify preparation strategies a causalitic model of student-worksheet (SW) to improve students' creative thinking ability (CTA). This type of research is a Research and Development with a 4-D model. The research procedure refers to the stages in the 4-D model, namely the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The instrument used was the SW validation questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1 to 4. The data were obtained from the SW validation by a validator consisting of 2 expert lecturers and 3 high school physics teachers. The validation result is 86% with very valid criteria. Based on the values and validation criteria, the causal model SW to improve the creative thinking ability of students is suitable for use in learning. The SW preparation strategy includes curriculum analysis, making needs maps, determining the SW title, basic competencies and indicators of competency achievement, central themes, and assessment tools, as well as compiling materials, and paying attention to the SW structure of the eight sets of strategies, there are three are uniques, namely the second, sixth, and eighth steps. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
