This paper presents two new region-based active contour models in a variation framework for image segmentation. In these models, to quantify the similarity measurement between two regions, we propose to compare their respective cumulative histograms with the L 1 ,L 2 ,L ∞ distances which are often applied in image comparison. For example, to compute the similarity, the KolmogorovSmirnov test by using the L ∞ distance is the most popular one. Our first energy model is based on minimizing Lv distance between two cumulative histograms of different regions, together with a geometric regulation term that penalizes the length of region boundaries. The second model is the localization of the first model with the popular local method. To solve these models, we describe a fast minimization algorithm with the Split-Bregman method, which can find the global minimizer. Finally, to illustrate the robust and accurate segmentations with the proposed models, we show some experimental results on some images.

Creation of procedural 3D building models can significantly lessen the costs of modeling, since it allows generating a variety of similar shapes from one procedural description. The common field of application for procedural modeling is modeling of straight building facades, which are very well suited for shape grammars – a special kind of procedural modeling system. In order to generate round building geometry, we present a way to setup different coordinate systems in shape grammars. Besides Cartesian, these are primarily cylindrical and spherical coordinate systems for generation of structures like towers or domes, that can procedurally adapt to different dimensions and parameters. The users can apply common splitting idioms from shape grammars in their familiar way, for creating round instead of straight geometry.

Data Collection schemes fail to supply a secure reliable network in terms of quality, traffic, and end-to-end affiliation. during this paper, a Improved rate Energy-efficient and Link-aware Cluster-Tree (IVELCT) theme for knowledge assortment in WSNs is projected which might effectively mitigate the issues of coverage distance, mobility, delay, traffic, tree intensity, and end-to-end affiliation. The projected IVELCT constructs the information assortment Tree (DCT) supported the cluster head location. the information assortment node within the DCT doesn't participate in sensing on this explicit spherical, however, it merely collects the information packet from the cluster head and delivers it to the sink. The designed IVELCT theme minimizes the energy exploitation, reduces the end-to-end delay and traffic in cluster head in WSNs by effective usage of the DCT. The strength of the IVELCT algorithmic rule is to construct an easy tree structure, thereby reducing the energy consumption of the cluster head and avoids frequent cluster formation. It additionally maintains the cluster for a substantial quantity of your time. Simulation results have incontestable that IVELCT provides higher QoS in terms of energy consumption, throughput, end-to-end delay, and network time period for mobility-based WSNs.

For business and research oriented works engaging Data Analysis and Cloud services needing qualitative data, many organizations release huge microdata. It excludes an individual's explicit identity marks like name, address and comprises of specific information like DOB, Pin-code, sex, marital status, which can be combined with other public data to recognize a person. This implication attack can be manipulated to acquire any sensitive information from social network platform, thereby putting the privacy of a person in grave danger. To prevent such attacks by modifying microdata, K-anonymization is used. With potentially increasing data, the effective method to anonymize it stands challenging. After series of trails and systematic comparison, in this paper, we propose three best algorithms along with its efficiency and effectiveness. Studies help researchers to identify the relationship between the values of k, degree of anonymization, choosing a quasi-identifier and focus on execution time.

In cloud computing, trust management is more important when providing users with virtualized and scalable web services. Many existing systems sharply divide trust value into right or wrong. Trust means an act of faith; confidence and reliability in something that is expected to behave or deliver as promised. Trust is required to solve the problem created due to uncertainty and vulnerability caused by open conditions of cloud computing. This paper presents a mutual trust for both cloud users and cloud service providers to avoid security related issues in cloud computing. This is to be done by providing trusted services to the cloud users using enhanced mutual trust to be known as Enhanced Mutual Trusted Access Control Algorithm (EMTACA). This paper proposes the model which considers both the cloud user's behavior trust and cloud service provider's credibility. Trust calculations are based on the behavior which includes history of direct communication between both the user and service provider; based on friends and third party recommendations. The hierarchy based reputation systems has suggested how to safeguard the data objects in the level of file access which ensures the cloud security. The different security measures are used to protect the different cloud services. This proposed system which includes the EMTACA algorithm can assure enhanced, guaranteed and trusted and reputation based cloud services among the users in a cloud environment.

The evolution of bio fuel supply chain has revolutionized the organization by restructuring the practices of the traditional management. A flexible distribution system is becoming the need of our society. The main focus of this paper is to integrate IoT technologies into a cultivation, extraction and management of Jatropha seed. It was noticed that major set-back of farmers due to poor supply chain integration. The various losses like information about the Jatropha seed availability, the location of esterification plants and distribution details are identified through this IoT. This enables the farmers to reorganize the land resources, yield estimation and distribution functions. The wastage and the scarcity of energy can be tackled by using the smart phone technologies. This paper is proposes a conceptual frame work on various losses involved in the supply chain of Jatropha seed.

Cloud computing is the Internet based computing to deliver service. The major components to establish cloud are distributed systems, service oriented computing, web2.0, virtualization and utility computing. The integration of these components are required to make available data anytime and anywhere. Migration of virtual machines is the key issue to manage heterogenous cloud for load balancing. The migration is performed to accommodate the VM of highly loaded server to lightly loaded server. Pre-copy and post-copy are two migration approaches. Pre-copy is the iterative based algorithm which has better performance over post-copy due to its effective execution process for transferring pages. The outcome of pre-copy algorithm is dependent on the dirty and skip models. Dirty model is useful for identifying those pages which are being dirtied for the number of iterations. Skip model is the special case of dirty page mechanism through which consecutive iterations can avoid sending dirty pages for current iteration using skip bitmap of Xen. The skip bitmap is evaluated based on Writable Working Set (WWS) of any migration process. The proposed skip algorithm is developed to handle WWS optimally to improve performance of live migration system. The results show the state of the art to gain 91% accuracy using proposed skip model.

Multiagent systems consist of groups of agents that exchange local information to achieve given system-level goals. Traditionally, these systems assumed that all agents have some knowledge (e.g., observations of a process of interest) to contribute in order to achieve a common goal of interest, which may not be the case in many scenarios. Motivated from this standpoint, a new class of multiagent systems, active-passive multiagent systems, were recently proposed, which consists of agents subject to observations of a process of interest (i.e., active agents) and agents without any observations (i.e., passive agents). However, in this class of multiagent systems, agents need to continuously exchange information among themselves, incurring a high cost of interagent information exchange, and requiring that agents synchronize their update times. To address these shortcomings, this paper presents a new class of event-triggered active-passive dynamic consensus filters, in which agents schedule information exchange dependent on errors exceeding user-defined thresholds, significantly reducing the overall cost of interagent information exchange, and allowing agents to determine when to broadcast their information to their neighbors thus eliminating the need to synchronize their states. An illustrative numerical example is presented to demonstrate the efficacy of our approach.

Green computing is a recent trend and an evolving field aiming towards a sustainable future. Different approaches have been established as possible directions towards green computing. Virtualization, Cloud computing, Energy minimization, reduction in use of hazardous substances in electronic items etc are a few approaches. Though major focus has shifted towards energy minimization, other approaches have churned themselves out as new subjects – cloud computing. Green computing encompasses a wide range of things. One of them is e-waste management. End of life electronic equipments known as e-waste is a threat to the whole world. Globally 41.8 million metric tonnes of e-waste was generated in 2014. These electronic items are the hardware part of the computer. The proper management of e-waste hence leaves a good potential to implement green computing. An overwhelming amount of research articles focusing on green computing are present and major focus is on energy minimization, efficient algorithms and cloud computing. Literature on green computing focusing on e-waste management is scant. The research questions aroused are as follows. Is it actually possible to implement green computing using e-waste management? What are the issues pertaining to it? How can this be achieved? How sustainable it this approach? The study tries to answer these questions. The main objective of this study is to establish e-waste management as a parameter for green computing. The study also intends to check the sustainability potential of this approach. The paper will help the stakeholders, practitioners, researchers and decision makers for choosing a benchmark approach and will pave directions for future research.
