SiC IGBT has the advantages of high withstand voltage, high operating temperature, fast switching speed and low loss. However, these characteristics lead to its encapsulated insulation system withstanding more severe electrothermal stress, causing partial discharges. ZnO-based adaptive composites are expected to play a role in power electronics packaging due to their excellent nonlinear conductivity. In this paper, 40 vol% ZnO/Silicone Rubber adaptive composites were prepared with the horizontal distance between electrodes of 50 um, 100 um, 500 um, 1 mm and 2 mm. Keithley 2410 digital source meter was adopted to measure their I-U curves. Results show that only ZnO composites with the horizontal distance between electrodes of 2 mm can't turn to the conducting state with increasing applied voltage. When the horizontal distance increases from 50 um to 1 mm, the I-U curves shift to the right, ILeakage decreases from 3.06×10-8 A to 8.03×10-9 A, and U10uA increases from 908 V to beyond 1100 V. The results were compared and analyzed by mathematical and physical models. This work provides a pregnant reference for the practical application of ZnO-based composites in power electronic packing. © 2023 SPIE.

In order to enhance the objectivity, accuracy and convenience of power quality comprehensive evaluation of distributed power supply, a new power quality comprehensive evaluation method is proposed with the increasing of large-scale new energy grid-connected and users’ demand for power quality. Firstly, the index system of power quality comprehensive evaluation is established. Secondly, in view of the one-sidedness of a single subjective and objective weighting, The subjective weight is determined by the relational analysis method, the objective weight is determined by the improved entropy method, and finally the game theory introduced into the Specific mode combination of the subjective and the objective weights to obtain the optimal combined weights of each index. Then the QUALIFLEX algorithm model is used to evaluate the power quality comprehensively. The traditional evaluation models such as radar map and cloud model are compared for reference. Finally, the power quality evaluation results obtained by this method are consistent with the actual situation, which proves the accuracy and feasibility of the proposed algorithm. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Buildings equipped with battery energy storages (BES), thermal energy storages (TES), Photovoltaics (PV), solar thermal collectors (STC) and modulating heat pumps (HP) can significantly enhance the energy management potential. The energy management systems are mainly based on self-consumption maximization (SCM) and time-of-use arbitrage (ToUA). In terms of electricity pricing, dynamic pricing policies with two, three tariff zones or real-time pricing (RTP) are mostly applied. In this study, different control algorithms based on the concepts of SCM and ToUA are evaluated for a complex energy system consisted of BES, TES, PV, STC and HPs with variable-speed compressors. The performance of the proposed energy management strategies is assessed under ToU and RTP pricing regimes. © 2022 IEEE.

Controlled islanding plays an essential role in preventing the blackout of power *** there are several studies on this topic in the past,no enough attention is paid to the uncertainty brought by renewable energy sources(RESs)that may cause unpredictable unbalanced power and the observabilit>T of power systems after islanding that is essential for back-up black-start ***,a novel controlled islanding model based on mixed-integer second-order cone and chance-constrained programming(MISOCCP)is proposed to address these ***,the uncertainty of RESs is characterized by their possibility distribution models with chance constraints,and the requirements,e.g.,system observability,for rapid back-up black-start measures are also ***,a law of large numbers(LLN)based method is em-ployed for converting the chance constraints into deterministic ones and reformulating the non-convex model into convex ***,case studies on the revised IEEE 39-bus and 118-bus power systems as well as the comparisons among different models are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed *** results show that the proposed model can result in less unbalanced power and better observability after islanding compared with other models.

High-temperature oxidation behaviour of minor Hf-dopedβ-NiAI single crystals in dry and humid atmospheres

Oxidation behaviour of undopedβ-NiAl andβ-NiAl-0.05Hf single crystals were investigated at 1100℃in 20 vol%O_(2)+Ar and 15 vol%H2O+Ar,*** contrary to the well-known beneficial effect of Hf additions on the oxidation behaviour of polycrystallineβ-NiAl,severe-scale spallation is observed forβ-NiAl-0.05Hf single-crystal alloy,especially in dry *** is proposed that the presence of the grain boundaries in the polycrystalline substrate enables proper content of Hf segregating at the grain boundaries of the oxide scale and at the scale-substrate interface,which promotes the conditions required for reactive element *** the reactive element effect of Hf does not work,its strong affinity with oxygen will accelerate the process of high-temperature ***,the absence of the grain boundaries as fast diffusion paths partially compromises the adverse influence of water vapour on cyclic oxidation resistance ofβ-NiAl single crystal,resulting in considerable suppression of the oxidation rate and less loss of protection compared with that in dry *** addition,interfacial cavities are observed in dry and humid atmospheres,which may eventually result in the spallation of the oxide scale.

Hybrid Scenario Generation Method for Stochastic Virtual Bidding in Electricity Market

Stochastic optimization can be used to generate optimal bidding strategies for virtual bidders in which the uncertain electricity prices are represented by using *** paper proposes a hybrid scenario generation method for electricity price using a seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average(SARIMA)model and historical *** electricity price spikes are first identified by using an outlier detection ***,the historical data are decomposed into base and spike ***,the base and spike component scenarios are generated by using the SARIMA-and historical data-based methods,***,the electricity price scenarios are obtained by combining the base and spike component *** studies are carried out for a virtual bidder in the PJM electricity market to validate the proposed *** optimal bidding strategies of the virtual bidder are generated by solving a stochastic optimization problem using the electricity price scenarios generated by the proposed method,the SARIMA method,and a historical data-based method,*** study results show that the proposed method is better than the SARIMA method in preserving statistical properties of the electricity price in the generated scenarios and is better than the historical data-based method in predicting the future trend of the electricity price and,therefore,can help the virtual bidder earn more profit in the electricity market.
