Human food needs are increasing all the time. This condition is in line with the increasing world population and exacerbated by climate change. Agricultural products are one of the sources of food to meet food needs. The use of technology is one of the keys to success in increasing agricultural production. One of the technologies used in agricultural technology is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT in agricultural technology can be used to monitor soil and weather conditions to ensure that these conditions are in accordance with the needs of agricultural crops. The use of machine learning technology can be combined with IoT to help predict the types of crops that are suitable for planting based on soil and weather conditions. The results of the experiment show that the machine learning model can be used to predict the right types of plants to plant based on soil and weather conditions obtained through IoT. Because financial time series forecasting is sensitive to political, economic, and social factors, it is not a simple task. As a result, those who make investments in currency exchange and financial markets typically search for reliable models that can guarantee they will maximize their profile and minimize their losses. Fortunately, many studies have used a method from Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) called Backpropagation, could improve the predictive accuracy of the behavior of the financial data over time. This paper aims to forecast stock share prediction from closing value of PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk, and PT. Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk. The results show that the using Backpropagation gives the closest result. And for the rating of judgement for cast accuracy, it exceeded 10% accuracy, which means high accurate from the prediction. For further checking, comparing the results of research from Victor's results, it almost hits the same accuracy percentage. Which means, these prediction are accurate enough to do time series forecasting. © 2023 IEEE.

Nowadays, many people are starting to care about early investment. One of the most popular investments lately, especially for millennials, is a stock investment. In investing, there are advantages and risks of loss. One way to reduce the risk of loss is by using price predictions before investing in stocks. This paper proposes the use of deep learning in making stock predictions. We conducted research by calculating the performance of six deep-learning algorithms to predict stock closing prices. The application of the CNN-LSTM-GRU hybrid algorithm combination produces the best performance compared to other methods, based on the value: Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) decreased by 1.100 by 14%, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) was successfully reduced by 0.798 by 13.4%, and R Square increased by 0.957 by 3.9%. In predicting stock prices on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, especially in the energy sector, CNN-LSTM-GRU is more appropriate for investors than using a single algorithm to make decisions in investing in stocks.. © 2023 IEEE.

Shipbuilder safety and performance, structural integrity of welded joints in shipbuilding is of utmost importance. Traditional manual inspection methods to detect any potential defect can be time consuming and susceptible to human errors;alternative inspection systems have proven more cost effective and accurate solutions than manual approaches for defect identification. This paper investigates how advanced software quality assessment standards and machine learning techniques such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and You Only Look Once (YOLO) object identification framework can enhance weld defect detection. Research undertaken for this thesis addresses three core questions. 1) Which standards provide effective software quality assessments used for weld defect detection systems?;and 2) In what ways will they impact efficiency and reliability. How will implementation of these standards increase accuracy in manufacturing processes? Integrating high-quality annotated datasets, optimizing joint preparation and parameter settings, and using cloud solutions for computing needs can enable industries to achieve more reliable, efficient, and scalable defect detection. This proactive approach not only enhances immediate product quality, but also contributes to long-term durability and performance, decreasing maintenance costs and increasing overall reliability for steel plates used for marine applications. Furthermore, evidence has revealed that adopting software quality assessment standards in weld defect detection significantly enhances structural integrity as well as operational efficiency of shipbuilding operations. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, social media serves as a platform for sharing and receiving information. One indicator of the importance of information is its virality. Virality is an interesting topic in the world of Natural Language Processing (NLP), including the prediction of virality and identifying features that influence it. Research in this area has utilized Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) models and yielded promising results. Previous studies aimed to predict virality based on specific features. This research aims to predict virality by combining the abilities of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and BERT models. The BERT model transforms textual data into numerical and adds new features, while the CNN model excels in numerical classification. Data for this study is sourced from Twitter and in Indonesian language. The proposed model demonstrates improvements compared to the model from previous research. Specifically, it shows a 7.1% increase in precision, a 9.9% increase in recall, a 3.8% increase in accuracy, and an 8.1% increase in F1-Score compared to the previous model. These findings contribute to future research on similar topics, particularly in leveraging multiple models for prediction tasks. Overall, the study provides insights into effectively utilizing the strengths of various models and combining them in prediction tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

Mental health is one of the states of well-being which enables people to cope with various things in everyday life. Despite that, mental health is often overlooked, driving the emergence of numerous mental disorders on people. Along the presence of technological advancements, there is serious game which is utilized to entertain and achieve non-game goals related to real-life issues. Due to that, serious game can be leveraged as a media put into health sectors, particularly in presenting fun therapy to people diagnosed with mental disorders. This research presents systematic literature review on publications discussing the utilization of serious game in providing fun therapy for people with mental disorders, focusing on matters like the mental disorders emphasized within, the game elements presented in each publication, and ways to evaluate the serious game. The result indicates overall well-received responses regarding the usage of serious game in serving the purpose, albeit with different ways on evaluation process based on the mental disorders each publication addressed for. © 2024 IEEE.

Wireless communication systems are becoming increasingly important in our daily lives, especially with the rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT). Secure and reliable communication is essential for the correct functioning of critical applications and use cases such as healthcare, finance, transportation, and industrial automation. However, the growing number of connected devices introduces significant challenges to data security and privacy due to the open nature of wireless networks. While traditional encryption methods are effective, they can be resource-intensive and impractical for resource-constrained IoT environments. Physical layer security (PLS) provides a lightweight alternative by leveraging the inherent characteristics of wireless channels to generate symmetric secret keys without requiring third-party infrastructure. The PLS key generation process involves four main stages: channel sampling, quantization, reconciliation, and privacy amplification. This paper provides a comprehensive survey of existing quantization schemes, as this step plays a crucial role in determining the key generation rate (KGR) and key disagreement rate (KDR). Additionally, the paper classifies quantization methods as either lossless or lossy, providing insights into the trade-offs between security and efficiency. ©2024 IEEE.

Many individuals now trade online utilizing trading software in the digital world. Binomo is one of Indonesia's most popular trading platforms. This is because some influencers made several promises to Binomo customers. Since many customers were deceived, this case became quite popular. This study was executed to see how Indonesians felt about the Binomo application after the case went viral. The solution taken was in the form of sentiment analysis because there had been no previous research on sentiment analysis that discussed the Binomo case. The data was scanned using Netlytic tools, a cloud-based text and social network analyzer capable of identifying any talks on social media sites such as Twitter. The sentiment analysis of Binomo trading tweets by using the Multi-Perspective Question Answering lexicon utilized the KNIME tool. But unfortunately, the accuracy of sentiment analysis results is low. Furthermore, the Support Vector Machine technique is also being conducted. The Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency method is applied to perform feature extraction whilst the chi-square approach is utilized to identify features that are thought to be useful for inclusion in the classification process and to exclude features that are irrelevant to the target class. The obtained accuracy is 86%. The study proposes that words from the algorithm's outputs can be utilized to improve the quality of sentiment analysis using the lexicon. As an outcome of the algorithm, positive and negative terms are added to the lexicon, increasing the accuracy of sentiment analysis using the new vocabulary from 58.984% to 71.146%. © 2023 IEEE.

Image descriptions are crucial in assisting individuals without eyesight by providing verbal representations of visual content. While manual and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated descriptions exist, automatic description generators have not fully met the needs of visually impaired People. In this study, we have examined the problems related to image descriptions reported in existing literature using the Snowballing technique. Through this method, we have identified thirteen issues, including ethical concerns surrounding physical appearance, gender and identity, race, and disability. Furthermore, we have identified five reasons why sighted Individuals often fail to provide descriptions for visual content, highlighting the necessity for accessibility campaigns that raise awareness about the social significance of descriptive sentences. We conducted interviews with eight low-vision volunteers, in which we analyzed the characteristics of descriptive sentences for 25 indoor images and gathered participants' expectations regarding image descriptions. As a result, we propose a set of Good Practices for writing descriptive sentences aimed to assist automatic tools and sighted Individuals in generating more satisfactory and high-quality image descriptions. We hope our results will emphasize the societal importance of imagery descriptions and inspire the community to pursue further interdisciplinary research to address the issues identified in our study. © 2023 ACM.

Employee hypertension self-management support with microlearning and social learning

A majority of employees over the age of 40 have hypertension, impacting their health and performance. A two-week self-management support (SMS) intervention was tested, with daily feedback and microlearning cycles to improve health self-management competences. On average, participants (n = 8) reduced their blood pressure from 145/92 mmHg to 126/86 mmHg. User evaluation confirmed the importance of core SMS aspects: information transfer, daily monitoring, enhancing problem solving/decision making, self-treatment using a tailored action plan, coping skills, and skilful coach follow-up. Several lessons are drawn on microlearning, peer coaching, health results, intrinsic motivation, and social learning, which appear useful for other health improvement initiatives. © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
