Fractional-order systems generalize classical differential systems and have empirically shown to achieve fine-grain modeling of the temporal dynamics and frequency responses of certain real-world phenomena. Although the study of integer-order memory element (mem-element) emulators has persisted for several years, the study of fractional-order memory elements (FOMEs) has received little attention. To promote the study of the characteristics and applications of mem-element systems in fractional calculus (FC) and memory systems, in this paper, we propose a novel universal interface for constructing floating FOMEs. When the topological structure of the interface remains unchanged, the floating fractional-order memristor (FOMR), fractional-order memcapacitor (FOMC) and fractional-order meminductor (FOMI) emulators can be realized by using the impedance combinations of different passive elements, without any mem-element emulators and mutators. When compared with previously proposed FOMEs, the proposed fractional-order mem-element emulators based on a universal interface not only feature the characteristics of floating terminals and simpler circuit structures, but can also realize all three different types of FOMEs. To explore the dynamical relationships between the mem-elements and the fractional order, we mathematically derive and analyze the maximum and minimum possible values of memductance, memcapacitance and inverse meminductance which accounts for practical design considerations when building FO systems. The memory characteristics of FOMEs are analyzed by varying their orders and stimuli frequencies. The consistency of theoretical analysis, numerical calculation and simulation results validates the correctness of our proposed emulators. © 2021, CC BY.

A simple real and reactive power (P-Q) control method based on synchronous reference DQ-axis frame theory for a grid-connected AC microgrid has been proposed in this paper which was validated using real time simulation tool real time digital simulator (RTDS). The proposed control method consisted of two control loops where proportional integral (PI) controllers have been used at the outer real and reactive power control loops to produce reference d-axis and q-axis currents respectively. Then, dq frame currents are controlled in inner closed loop using PI controllers to produce the reference voltage for generating appropriate control signals. The effectiveness of the proposed P-Q controller has been verified for the cases like load change, solar irradiation change and by changing both solar irradiation and load. Outcome of the simulation study has demonstrated the efficacy of the proposed DQ-axis synchronous reference frame based P-Q controller for real-time operation of grid-connected AC microgrid.

This paper presents a study on the possibilities of magnetron enhancement through different materials of magnetron's cathode structure. Magnetron structure is built in COMSOL to testify the performance of different content such as Barium Oxide (BaO) and Gallium Nitride (GaN). The essential procedure of getting the simulation result presented. Comparison of Electric Field (EF), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and heat density for both materials compared between each content for low power and high-frequency microwave power generation. The application of the enhancement applicable for microwave generation of 5W at 2,450MHz operation, precisely long-distance wireless mobile charging usage.

The distribution network has the characteristics of many endpoints, large quantity and wide area. The frequent failure of distribution equipment seriously affects the reliability of the system and the use of users. Regular manual maintenance every year brings unnecessary maintenance costs. In addition, different maintenance schemes have a great impact on the overall health of the power grid and user experience. The maintenance problem of distribution network is the analysis of typical stochastic problem, and it is difficult to find the best maintenance plan. This paper proposes a research method of maintenance strategy based on Monte Carlo tree search method, presents the maintenance strategy search algorithm of Monte Carlo tree. Finally, the Monte Carlo tree generation process is studied based on the total maintenance cost of three years.

A fast and precise spatial verification strategy for duplicate image retrieval

Spatial verification for duplicate image retrieval is often time-consuming and not sensitive to similar images. To address this problem, we propose a fast and precise spatial verification strategy for duplicate image retrieval. The motivation of this strategy is to use angle and scale information to filter similar images. This is because the matched descriptors of similar images are not transformed according to consistent angles and log-scales. The angle differences and log-scale differences of matched descriptors can be projected to points in two-dimensional space. Intuitively, the two-dimensional point distribution of non-duplicate images is relatively discrete, and the two-dimensional point distribution of duplicate images is relatively concentrated. Therefore, this paper utilizes the inverse cloud algorithm to calculate the discrete degree of the two-dimensional point distribution to exclude the non-duplicate images that have large fluctuation distributions. Then, the new voting algorithm can be used to re-rank the images to improve the retrieval accuracy. The experimental results showed that, compared with traditional algorithms, the new strategy was able to effectively improve retrieval accuracy without adding extra storage overhead and computational overhead. © 2020 Totem Publisher, Inc.

Full-blind delegating private quantum computation

The delegating private quantum computation (DQC) protocol with the universal quantum gate set {X, Z, H, P, R, CNOT} was firstly proposed by Broadbent et al., and then Tan et al. tried to put forward an half-blind DQC protocol (HDQC) with another universal set {H, P, CNOT, T}. However, the decryption circuit of Toffoli gate (i.e., T) is a little redundant, and Tan et al.'s protocol exists the information leak. In addition, both of these two protocols just focus on the blindness of data (i.e., the client's input and output), but do not consider the blindness of computation (i.e., the delegated quantum operation). For solving these problems, we propose a full-blind DQC protocol (FDQC) with quantum gate set {H, P, CNOT, T}, where the desirable delegated quantum operation, one of {H, P, CNOT, T}, is replaced by a fixed sequence (H, P, CZ, CNOT, T ) to make the computation blind, and the decryption circuit of Toffoli gate is also optimized. Analysis shows that our protocol can not only correctly perform any delegated quantum computation, but also holds the characteristics of data blindness and computation blindness. For the reason that existing index display systems can not reach comprehensive and friendly reflection and measurement for current power grid operation status, based on power grid dispatching and control big data platform, this paper studies the features of multiple management systems for power grid dispatching and control, then construct an index display software evaluation architecture using the layered structure. At last, over this built structure, the architecture is able to achieve multi-dimensional dynamic visualization display of various indices, which makes it more convenient to reach good effects for analysis and presentation of the power gird’s operation status, and enhance the management level of power grid dispatching and control. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

Due to the software quality demand and features of power grid, this paper presents a methodology design for software quality testing evaluation tree of power grid dispatching automation system. This design includes three quality levels, including quality domain, quality category and quality set, it also combines different software quality testing measurement to enrich quality contents in each level. Therefore, we can see that, this hierarchical structure of quality testing evaluation tree can reach its own destination and achieve its own featured properties such as well performance, stable running ability, strong compatibility and so forth, especially for power grid dispatching automation system. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

In recent decades, electrical utilities have made significant advancements in Electrical power Distribution Systems (EPDS). However, energy loss in distribution networks, particularly in 0.4 kV systems, remains a critical challenge. It is increasingly essential for countries to review and update their power loss policies to deliver electrical energy to consumers at the most feasible and economical rates. The performance of Low Voltage Distribution Networks (LVDN) often falls short, resulting in high voltage fluctuations and significant energy losses for end consumers in 0.4 kV systems. This research aims to address these issues by minimizing energy losses and enhancing the voltage profile of the 0.4 kV distribution network. Various rehabilitation techniques have been employed to significantly improve the efficiency of the LVDN. Since most energy losses are directly associated with the LVDN, two 0.4 kV distribution networks in the villages of New Kalyam and Upper Tharjial in the Mandra Sub-Division, under Islamabad Electricity Supply Corporation (IESCO), Pakistan, were selected as case studies. Field surveys were conducted in collaboration with the local utility staff to collect actual data. The analysis was performed using computer-aided tools, including the Computer-Aided Distribution Planning and Design (CADPAD) software and Energy Loss Reduction (ELR) programs. The proposed methodology is straightforward and practical. The case study results demonstrate significant improvements in the voltage profile and reductions in energy losses within the LVDN. These results have been validated and found to be within permissible standard limits, underscoring the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

software requirement analysis and design documentation are important basis for software development. The documentation quality does directly affect the quality of software development in the subsequent stage. At present, the requirement analysis and design documents are described by a natural language. These documents are usually reviewed by the document walk-through method. The illegibility and ambiguity of the text expression may cause problems such as missing requirements and logical contradictions. This paper introduces the advantages and modeling process of formalized modeling method - State Transition Matrix (STM) in detail, and proposes to use the Extended State Transition Matrix (ESTM) formalized method to model the requirements analysis and system design documents. According to the transition feature performs symbolic coding and formal description of the properties, the missing requirements and logical contradictions would be discovered in the design document, test cases and testing code could also be generated. The experimental part takes the train control system test as an example, utilized the formal verification method, judged whether there are logic errors in the document. The result shows that the method can better solve a part of logic problems and requirement vulnerabilities that cannot be found by the traditional code test method. © 2020 Computer Society of the Republic of China.
