This research discusses about safety and health occupational control in Bangka Ocean KIP Timah 16 Units using some risk management methods. The methods are Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Purpose of the research is to explain safety and health occupational in KIP Timah 16 Unit it is for get the improvement of productivity work, production, welfare and comfortability workers and achievement of zero accident. The type of the research is descriptive. There are two data had collected. They are primary and secondary data. Primary data get from interview with the employees and secondary data get from K3 documents in the enter company of PT. Timah UPLB and KIP 16. Based on result of research can get some conclusions. First, to use method JHA and JSA for identification and control occupational accident.

The emergence of waste management technology innovation is able to inhibit the accumulation of waste in temporary collection sites and landfill. Innovations that have been developed in developed countries and summarized in the concept of 'Smart Waste Management' are still not able to be applied to cities in developing countries, such as Indonesia. This is because the technologies that already exist in Indonesia are still far behind by developed countries in the world. In addition to sophisticated technology, the understanding and behaviour of the community has also been more advanced in the field of waste management, which starts from the process of sorting waste in each household to the recycling process of waste to minimize the amount of waste entering the landfill. This study took place in the city of Semarang, Central Java where the area is an urban area with waste problems that must be addressed immediately. The lack of technology, especially the city-scale recycling technology makes land in the landfill increasingly unable to accommodate the production of waste that enters every day. Therefore, the aim of this study is to define the high level of application of the Smart Waste Recycling concept that has been carried out in Semarang City by utilizing the technology currently available.

This study aims to investigate the effect of fly ash content on the density, thermal conductivity, compressive strength and water absorption of Lightweight Foamed Concrete (LFC). This LFC consists of cement, water, sand, fly ash (FA) and foam. The foam is needed to to create air voids in the mixture and reduce its weight. The foaming agent which was diluted in the water was given air pressure using foam generator to produce foam. The LFC are made with water-cement ratio of 1:1 and cement-agregat ratio of 1: 4. Aggregates consisted of sand and FA varied by 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% in weight. The content offoam was 30% and 40% of the mortar volume. The increasing of foam content decreases density, thermal conductivity, and compressive strength of LFC. However, that increases its water absorption. The increasing of FA contentalso decreases water absorption, but it density, thermal conductivity and compressive strength.

Background: Diabetes is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, and affects people regardless of country, age group, or sex. Using the most recent evidentiary and analytical framework from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD), we produced location-specific, age-specific, and sex-specific estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden from 1990 to 2021, the proportion of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in 2021, the proportion of the type 2 diabetes burden attributable to selected risk factors, and projections of diabetes prevalence through 2050. Methods: Estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden were computed in 204 countries and territories, across 25 age groups, for males and females separately and combined;these estimates comprised lost years of healthy life, measured in disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs;defined as the sum of years of life lost [YLLs] and years lived with disability [YLDs]). We used the Cause of Death Ensemble model (CODEm) approach to estimate deaths due to diabetes, incorporating 25 666 location-years of data from vital registration and verbal autopsy reports in separate total (including both type 1 and type 2 diabetes) and type-specific models. Other forms of diabetes, including gestational and monogenic diabetes, were not explicitly modelled. Total and type 1 diabetes prevalence was estimated by use of a Bayesian meta-regression modelling tool, DisMod-MR 2.1, to analyse 1527 location-years of data from the scientific literature, survey microdata, and insurance claims;type 2 diabetes estimates were computed by subtracting type 1 diabetes from total estimates. Mortality and prevalence estimates, along with standard life expectancy and disability weights, were used to calculate YLLs, YLDs, and DALYs. The purpose of this study is to design a concept of energy management control system (EMCS) at the UNSADA campus, Jakarta, Indonesia by utilizing the results of the previous walkthrough audit. EMCS is an important first step by involving all parties on campus to be concerned the sustainable energy savings. The energy efficiency program utilizes the campus as an energy laboratory to identify, recommend, implement and evaluate the energy consumption, so that the expected energy efficiency targeted by the top managements can be achieved. This program is motivated by several reasons, such as; to support government policies in reducing dependence on fossil energy by implementing energy conservation programs; as a reflection of compliance with the implementation of educational service buildings (including the campus in Jakarta); a vision as the efficient campus in energy consumption that has been determined by the campus management. To achieve these goals, there are four stages to be done; the preparation, the conducting audit, the audit analysis, and the recommendation for implementation. The results provide an overview of the opportunities to save the energy consumption and to develop EMCS by involving all stack-holders on campus.

Phycocyanin is one of the pigments found in Spirulina platensis. Phycocyanin has potential as natural blue dye and antioxidant. The application of phycocyanin as food ingredient is still limited due to its vulnerability to environment. Microencapsulation can keep phycocyanin from environmental influences such as temperature, light and pH. This research aimed to determine the antioxidant activity of phycocyanin microencapsulation with carrageenan and chitosan coating material caused by the effect of thermal degradation overtime and its influence on the physical characteristics of the microencapsulation. The highest antioxidant activity of 61.48% was found in chitosan coating material that occurred at temperature of 40° with 30 minutes heat *** microcapsule with chitosan has more vibrant blue color compared to *** microencapsulation either by using carrageenan or chitosan have functional groups such as alkane, alcohol, ether and ester.

Motivation Here, we make available a second version of the BioTIME database, which compiles records of abundance estimates for species in sample events of ecological assemblages through time. The updated version expands version 1.0 of the database by doubling the number of studies and includes substantial additional curation to the taxonomic accuracy of the records, as well as the metadata. Moreover, we now provide an R package (BioTIMEr) to facilitate use of the database. Main Types of Variables Included The database is composed of one main data table containing the abundance records and 11 metadata tables. The data are organised in a hierarchy of scales where 11,989,233 records are nested in 1,603,067 sample events, from 553,253 sampling locations, which are nested in 708 studies. A study is defined as a sampling methodology applied to an assemblage for a minimum of 2 years. Spatial Location and Grain Sampling locations in BioTIME are distributed across the planet, including marine, terrestrial and freshwater realms. Spatial grain size and extent vary across studies depending on sampling methodology. We recommend gridding of sampling locations into areas of consistent size. Time Period and Grain The earliest time series in BioTIME start in 1874, and the most recent records are from 2023. Temporal grain and duration vary across studies. We recommend doing sample-level rarefaction to ensure consistent sampling effort through time before calculating any diversity metric. Major Taxa and Level of Measurement The database includes any eukaryotic taxa, with a combined total of 56,400 taxa. Software Format csv and. SQL.

The Analysis of Ground Water Availability and Utility in DKI Jakarta

As a densely-populated city, the Special Capital Region Jakarta finds that the availability of its groundwater becomes more and more critical every day. This Study analyzes the availability of ground water in Jakarta and projects it for years 2030. The methods used are system dynamics and overlay method with Geographic Information System. Based on its physical conditions, included land use changes in Jakarta, study conducted 10 sample sub-districts area in Jakarta. Study results show that the largest decrease of ground water availability occurs in Jagakarsa with 76,92% decreases in 10 years. The smallest decreases occur in Cempaka Putih with 0,8%, while the average decreases of 10 sample sub-districts area reach 34% in 10 years. The best intervention scenario conducted on the ground water availability a model show that increases of Ground water availability with the addition of the State's Drinking Water Company performance, the addition of 30% green space and the addition of groundwater taxes efficiency.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the chemical profile of extracts (aqueous and ethanol) and the essential oil of Myrocarpus frondosus Allem?o, the sensitivity of strains of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhimurium and Listéria monocytogenes, front the extracts and essential oil, by means of the microdilution method in broth, the antioxidant activity by the ABTS method, and the content of phenolic compounds present in the extracts and oil. For the preparation of extracts from plant leaves used with ethanol and water, then separated, the chemical identification of compounds was performed by high-performance liquid chromatography (CLAE-DAD) and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrum (CG/MS). With the chemical analysis of the extracts obtained the presence of the major compound rutin, and oil major compound was found germacrene B. In the microdilution method in broth, oil and extracts showed inhibition against all the bacteria tested in the concentrations 1 mg/ml to 0.25 mg/ml, except for Staphylococcus aureus at a concentration of 0.25 mg/ml of the essential oil and trans-caryophyllene. The results of Minimum Bactericidal Concentration showed that the essential oil had bactericidal activity at a concentration of 1mg/ml for all bacteria tested and trans-caryophyllene at the same concentration only for Listeria monocytogenes. In relation to the essential oil, antioxidant activity showed higher radical reduction capacity of 40.92% and the content of phenolic compounds ethanol extract showed more 12.72%. The in vitro results support the conclusion that the essential oil is very promising both in antimicrobial action as antioxidant activity and the leaf extracts on antioxidant activity.
