One of the causes of increasing greenhouse gases is the increase in CO2 emissions produced from both the industrial sector, transportation sector, and settlement sector. The settlement sector also contributes to CO2 emissions based on household activities. Research on carbon footprint from settlement activities is currently focusing on carbon footprints from household energy use both electricity and heat energy for cooking and have not taken into account the activities of vehicle fuel use, domestic waste, and water consumption. This paper aims to conduct a literature study on matters relating to the method of estimating the carbon footprint of settlement activities and influencing variables. The results of this study are a framework for estimating the more comprehensive carbon footprint of housing activities by adding private vehicle fuel consumption, waste generation, and water consumption in addition to the use of fuel for cooking and electricity use. © The Authors, published by EDP sciences, 2019.

This paper write about UNP Extinc Metric. It is new approach and methods how to calculate extinc condition for wild animals especially bilih fish from Lake Singkarak. We introduce new criteria and ombine to seven categories from IUCN. Domestic waste from households is the biggest contributor to municipal waste management. Palangka Raya City is one of the cities that faces waste problems due to lack of awareness of the citizens. The culture of dumping garbage into river bodies is common for residents who live along the river banks. This study aims to determine waste generation and the factors affecting waste generation of household in the Palangka Raya City. The measurement of waste generation was carried out in accordance with the guidelines of SNI 19-3964-1994, while the variables that are suspected to influence the waste generation were collected by the questionnaire. To find out the factors affecting waste generation, data were analyzed by multiple linear regression. Based on the results of research conducted on 48 respondents obtained household waste generation in Palangka Raya City is 0.33 kg/person/day, while significant factors affecting waste generation are concern for the environment and income levels at a 95% confidence level and the number of family members at the 99% confidence level. While the recycling knowledge, education level, house size and installed electrical power did not significantly affect waste generation. With this information, it can be calculated the needs of TPS, the needs of the transport fleet, the needs of cleaning staff and plans for controlling household waste generation in the Palangka Raya City. © The Authors, published by EDP sciences, 2019.

Osmosis membranes have been widely used in industries for water purification, wastewater treatment, and biomedical applications. However, the current membranes still have some drawbacks, such as water flow resistance and vulnerability to fouling. Therefore, the development of more efficient and durable osmosis membranes is highly necessary. In this research, the researchers used bacterial nanocellulose extracted from Sargassum sp. as a material for producing more efficient osmosis membranes. The methods used in this study were experiments with two treatments: (1) control, and (2) Bacterial cellulose with a concentration of 1.0 wt% CuO nanoparticles. The nanocellulose was produced using a high-pressure homogenizer, followed by the synthesis of acetate nanocellulose and characterization of the nanocomposite membrane functionalized with CuO nanoparticles. The membranes were characterized using FTIR and XRD analysis. Bacterial cellulose from seaweed was successfully formed with a thickness of 1-3 cm. The results of the characterization analysis showed that the formed bacterial cellulose belonged to Cellulose type I with a crystalline degree ranging from 88.7% to 85.7%. The dry osmosis membranes were analyzed based on their functional groups using FTIR. The analysis revealed changes in transmittance at the peaks of O-H at wavenumbers 3122-3414 and Cu-O at wavenumber 424-673, resulting from the addition of CuO nanoparticles and causing changes in the value of the O-H bond in bacterial cellulose.

Organophosphates are a group of chemicals that are still allowed to be used in Indonesia and much preferred by most farmers. Excessive usage of organophosphate is expected to contaminate the soil, water, plants, the environment and humans. This research was aimed to create the geospatial models of organophosphate insecticide residues which consist of Chlorpyrifos, Diazinon and Profenofos on farms of shallots production centers. The research was performed in the field of shallots production agriculture in Wanasari sub-district, Brebes Regency in March-June 2020. The extraction of multiresidue pesticides method used was the QuECheRS and the measurement of residues used the 2014 GC Shimadzu with Electron Capture Detector (ECD) which was carried out in the IAERI Laboratory. Meanwhile, the geospatial modeling of organophosphate insecticide residues was done by using the Spline Interpolation method in ArcGIS 10.4, which was carried out in Diponegoro University's CoREM laboratory. The Cantang Grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus-lanceoulatus) is a mating of the female Tiger Grouper fish (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) and the male Kertang grouper fish (Epinephelus lanceoulatus). However, in farming activities, the Cantang Grouper fish can be affected by a VNN infection. One way to deal with the VNN infection is by giving recombinant nano-vaccine from the microalga Chlorella Vulgaris. This study aims to determine the effect of recombinant nano-vaccine administration of the microalgae Chlorella Vulgaris on the growth of the fish weight, length, and eye tissue in the Cantang grouper fish (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus lanceolatus) infected with Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN). The method used in this study is experimental. The test results showed that the administration of the recombinant C. vulgaris (p-PerCv) vaccine affected the growth in length and weight of the Cantang grouper, this was because the growth in length and weight of its from the treatment group was significantly different from the control group (0.039<0.05). Known by the ANOVA test and also has a different effect on the level of damage to eye tissue both damage to hypertrophy, vacuolization, and necrosis. The results of the Tukey test showed that the treatment that had a significant effect was the T1 treatment (treatment of healthy fish +33l of recombinant C. vulgaris vaccine (p-PerCv) +8.5l of Chitosan nanoparticles).

Disaster are becoming more frequent around the world and more intense in urban areas. Central Java is the province with the largest number of disasters in Indonesia. Disaster create amount of disaster waste and sometime very huge, many times comparing to daily municipal waste generation. Government and local citizen sometimes are unable to handling disaster waste. Since effective implementation of disaster waste management (DWM) will lead quick and better recovery of living and avoid more environmental risk, high level regional government such as provincial should help. To make effective support, it is important that provincial government develop a model to monitor disaster waste generation in each regency and cities. This study aims to develop basic framework of regional model for disaster waste estimation and distribution in provincial level. This study used Central Java Province as a case study. To estimate disaster waste in Central Java, this study developed an index system as a basic model. It is about basic comparison of disaster waste generation in all central java regencies or cities. Disaster waste is associated with total disaster events. This study utilized GIS tools to express model and system. This study developed of regional model disaster waste estimation in Central Java, divided by 3 sub decades. Study result shown that in first decade 1990-1999 the highest index of disaster waste estimation is Brebes Regency. Second decade 2000-2009 the highest index of disaster waste estimation is Semarang Regency and the third decade 2010-2018 the highest index of disaster waste estimation in Cilacap Regency. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Assessing the groundwater suitability for drinking purposes around disposal area of aluminium slag waste in Jombang Regency, Indonesia– a review

Aluminum slag wastes are categorized as hazardous waste so that their disposal in the soil without any treatment can cause serious environmental problems, especially groundwater contamination. This paper aims to assess the suitability of groundwater for drinking purposes around aluminum slag waste disposal areas in SumobitoSub district and Kesamben Subdistrict, Jombang Regency. The disposal area that potentially contaminates groundwater is estimated at 31.367 m2 with a volume of 96.470 m3. This study executed a comprehensive literature review of aluminum slag waste characteristics, the environmental impact, groundwater contamination, and management. The methods were monitoring results in 28shallow wells around the disposal area using in situ measurement for parameter pH, temperature TDS, conductivity. Results show that groundwater quality in Bakalan Village, Sebani Village, Talun Kidul Village, Carangrejo Village, Kendalsari Village, and Budug Villageexceed the Indonesian standard for drinking water. This paper attempts to provide a preliminary study for decision-making in groundwater management in the affected area. Further study for the heavy metal parameter in groundwater around the disposal area needs to be conducted.

Fish waste needs to be a concern because the accumulation of fish waste will have environmental pollution. Therefore, research needs to be done to reduce the impact of environmental pollution. This study aims to treat fish waste which will be used as raw material for compost which is one of the efforts to reduce the accumulation caused by fish waste. The method used is survey, observation, and literature study. The composting process uses fish waste as a starter in the composting process. Before starting the composting is to separate fish waste from other wastes to facilitate the composting process. During composting the temperature conditions are maintained by reversing compost and color and odor changes are observed. The results showed that the levels of C-Organic;51.7%, Nitrogen;8.3%, Phosphor;4.8%, and Potassium;1.6%. From the results of C-Organic, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium tests, the levels were quite high compared to the quality of SNI compost, so compost from fish waste where the Tambak Lorok Market can be used as fertilizer. © The Authors, published by EDP sciences, 2019.
