Medicine adherence is a growing problem that affects not only patients but also the healthcare industry. In this short paper, we represent a brief overview of the severity of medicine non-adherence, especially to elderly patients of chronic conditions, and the reasons behind the phenomenon. A generic survey of the existing methods of interventions to aid in medicine adherence is then discussed, followed by the identification of the lacking areas that such interventions could not address. The need for a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates features of personalized medicine management towards addressing the problem is then explored, investigating the possible solutions through the establishment of concordance and instilling behavioral changes in patients through education and motivational strategies. The paper will then focus on an ongoing research and development work in the form of a medicine dispenser which attempts to bring under a single platform the multifaceted approach to address medicine adherence and the benefits that ensue.

These days the produced information in the form of digital content are severely exposed to be pirated or misused due to the rapid advancements of information and communication technologies. Therefore, the digital information producers worry about unauthorized access and modifications of their digital properties. Thus, they strive to provide a quick procedure in order to protect their digital information assets as soon as they are produced. The spatial-domain watermarking can be a key solution to fulfill this demand. However, the spatial-domain watermarking approaches like EISB (Enhanced Intermediate Significant Bit) are not enough robust. In this paper, we proposed a statistical method using L2Norm technique to increase the robustness of the EISB watermarking approach. We conducted an experiment using different image watermarks. The results of the experiment revealed that the proposed method was able to increase the robustness of the EISB watermarking scheme.

Inter-speaker variability, one of the problems faced in speech recognition system, has caused the performance degradation in recognizing varied speech spoken by different speakers. Vocal Tract Length Normalization (VTLN) method is known to improve the recognition performances by compensating the speech signal using specific warping factor. Experiments are conducted using TIMIT speech corpus and Hidden Markov Model Toolkit (HTK) together with the implementation of VTLN method in order to show improvement in speaker independent phoneme recognition. The results show better recognition performance using Bigram Language Model compared to Unigram Language Model, with Phoneme Error Rate (PER) 28.8% as the best recognition performance for Bigram and PER 38.09% for Unigram. The best warp factor used for normalization in this experiment is 1.40.

In fisheries industry, sampling of fish length is the main criteria to identify fish reproduction, recruitment, growth and mortality. Current sampling measuring process to identify fish length was done manually using traditional equipment. This process took a lot of time and cost overflowing. Therefore, in this paper, we will discuss the details of the D'FishLen Framework by using Hsiu's method for measuring the length of a fish automatically using image processing approach integrated with optical formulation to solve these problems. The accuracy of measuring the fish length was 99.11%.

This paper presents a heuristic-search algorithm called Memory-bounded Anytime Window A*(MAWA*), which is complete, anytime, and memory bounded. MAWA* uses the window-bounded anytime-search methodology of AWA* as the basic framework and combines it with the memory-bounded A* -like approach to handle restricted memory situations. Simple and efficient versions of MAWA* targeted for tree search have also been presented. Experimental results of the sliding-tile puzzle problem and the traveling-salesman problem show the significant advantages of the proposed algorithm over existing methods.
