A fall is an unintentional event in which a person comes to rest on the ground/floor/a lower level. Falls are the second driving cause of inadvertent injury deaths around the world. Falls pose a major health risk to children and the elderly (especially above the age of 65). Injuries from falls make it difficult for an individual to move around, do regular activities, or live on their own. Hence, studies on methods able to recognize Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and to identify falls is on the rise. The acknowledgment of ADLs may permit to gather the sum of physical activity that a subject performs daily, whilst the timely identification of falls may aid in diminishing their consequences. To improve the accuracy of the classifier, the data from smartwatches and smartphones are combined. There are not many publicly accessible datasets incorporating data from both smartwatchesand smartphones. Hence, the data will be collected independently. The Decision tree (J48) classifier will be used to classify the falls. The evaluation metrics include: Precision, Recall, F1 Score and the confusion matrix.

The Computational Visual Media (CVM) conference series is intended to provide a major international forum for exchanging novel research ideas and significant computational methods that either underpin or apply visual media. The primary goal is to promote cross-disciplinary research to amalgamate aspects of computergraphics, computer vision, machine learning, image and video processing, visualization and geometric computing. The main topics of interest to CVM include classification, composition, retrieval, synthesis, cognition and understanding of visual media (e.g., images, videos, 3D geometry).

This article discusses goal programming model for optimizing working capital management (WCM) of a tire manufacturing company. The mathematical model is run for the years 2008–2009 to 2012–2013 and values of the respective goals are taken from it. The validation for the model values with the actual values from the financial data are carried out to check the significance of the model values. The significance test is carried out in one sample t-test. It is observed that all the values got from the model are significant. The sales of the company for the year 2013–2014 is forecasted from the past data by linear regression using Microsoft Excel as a trend line. The model is used to 2analyze the values of variables of WCM for the year 2013–2014 to achieve a 30 percent return on assets (ROA) for the forecasted sales.

The paper presents a summary of the 2020 Sclera Segmentation Benchmarking Competition (SSBC), the 7th in the series of group benchmarking efforts centred around the problem of sclera segmentation. Different from previous editions, the goal of SSBC 2020 was to evaluate the performance of sclera-segmentation models on images captured with mobile devices. The competition was used as a platform to assess the sensitivity of existing models to i) differences in mobile devices used for image capture and ii) changes in the ambient acquisition conditions. 26 research groups registered for SSBC 2020, out of which 13 took part in the final round and submitted a total of 16 segmentation models for scoring. These included a wide variety of deep-learning solutions as well as one approach based on standard image processing techniques. Experiments were conducted with three recent datasets. Most of the segmentation models achieved relatively consistent performance across images captured with different mobile devices (with slight differences across devices), but struggled most with low-quality images captured in challenging ambient conditions, i.e., in an indoor environment and with poor lighting.

We have solved the problem of substantiating the choice of the sampling interval of the temporal series of the technological process parameter measurements for automation systems, if there are errors, which takes into account the frequency characteristics of this series. The object of the study is the measuring channel of ACS TP (automated control systems of technological processes). We have developed the mathematical simulation model of the measuring channel and the analog-to-digital converter, which provides the possibility of studying the influence of the sampling interval value of the temporal series of technological process parameter measurements on the reliability of the information. The results of the research of the model show the effectiveness of the model developed.

Smart grid systems data has been exposed to several threats and attacks from different perspectives and have resulted in several system failures. Obtaining security of data and key exposure and enhancing system ability in data collection and transmission process are challenging, on the grounds smart grid data is sensitive and enormous sum. In this paper we introduce smart grid data security method along with advanced Cipher text policy attribute based encryption (CP-ABE). Cloud supported IoT is widely used in smart grid systems. Smart IoT devices collect data and perform status management. Data obtained from the IOT devices will be divided into blocks and encrypted data will be stored in different cloud server with different encrypted keys even when one cloud server is assaulted and encrypted key is exposed data cannot be decrypted, thereby the transmission and encryption process are done in correspondingly. We protect access-tree structure information even after the data is shared to user by solving revocation problem in which cloud will inform data owner to revoke and update encryption key after user has downloaded the data, which preserves the data privacy from unauthorized users. The analysis of the system concludes that our proposed system can meet the security requirements in smart grid systems along with cloud-Internet of things.
