Theadvancementofdigital microfluidics technology has been pivotal in academic research andengineering ***,the prevailing limitation is that traditional voltage sources generate an excess of Joule heat,adversely impacting droplet ***,the power supply equipment required by digital microfluidics limits its ***,we propose a self-powered microdroplet manipulation(SMDM)via triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG),which presents a capability for spliting and mixing different kinds of ***,SMDM is based on the electroosmotic flow principle,thereby enabling droplet spliting in the range of from 2 to 630μ***,for droplet spliting in the range of from 5 to 60μL,the TENG only requires a power output ranging from 2.704 to 6.084 *** addition,SMDM demonstrates proficiency in droplet mixing,which achieves complete mixing of 10μL droplets in 60 s and 30μL droplets in a mere 53 ***,leveraging the strengths of the TENG,a self-powered microdroplet manipulated system is designed for digital *** carries significant advantages over the traditional voltage source,including self-powered,low-Joule heat,increased safety and enhanced *** research provides a new solution for portable applications of digital microfluidics.

In recent years, the popularity of network intrusion detection systems (NIDS) has surged, driven by the widespread adoption of cloud technologies. Given the escalating network traffic and the continuous evolution of cyber threats, the need for a highly efficient NIDS has become paramount for ensuring robust network security. Typically, intrusion detection systems utilize either a pattern-matching system or leverage machine learning for anomaly detection. While pattern-matching approaches tend to suffer from a high false positive rate (FPR), machine learning-based systems, such as SVM and KNN, predict potential attacks by recognizing distinct features. However, these models often operate on a limited set of features, resulting in lower accuracy and higher FPR. In our research, we introduced a deep learning model that harnesses the strengths of a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) combined with a Bi-directional LSTM (Bi-LSTM) to learn spatial and temporal data features. The model, evaluated using the NSL-KDD dataset, exhibited a high detection rate with a minimal false positive rate. To enhance accuracy, K-fold cross-validation was employed in training the model. This paper showcases the effectiveness of the CNN with Bi-LSTM algorithm in achieving superior performance across metrics like accuracy, F1-score, precision, and recall. The binary classification model trained on the NSL-KDD dataset demonstrates outstanding performance, achieving a high accuracy of 99.5% after 10-fold cross-validation, with an average accuracy of 99.3%. The model exhibits remarkable detection rates (0.994) and a low false positive rate (0.13). In the multiclass setting, the model maintains exceptional precision (99.25%), reaching a peak accuracy of 99.59% for $\text{k-value} =10$. Notably, the Detection Rate for $\text{k-value}=10$ is 99.43%, and the mean False Positive Rate is calculated as 0.214925. © 2024 IEEE.

Whether the discharge current waveform of the pulsed power supply meets the requirements of the load application is an important criterion for evaluating the performance of the pulsed power system. For some applications that require high-power and stable discharge current, finding a fast solution method for discharge sequence and obtaining a reasonable triggering sequence is the key direction of pulsed power supply research [1]-[3]. This paper proposes a sequence solution strategy based on charge equivalent. Firstly, based on the principle of equal charge amounts during the discharge process, the relationship between the current waveform and the number of discharge modules at different stages of discharge is obtained. Secondly, based on the principle that the product of the discharge current and discharge time is equivalent to the amount of charge, the discharge current waveform of each pulsed power supply module is arranged in an orderly manner according to the total discharge current waveform requirements, so as to obtain accurate triggering sequence. Finally, simulation is used to verify the above strategy. The results show that the triggering sequence obtained by the control strategy can make the discharge current meet the requirements and improve the solution efficiency. © 2024 Eindhoven University of Technology.

This paper presents novel sub-harmonic synchronous machines having series or parallel permanent magnet structures on rotors for better performance in terms of greater torque density. The stator of the machines has two sets of three-phase winding, where the additional winding is used to generate sub-harmonic magnetomotive force components for brushless operation. Similar to the stator, the rotor of them uses an additional winding to induce that sub-harmonic component. Rotor also uses a permanent magnet to improve machine performance in series or parallel hybrid structures having conventional or consequent pole permanent magnet structures. In this paper, 4 different rotors, 3 having hybrid excitation, are used and their performance is compared. To validate the performance, a 2D finite element analysis of 8 poles and 48 slots of sub-harmonic synchronous machines is carried out with different rotors. Finally, the wide-speed operation of the proposed machine is discussed. © 2023 IEEE.

This study presents a new frequency estimation unit developed for three-phase systems. The algorithm relies on equidistant sampling and demonstrates better accuracy in determining the fundamental frequency, even in distorted three-phase systems. The method involves independently acquiring five equidistant samples in αβ frames and subsequently combining them to estimate the fundamental frequency. Further, a discrete orthogonal signal generator (D-OSG) prefiltering method is integrated with the proposed frequency estimator to deal with problems caused by high distortion grid conditions. It is worth noting that the proposed frequency estimation algorithm stands out for its inherent ability to successfully mitigate the impact of harmonics. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is comprehensively assessed in the MATLAB/Simulink environment. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of electromagnetic launch technology, the performance requirements of pulsed power supply are becoming higher and higher. To improve the accuracy of the actual output current waveform in the experiment and reduce the cost of experimental testing, establishing an accurate mathematical model and conducting effective simulation to obtain accurate discharge sequence has always been the focus of research on pulsed power supply system. This paper establishes a time domain mathematical model of sequence discharge based on circuit principles and proposes a reverse fitting sequence solution control strategy based on this model. This strategy is based on the current and time equations in each discharge state obtained from the mathematical model. Adopting the principle of maximum current consistency, reverse fitting is performed to find the moment when the pulsed power supply module is incorporated into the loop. Thus, the triggering sequence is obtained. Finally, the results calculated by the mathematical model are compared with the simulation results of the circuit model to verify the effectiveness of the strategy. © 2024 Eindhoven University of Technology.

In this paper, a silicon carbide (SiC) trench bottom p shielding (P+SLD) MOSFET with assisted deep-implanted P+ (DP) region by the side (PGP-TMOS) is designed and fabricated experimentally. The P+SLD is grounded by connecting periodically to the P+ region in the direction which is perpendicular to the gate trench. The connecting is realized by using optimized layout design without the need for additional process exploration. The P+SLD together with the DP region modulates the electric field at the corner of the trench, thereby providing improved protection for the gate oxide. To demonstrate the effect of the DP region, a SiC trench bottom P+SLD MOSFET without DP region (GP-TMOS) is designed. The cell pitch of the GP-TMOS is greatly reduced due to the absence of the DP region. Numerical 2D-simulation has been carried out to study the characteristics of these two structures. Simulation results show that the peak electric field in the gate oxide (Eox,peak) for the PGP-TMOS and GP-TMOS at the drain voltage of 1200V is 1.70MV/cm and 2.22MV/cm, respectively. In addition, compared with the GP-TMOS, the Baliga figure of merit (BFOM) of the PGP-TMOS is improved by 22.90%. Test results of the experimental samples of the PGP-TMOS show that the breakdown voltage (BV) is 1400 V and the on-state resistance (Ron) is 49.7 mΩ. Furthermore, the impact of some key parameters on the PGP -TMOS structure is discussed, which provides guidance for subsequent optimization. ©2024 IEEE.

The slow conversion of polyphase in lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries not only intensifies the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs),but also causes the continuous accumulation of inactive sulfur species,resulting in rapid capacity attenuation and sluggish dynamic ***,the promoting effect of atomic interface stress on sulfur reaction was investigated via CoFe-CoFe_(2)O_(4)heterogeneous nanosheets with a cavity *** strain force induced by the in-situ precipitation of Co Fe bimetallic alloy in oxide matrix increased the d-band center,which was conducive to the interaction between catalyst and Li *** sulfur cathode based on this two-dimensional(2D)nanosheet design showed an extremely high capacity of 751 mAh g^(-1)at 4 *** with a sulfur loading of 5.55 mg cm^(-2),its area capacity was still as high as 7.15 mAh cm^(-2).Meanwhile,the enhanced stability greatly improved the practical potential of Li-S batteries.
