Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a business system that supports most of the critical processes of a company. It helps maintain a unified and reliable repository of information for decision-making. Implementing an ERP is a complex project, which implies a high level of effort and investment. Although the methodologies provided by the leading ERP providers are beneficial, there is still a high failure rate in the implementation. Many authors have analyzed the factors and causes of these implementation failures. There is also research to propose new implementation models that replace the existing ones. However, there is little research on existing methodologies incorporating new concepts from other disciplines to improve them. In this research, we propose a model that complements the current methodologies and uses the best practices in project management and software engineering directly related to the issues found in the literature. We submitted it to a group of experts on the subject to validate the model based on the Delphi method. © 2022 The Authors. Published by ELSEVIER B.V.

Full-marathon and Half-marathon distances are categorized as road running. Full-marathon running is becoming increasingly popular, and Half-marathon is increasing worldwide in both sexes and all age groups. Some aspects might relate to Full-marathon and Half-marathon running performance during training and races. Technology also plays an essential role in supporting runners and running races. Technology like artificial intelligence (AI) now supports the running athlete, not only predicting performance and results. It can also be used later to help the coach generate training programs for the athlete. This research aimed to find many aspects of marathons and performance and analyze them to see if artificial intelligence could later support them. It used secondary data and a systematic literature review proposed by Kitchenham. Out of the 58 articles, 21 of them (36.21%) received a score of 1 from Q1. Additionally, 19 articles (32.76%) received a score of 1 from both Q2 and Q3. Among the 58 articles, 9 (15.52%) received a total score of 3, with all three Q1, Q2, and Q3 scores being 1. This indicates that artificial intelligence will likely support the content of these nine articles. Several factors were also discovered to be connected to marathons and athletic performance. These findings suggested that additional investigation into marathons and performance, later backed by artificial intelligence, remained pertinent and essential. © 2024 IEEE.

A semi-analytical finite element method(SAFEM),based on the two-scale asymptotic homogenization method(AHM)and the finite element method(FEM),is implemented to obtain the effective properties of two-phase fiber-reinforced composites(FRCs).The fibers are periodically distributed and unidirectionally aligned in a homogeneous *** framework addresses the static linear elastic micropolar problem through partial differential equations,subject to boundary conditions and perfect interface contact *** mathematical formulation of the local problems and the effective coefficients are presented by the *** local problems obtained from the AHM are solved by the FEM,which is denoted as the *** numerical results are provided,and the accuracy of the solutions is analyzed,indicating that the formulas and results obtained with the SAFEM may serve as the reference points for validating the outcomes of experimental and numerical computations.

Tracking a person with an onboard camera is a very difficult and perhaps technically impossible if one camera is used. In this regard, real-life projects use a series of cameras to achieve the task. The advent of camera installed drone technology has made it possible for researchers and designers to resolve the tracking issues of a single or multiple stagnant devices. This paper presents a method that makes it possible for a drone to recognize hand gestures as control mechanism and follow the person who control it. Furthermore, the method assists in drone object detection using an integrated depth camera that provides video capturing. The OpenCV and Tello were used in this project. A stabilized depth video is for use with current person trackers like the OpenCV tracker. The estimated Tello pose deduced from vision to stabilize the depth image by warping it to a virtual-static camera. This method allows the Tello to obtain not only the tracked person's position and orientation but also their full body pose, which can then be used, for instance, to recognize hand gestures and alter the Tello's behavior. This work has a potential of contributing or enhancing cutting-edge applications such as hands-free photography and videography. © 2024 IEEE.

Over the past few decades, mortality rates associated with air quality pollution have risen in numerous countries around the globe. This pollution stems from different factors such as meteorological conditions, human activities from urban industrialization, vehicular emission, and so on. Air pollution constituents such as NO2, CO, SO, and coarse and fine particulate matter for different locations have been analyzed to learn both correlation and inter-dependency for long and short terms. However, many of these studies overlook datasets collected using low-cost tools and equipment. Most of the time, datasets of this nature are marred with inconsistencies and gaps at irregular intervals. This may render the air pollutant data unsuitable. In order to test the suitability of machine learning algorithms on such dataset, this study conducts a time-series forecast analysis using the prophet algorithm. Two additional models including linear regressor and random forest regressor are trained and tested on the same dataset and a comparative analysis of the three models is performed. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

With the growing adoption of cloud computing in both public and private sector enterprises, the industry has experienced rapid expansion. To fully unlock the potential of cloud computing, efficient task scheduling becomes crucial. In cloud computing, task scheduling involves optimizing the allocation of tasks to a diverse range of resources, such as virtual machines, with the goals of reducing makespan, maximizing resource utilization, and minimizing response times. This challenge becomes even more pronounced for large-scale tasks due to the NP-hard nature of the problem. Consequently, the integration of metaheuristic algorithms into task scheduling has emerged as a solution to equitably distribute complex and diverse tasks across limited resources within acceptable timeframes. To enhance the quality of cloud computing services, this research introduces the modified white shark optimizer (mWSO) as an alternative task scheduling technique. The improved variant mWSO boosts the performance of the original WSO by introducing the following three enhancement steps: (1) introduce memory-based WSO to boost the exploitation phase, (2) propose an exploration-exploitation balance phase to enhance the exploration phase, and (3) introduce a control randomization parameter to balance exploration and exploitation properly. The mWSO is subjected to testing on both the global optimization problems from CEC2020 and cloud task scheduling problems. The experimental results of mWSO demonstrate high performance for CEC2020 competition benchmarks compared to other state-of-the-art and recent metaheuristic algorithms. In the case of the task scheduling problem, the mWSO achieved − 0.01 to 13.53% and 0.62–10.42% makespan and energy consumption reduction, respectively, for CEA-Curie workloads. For HPC2N workloads, mWSO achieved 7.27–29.53% makespan reduction and 3.52–26.08% energy savings over the compared metaheuristics. Sports science is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary science that strives to increase athletic performance and endurance. Sport science recognizes and prevents injuries. Sensors and statistics formalize Sports science. Runners need coaches and teams to support them before, during, and after the run race. Coaches generate running training plans to boost performance. Running race performances may be impacted by air pollution exposure while training, so coaches should consider limiting air pollution exposure when training. One of the external factors is Particulate Matter (PM2.5 and PM10). Sensors connecting to the Internet can record external factors and produce csv data. The foundation of supervised machine learning is the labeling process. Labeling a set of data is one of the laborious and time-consuming phases in every machine-learning application because it requires verifying the accuracy of the labels and making any necessary revisions. This research aimed to find a solution to automatically label numerous air particulate matter raw data using a rule based on parameters to reduce manual work, human errors and faster processes. This labeled data will later be used for supervised machine learning classification to support the coach in generating training programs for the runners in a Sports Information System. Based on Indonesia Air Quality index rule-based approach, labeled text data in csv has been generated and tested with PM2.5 and PM10 parameters in three scenarios with a 100% success rate. It was possible to automate the labeling process, and it explained how automation results in fast and accurate results. © 2023 IEEE.

Obstacle removal in crowd evacuation is critical to safety and the evacuation system efficiency. Recently, manyresearchers proposed game theoreticmodels to avoid and remove obstacles for crowd evacuation. Game theoreticalmodels aim to study and analyze the strategic behaviors of individuals within a crowd and their interactionsduring the evacuation. Game theoretical models have some limitations in the context of crowd evacuation. Thesemodels consider a group of individuals as homogeneous objects with the same goals, involve complex mathematicalformulation, and cannot model real-world scenarios such as panic, environmental information, crowds that movedynamically, etc. The proposed work presents a game theoretic model integrating an agent-based model to removethe obstacles from exits. The proposed model considered the parameters named: (1) obstacle size, length, andwidth, (2) removal time, (3) evacuation time, (4) crowd density, (5) obstacle identification, and (6) route *** proposed work conducts various experiments considering different conditions, such as obstacle types, obstacleremoval, and several obstacles. Evaluation results show the proposed model’s effectiveness compared with existingliterature in reducing the overall evacuation time, cell selection, and obstacle removal. The study is potentially usefulfor public safety situations such as emergency evacuations during disasters and calamities.

This research addresses the escalating threats to industrial control systems by introducing a novel approach that combines deep learning for feature selection with a robust ensemble-based classification technique to enhance anomaly detection. Our method utilizes a tailored autoencoder architecture to efficiently select features, followed by a Random Forest classifier to ensure reliable and generalizable detection of anomalies. Evaluated on the HAI Security Dataset, the proposed approach demonstrates exceptional performance, with significant improvements in detecting anomalous activities in ICS. The results highlight the method’s potential to enhance ICS security by providing a scalable and adaptable framework that evolves with emerging threats. This study not only advances cybersecurity methodologies for industrial systems but also lays the groundwork for future research, emphasizing the need for innovative and effective security solutions in the face of evolving cyber challenges. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.
