One of the most discussed topics in industrial systems recently is human robot collaboration in part due to its importance in the design of smart factories, within the scope of Industry 4.0. This paper present a methodology to aid the creation of human robot collaborative systems and operations by providing an ontology to support the extraction of relevant operation and system requirements. By using these requirements to determine the suitability of the available resources, allocation possibilities can be identified. © 2018

作者： Narasimhan Ravichandran Sundaravalli Narayanaswami has been a faculty member in the Production and Quantitative Methods Area of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) since 1980. He has also served as the director of The Indian Institute of Management Indore. He is an MSc in Maths from Annamalai University and holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His teaching and research interests include applied probability business process re-engineering competitive strategy decision analysis entrepreneurship industry analysis and corporate strategy information technology for competitive advantage logistics and supply chain management operations management operations strategy quantitative methods in management and simulation. He has held several short-term visiting positions in many European Universities. She has a PhD in industrial engineering and operations research from IIT Bombay. Dr Sundaravalli started her career in IT services marketing and she soon moved to a production profile in an electronics equipment manufacturing industry. This research explores the development of effective corporate governance strategies for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) by evaluating both critical decision criteria and innovative organizational models. Based on an extensive literature review, seven governance criteria were identified: credibility and non-profit orientation, regular information flow and transparency, level of institutionalization, frequency of leadership turnover, internal and external stakeholder relations, annual budget, and ideological or religious motivation. In addition, five innovative organizational models were selected as strategic alternatives: continuous learning organization, technology-oriented policy development, income diversification, pluralistic governance, and transformational leadership. The empirical data were gathered through interviews with 16 experts from academia, civil society, and public institutions in Türkiye. To address the complexity and uncertainty of decision-making processes, a hybrid type-2 neutrosophic number (T2NN) multi-criteria decision-making methodology is introduced. The T2NN-ranking comparison and T2NN-criteria importance through intercriteria correlation methods are used to determine the weight of criteria, while T2NN-stable preference ordering towards ideal solution is utilized to rank the alternative models. Results show that the level of institutionalization is the most significant criterion, and income diversification is the most effective organizational model for improving NGO sustainability. The study not only provides practical guidance for NGO leaders but also introduces a robust methodological approach applicable to governance challenges under uncertain conditions.

In the contemporary world, with the incubation of advanced technologies and tremendous outbursts of research works, analyzing big data to incorporate research strategies becomes more helpful using the tools and techniques presented in the current research scenario. This paper indeed tries to tackle the most prominent challenges relating to big data analysis by utilizing a text mining approach to analyze research data published in the field of production management as a case to begin with. The study has been conducted by considering research data of International Journal of production Research (IJPR) indexed in Scopus between 1961-2017 by dividing the analysis incurred into 3 fragments being 1961-1990, 1991-2010 and finally 2011-2017 as a case to highlight the focus of journal. This has indeed provided multi-faceted benefits such as increasing the effectiveness of the procured data with well-established comparisons between R and Python programming along with providing detailed research trends on the research work incubated. The results of the study highlighted some most prominent topics in the existing IJPR literature such as "system's optimization, supplier selection, process design", etc. providing well-established details relating to ongoing research works. The study also compared both languages suiting to a particular field of study for better comprehension and vastness of the research topics. The current research work is one of the part of a copyright work with registration number "SW-10310/2018" titled "program for Analyzing Key Trends in Research Data-set". It has been designed in Python for carrying out detailed content analysis based on the available research database in bib format as in the current context it has been applied for IJPR journal and can be replicated on articles of any domain found using keyword search. To date, the use of a wide variety of materials is a result of the increasingly complex multi-material design regarding the key challenge of stricter environmental regulations in the automotive sector while facing equivalent or even enhanced technical and economic benefits. Modern joining technologies additionally contribute to this challenge, whereby technologies for structural metal structures seem to be established. Examinations – which are very costly also in terms of time – are required to ensure the feasibility of a joining technology. However, historical data is not sufficiently available for multi-material design. Hence, this research presents a novel prediction-model for an improved decision-making of joining technologies, which interpolates potentials of still untested joining technologies in the early stage of lightweight engineering.

Invisible microplastics (MP) have become a significant problem worldwide in recent years. Although many studies have highlighted the sources, effects, and fate of MPs pollution on various ecosystems in developed countries, there is limited information on MPs in the marine ecosystem along the northeastern coast of the Bay of Bengal (BoB). Coastal ecosystems along the BoB coasts are critical to a biodiverse ecology that supports human survival and resource extraction. However, the multi-environmental hotspots, ecotoxicity effects, transport mechanisms, fates, and intervention measures to control MP pollution initiatives along the BoB coasts have received little attention. Therefore, this review aims to highlight the multi-environmental hotspots, ecotoxicity effects, sources, fates, and intervention measures of MP in the northeastern BoB to understand how MP spreads in the nearshore marine ecosystem. This study critically evaluates the hotspots and ecotoxic effects of pollution from MP on the coastal multi-environment, e.g., soil, sediment, salt, water, and fish, as well as current intervention measures and additional mitigation recommendations. This study identified the northeastern part of the BoB as a hotspot for MP. In addition, the transport mechanisms and fate of MP in different environmental compartments are highlighted, as are research gaps and potential future research areas. Research on the ecotoxic effects of MP on BoB marine ecosystems must be a top priority, given the increasing use of plastics and the presence of significant marine products worldwide. The knowledge gained from this study would inform decision-makers and stakeholders in a way that could reduce the impact of the legacy of micro- and nanoplastics in the area. This study also proposes structural and non-structural measures to mitigate the effects of MPs and promote sustainable management.

With a population of 1.252 billion, India holds the second position in the world and is one of the fastest developing countries as well. However, like every good thing has to pay a certain cost, the country is now facing an alarming threat of health and environmental problems due to its poor waste management practices. This paper presents a theoretical framework of an integrated approach of solid waste management system in which a waste segregation layout is shown including waste to energy (WtE) application of the refused derived fuel formed in the process. Real-time monitoring of the segregation process and energy extraction process is done using internet of things (IoT) application. Segregation of waste before processing gives an efficient way of waste management and with this framework, one can easily monitor and acquire various information obtained during different stages of segregation and energy extraction process. © 2019 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Since the inception of Agile Manifesto and in the 15 years since agile project management (APM) has been in use, it has become a cutting-edge approach practiced, primarily although not exclusively, in the software industry. APM is slowly breaking through into other domains as well. Therefore, the objective of this study is to summarize and critically examine contributions of past research and existing knowledge concerning APM applicability beyond software industry and its co-existence with traditional project management (TPM) practice, and to identify the potential challenges and benefits of APM in innovation and new product development processes. Systematic literature review (SLR) protocol was developed to systematically locate, assess and aggregate the outcomes from all relevant studies in a transparent way. Gaps identified in this SLR will be used to suggest areas for further investigation and to provide a framework for appropriate position of future research activities.

The Generalized Reserve Set Covering Problem with Connectivity and Buffer Requirements∗

The design of nature reserves is becoming, more and more, a crucial task for ensuring the conservation of endangered wildlife. In order to guarantee the preservation of species and a general ecological functioning, the designed reserves must typically verify a series of spatial requirements. Among the required characteristics, practitioners and researchers have pointed out two crucial aspects: (i) connectivity, so as to avoid spatial fragmentation, and (ii) the design of buffer zones surrounding (or protecting) so-called core areas. In this paper, we introduce the Generalized Reserve Set Covering Problem with Connectivity and Buffer Requirements. This problem extends the classical Reserve Set Covering Problem and allows to address these two requirements simultaneously. A solution framework based on Integer Linear programming and branch-and-cut is developed. The framework is enhanced by valid inequalities, a construction and a primal heuristic and local branching. The problem and the framework are presented in a modular way to allow practitioners to select the constraints fitting to their needs and to analyze the effect of e.g., only enforcing connectivity or buffer zones. An extensive computational study on grid-graph instances and real-life instances based on data from three states of the U.S. and one region of Australia is carried out to assess the suitability of the proposed model to deal with the challenges faced by decision-makers in natural reserve design. In the study, we also analyze the effects on the structure of solutions when only enforcing connectivity or buffer zones or just solving a generalized version of the classical reserve set covering problem. The results show, on the one hand, the flexibility of the proposed models to provide solutions according to the decision-makers’ requirements, and on the other hand, the effectiveness of the devised algorithm for providing good solutions in reasonable computing times.
