Long‐time target tracking algorithm based on re‐detection multi‐feature fusion

This paper considers the problem of long-term target tracking in complex scenes when tracking failures are unavoidable due to illumination change,target deformation,scale change,motion blur,and other *** specifically,a target tracking algorithm,called re-detection multi-feature fusion,is proposed based on the fusion of scale-adaptive kernel correlation filtering and *** target tracking algorithm trains three kernel correlation filters based on the histogram of oriented gradients,colour name,and local binary pattern features and then obtains the fusion weight of response graphs corresponding to different features based on average peak correlation energy criterion and uses weighted average to complete the position estimation of the tracked *** order to deal with the problem that the target is occluded and disappears in the tracking process,a random fern classifier is trained to perform re-detection when the target is *** comparing the OTB-50 target tracking dataset,the experimental results show that the proposed tracker can track the target well in the occlusion attribute video sequence in the OTB-100 test dataset and has a certain improvement in tracking accuracy and success rate compared with the traditional correlation filter tracker.

Self-organizing systems represent the next level of building automation and make it possible to reduce the manual engineering effort of automation systems. For self-organizing systems to be able to interact interoperable, the system components must be mapped by uniform digital twins and described in a semantically interoperable manner. Semantic interoperability is implemented in the current research approach of Industrie 4.0 through homogeneous semantics. However, given the large number of different manufacturers of technical components, agreement on uniform semantics seems unlikely. This paper presents a method that extends the Industrie 4.0 approach to heterogeneous semantics. Semantic interoperability is realized through the automated mapping of heterogeneous vocabularies to target semantics. Models from the artificial intelligence sub-field natural language processing are used for automated mapping. In this paper, existing models of natural language processing are compared with each other in terms of their mapping accuracy. A dataset based on the ECLASS standard is being developed as a basis for the comparison. This dataset is also being used to create new models that are fine-tuned to the target vocabulary. The results show that the mapping accuracy of existing approaches improves through fine-tuning by an average of 7.5% up to 93%. In addition to the improvement through fine-tuning, this work analyses the influence of the model size on the mapping accuracy by using large language models. Moreover, it examines the integration of structured knowledge in the form of knowledge graphs.

The remarkable successes achieved by Deep Learning (DL) in computer vision drew the attention of researchers to exploit this capability to apply it for the processing of time series and multivariate data. Thus, researcher began the development of suitable methods to transform time series signals into, images to enable the use of DL techniques to improve the classification of time series data. This paper introduces an automatic control method designed to enhance the operation of electric vehicles, besides the speed tracking objectives, by including reliability and lifetime requirements. The research considers an automotive power converter which supplies electric power to a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The primary control objective is to mitigate the thermal stress on the power electronic Insulate Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs), while simultaneously ensuring effective speed tracking performance. To achieve these goals, we propose an extended H∞ design framework, which includes reliability models. The method is tested in two distinct scenarios: reliability-aware, and reliability-free cases. Furthermore, the paper conducts a lifetime analysis of the IGBTs, leveraging the Rainflow algorithm and temperature data. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Driving Blood Glucose Concentration (BGC) from hyperglycemia to euglycemia as quickly as possible while preventing hypoglycemia has been a big challenge for Type-1 Diabetes (T1D) for decades. This study has contributed to handle this problem. In this study, a control algorithm is established that ensures the full avoidance of both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. The solution consists of a positive control law that finds the necessary hyperglycemia correction bolus in real-time to safely drive glycemia to the normal range. The action of this controller depends mainly on the amount of the pre-estimated meal. Where the estimated meal forms part of the control law. The other part is a state feedback control. The positive controller steered BGC to ensure avoiding both hyper. and hypoglycemia. This control is examined in Magdalene T1D simulator patients during a fasting-night scenario as well as a postprandial scenario. The control algorithm was tested in silico on 5 different T1DM patients in postprandial of three unknown's meal scenarios. The in silico results show that glycemia remained on average for the five T1DM patients. The percentage of glycemia in a normal range about (100 %) percent over the simulation time. No hypoglycemia where registered and time spent in hyperglycemia over the 24-hour simulation for the 5 patients was very limited. The controller showed high performance avoiding both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. © 2021 IEEE.

A by-product of the rice milling process, rice bran contains four different types of protein: albumin, globulin, prolamin, and glutelin. These proteins are widely known for being hypoallergenic and having nutritional benefits. In order to increase the value of rice bran, the protein was extracted via deep eutectic solvent (DES). Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was used to assess the impact of three operational conditions, including temperature, extraction duration, and the ratio of rice bran to DES, on the yield of rice bran protein after the precipitates were converted into powder form by freeze drying. At optimal working conditions, which were 60 °C, 2 h, and a 1:9 ratio of rice bran to DES, the method’s results showed that the highest extracted protein of rice bran was 16.254%. Several techniques, including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Kjeldahl studies, have been used to demonstrate the presence of protein in rice bran powder. In the rice bran protein (RBP), amine (1640.70 cm−1), alcohol (3229.74 cm−1), and alkane (2925.37 cm−1) were all detected using FTIR analysis. Furthermore, Kjeldahl analysis revealed that 15.61% of the rice bran powder’s protein content is present. In conclusion, rice bran’s value as a functional meal can be increased by adding protein through the use of a deep eutectic solvent called green solvent. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

BACKGROUND: Computational and data-intensive technologies such as model predictive control and artificial intelligence have the potential to increase process yields in the process industry. In modular plant designs, the flexible and difficult-to-predict use of a particular module presents the challenge of providing the right amount of data, computing power, and storage capacity to use these technologies in each ***: Simplifying the deployment and reconfiguration of compute-intensive applications for modular ***: Reviewing the current state of the art and combining the modular plant concept with a cloud-based control-as-a-Service (CaaS) ***: A cloud-based, containerized CaaS concept that supports the deployment compute- and data-intensive methods for modular plants. The complementing communication stack consisting of standards such as APL, TSN and OPC UA ***: The proposed architecture simplifies IT/OT integration, eases the deployment of compute-intensive technologies, and allows for GMP compliant pre-qualification of software modules. However, the limiting factors like plant safety, conformity to regulations and widespread architecture adoption are not covered in detail and will be subject of future research.

Magnesium (Mg) alloy has small density, large elastic modulus, good heat dissipation and corrosion resistance to organic matter and alkali. At present, magnesium alloy is more and more used in automotive industry, medical devices and aerospace industry. However, the traditional preparation method of Mg has the disadvantages of high investment, high labor intensity and great environmental pollution. Therefore, it is of great significance to develop simple, environment-friendly methods of the magnesium. In this study, urea was added to adjust the electrochemical property of the deep eutectic solvent (DES) mixed by choline chloride (ChCl) and magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2·6H2O). Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) curves reveals that the addition of urea made the reduction potential of Mg shifted from -0.9 V to -1.3 V. Among the CV curves, one was proposed as the "dividing line", which shows that the electroactive species in the two DESs, ChCl-MgCl2·6H2O and urea-MgCl2·6H2O, are different due to the changes of the component of the DESs. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) data shows the type of hydrogen bond had been changed with the increase of urea content. Furthermore, the Raman spectra indicates that Mg2+ was coordinated with urea chains, which did not exist in ChCl-MgCl2·6H2O. Moreover, it was found that urea changed the electrochemical performance of the ChCl-Urea-MgCl2·6H2O by changing the hydrogen bond in the system and coordination form of the electroactive species, rather than adsorbing onto the electrode surface. Combined with geometry calculations at the B3LYP/6-311++G (d, p), the most probable mechanism of electrodeposition process was deduced. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The shift from centralized to decentralized systems is increasing the complexity of many problems in control and optimization. However, it also presents the opportunity to exploit parallelized computational schemes. This paper shows how the solution process of mixed-integer problems, which often arise in areas like production scheduling or logistics, can be supported by employing parallel computations. To this end, dual variables are introduced that enable the decomposition of these complex problems into subproblems that can then be solved in parallel. The presented dual decomposition-based approach provides a lower bound for the optimal solution of the original problem, which can support the overall solution process. The focus of this paper is on the parallelizability of the computation of this lower bound. The bounds from three different dual decomposition- based distributed optimization algorithms are compared to the lower bounds provided by several commercial solvers within their branch-&-cut framework.
