In this paper, a method of modeling the power loss of a full-bridge LLC resonant converter using the TDA (Time-Domain Analysis) method is proposed. Loss analysis based on TDA has higher accuracy than that of conventional FHA-based analysis. The proposed method shows the loss of a converter whose initial value is theoretically calculated for TDA analysis for a Full-Bridge LLC resonant converter. Also, compare the simulation value with the proposed method based on the prototype of the 10kw LLC resonant converter.

A hierarchical structure-based ramp rate control using MPC (Model Predictive control) to mitigate fluctuation of renewable energy sources and control HESS (Hybrid Energy Storage system) for Hub-station is proposed. As a key factor in the next-generation power grid systems, the structure and components of the hub station are proposed. Not only operating the hub-station stably but also increase the penetration rate of renewable energy sources, the hierarchical structure-based ramp rate control is necessary. It consists of an upper and lower-level control strategy. In the upper-level control strategy, the ramp rate control and frequency decomposition are conducted. And in the lower-level control strategy, Using the MPC technique, both SOC and power reference of the battery can be controlled. Fast and high-frequency output fluctuation components can be handled by the supercapacitor control strategy, and it supplements the power deviation from the battery control strategy as an auxiliary device. Through the proposed technique, the output fluctuation of the renewable energy source can be controlled within the limit value, and at the same time, the charge, discharge power, and SOC value of the HESS can be controlled within the specified range.

In this paper, we propose a spherical flux concentration structure for omnidirectional wireless power transfer. Omnidirectional wireless power transfer technology is a method that can transmit power to a transmitter located in arbitrary position in a two-dimensional or three-dimensional space. However, in order to improve power transfer distance in wireless power transfer system, the diameter of the coil or the number of windings must increase, thereby increasing the size of the transmitter. The transmitter structure proposed in this paper adds a ferrite core inside the transmitter coil so that the magnetic flux generated by the transmitter is directed in the position of the receiver. As a result, the flux linkage increases and the mutual inductance increases. By implementing the omnidirectional wireless power transfer system using the proposed structure, the power transfer distance can be improved by 65% compared to the existing system without increasing the size of the transmitter. Simulation shows that the proposed spherical flux concentration structure increases the mutual inductance when applied to omnidirectional wireless power transmission system.
