Design teaching which is part of the system development life cycle, both information systems and application systems is very important to be taught, learned and understood in the informatics engineering study program. System design teaching in private universities in Indonesia whose students are very diverse in terms of abilities and skills require teaching materials, lecture strategies, quality of lecturers and facilities that must also be able to adapt to the challenges and complexity in teaching. The study of system design teaching uses Hevner's information systems research framework which includes the steps of constructing artifacts in the form of constructs, models, methods, instances and evaluation of artifacts using case study in informatics engineering lecture. The use of the framework is intended to support business strategies and processes in study programs and to ensure the relevance of research. The result of research is a model and evaluation of the model. First, this research will produce a system design teaching model that can be used as a reference in the informatics engineering study program to produce graduates with good literacy, skills using the stages of system design, understanding user needs and system design capabilities. Second, evaluating the model that has been built by applying it to the case study on human computer interaction lecture and measuring the results of lectures to improve the quality of lecture material, teaching and students. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Database lectures in the informatics engineering study program teach the life cycle of database system development, both in terms of concepts, utilization, administration to database application systems to be studied, practiced and understood by students. Database teaching in the informatics engineering department of a private university with very diverse student participants, the ability to master computer and information technology and skills requires teaching material, lecturing strategies, lecturer quality, and facilities must also be able to adjust toward challenges, concept development, and database technology. This database design research model used Hevner's information systems research framework, starting with reference research, database lecture analysis, rigor and research relevance. This research covered the steps of constructing artifacts in the form of constructs, models, methods, instantiation, and evaluation of artifacts. The use of the framework intended to support business strategies and processes in study programs and ensure the relevance of research. The benefits of this research will produce a database lecture model that can be used as a reference and lecture development in the informatics engineering study program. Reference to produce graduates with understanding and skills in database design, the use of Database Management System (DBMS), the ability in administration and professional capability in the database field. This study aims to design an assessment instrument to assess students' cognition in computer networking lessons. The design and design of the test instrument followed the ADDIE model, from the analysis stage to determine student targets and characteristics, then the design stage, determining learning objectives, learning material design, and question grids, at this stage the number of Subject Matter Experts (SME) was also determined as many as 6 people, for 6 Subject Matter Experts (SME), the minimum acceptable Content Validation Ratio (CVR) is 0.99, while the Content Validation Index (CVI) is 0.83. At the development stage, 81 items were designed as a draft assessment instrument. At the implementation stage, the Subject Matter Experts (SME) assessed each item on the draft assessment instrument. This study uses a quantitative content validity approach from the Lawshe model with a 3-point scale as follows: essential, useful but not necessary, and non-essential. Each Subject Matter Expert (SME) was given an instrument to assess each item in the test instrument. The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will determine whether an important question is given, normal or normal, or whether the question is not important given to students. At the evaluation stage, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) assessment of the draft test instrument will be compiled and the Content Validation Ratio (CVR) value and the Content Validation Index (CVI) value calculated to determine content validity. © 2022 IEEE.

In 2022, Indonesia initiated a pilot project to transition from liquid petroleum gas (LPG) stoves to induction stoves, targeting 8.2 million households by 2025. While LPG is considered a clean cooking fuel by the World Health Organization due to its low PM2.5 emissions, this program aims to further reduce CO2 emissions from cooking activities, aligning with Indonesia’s clean energy transition and 2060 Net Zero Emission goals. Throughout the program, doubts and criticisms arose among various sectors of society, particularly concerning the sustainability of this program. This research aims to determine and analyze the driving factors that support the sustainability of the induction stove transition program. Five sustainability aspects, namely, economic, social, environmental, technical, and institutional, were analyzed. A total of 315 Indonesian citizens participated as respondents in this research survey. The Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (PLS–SEM) method was utilized as the analytical approach for the study. The results revealed that nine factors significantly influenced program sustainability, with the strongest impacts from technology costs (path coefficient = 0.859), contextual factors (0.803), electrical infrastructure (0.792), and community perception (0.773). Economic sustainability was driven by technology costs and business opportunities (0.643), while environmental sustainability was strongly influenced by electrical infrastructure. Post-installation support (0.307) and financial management (0.391) significantly impacted technical and institutional sustainability respectively. These empirical findings improve previous research on the sustainability of an energy transition program, which provides insights for researchers and stakeholders in the energy management field, especially in developing countries, for policy determination and decision-making. © 2025, Aalborg University Press. Corrosion poses a significant challenge in industries due to material degradation and high maintenance costs, making effective inhibitors essential. Recent studies suggest expired pharmaceuticals as alternative corrosion inhibitors, but identifying the most efficient compounds can be time-consuming. This study applies machine learning models, particularly Gradient Boosting Regressor (GBR), to predict corrosion inhibition efficiency (CIE). The developed model is integrated into a web-based application, enabling real-time, accurate CIE predictions. Results show GBR as the more precise model for predicting CIE, with low error rates. The streamlit-based web application offers a user-friendly platform, facilitating quick identification of suitable inhibitors. It is flexible, supporting analysis beyond corrosion inhibitors, and significantly enhances the efficiency of the evaluation process. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

3D human pose estimation (HPE) has improved significantly through Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs), which effectively model body part ***, GCNs have limitations, including uniform feature transformations across nodes and reliance on skeleton-based graphs that may miss complex motion *** address these issues, we introduce a Multi-Normalization Residual Graph Convolutional Network that fine-tunes the graph structure through affinity multi-normalization and activation, allowing the representation of additional connections beyond the *** extensive ablation study shows that this approach enhances performance with minimal overhead while maintaining the same model size, consistently outperforming state-of-the-art techniques on two benchmark datasets. © 2024 SPIE.

Prospective informatics teachers in vocational schools (VS) must master content knowledge, pedagogical skills, and technology integration to achieve learning goals. Therefore, informatics teachers in VS need to innovate to increase students' creativity. However, many prospective informatics teachers experience difficulties in this regard. This research aims to develop and implement the Web-Based Microteaching (WBM) model to improve the teaching skills of prospective informatics teachers at VS. This study uses research and development methods with the ADDIE model approach. The research results show that the WBM model effectively improves prospective informatics teachers' teaching skills, especially in planning lessons and practising basic teaching skills. This innovation is a relevant learning solution in the digital era and positively contributes to the professional development of informatics teachers. The WBM model is an innovation to provide a more intensive and structured practical experience by utilizing web technology as the main media. Through web-based learning, prospective teachers can access material, exercises and feedback independently, which is expected to accelerate pedagogical mastery. © 2025 The Authors

The increasing prevalence of deep hoaxes, such as fake news and phishing schemes, poses a significant threat to cybersecurity, undermining trust and spreading misinformation. In Indonesia, surveys indicate that more than 60% of people exposed to hoax news believe that it is true, emphasizing the urgent need for robust detection methods. Traditional cybersecurity approaches often struggle to keep pace with the growing scale and sophistication of these attacks. To address this challenge, this research investigates the use of deep learning techniques, specifically focusing on text-based hoax detection in the Indonesian language. The study fine-tunes IndoBERT, a pretrained deep learning model optimized for Indonesian text, to enhance the accuracy and scalability of hoax detection. The IndoBERT model was trained on a balanced dataset of 29,552 articles, comprising both hoax and real news content, collected from the Mafindo API and Kaggle's Indonesia News Dataset. The model was fine-tuned using supervised learning and evaluated using several key metrics, including accuracy, F1-score, precision, and recall. The results demonstrate that IndoBERT outperforms existing state-of-the-art approaches, achieving an accuracy of 98.51%, an F1-score of 98.44%, and a precision of 98.23% on the test set. These results highlight the effectiveness of IndoBERT for hoax detection, which offers a scalable solution to improve cybersecurity defenses against deceptive content. This research contributes to the integration of advanced deep learning models into cybersecurity systems, addressing the evolving landscape of cyber threats.
