The stearic acid modified zinc oxide nanorod surface was coated with a stainless steel substrate to improve the contact angle and the sliding angle. Facilitated through ZnO seeding on the substrate, the ZnO nanorod was deposited via chemical bath deposition at different precursor concentrations. The surface hydrophobicity was modified by varying concentrations of stearic acid at and submmersion time. The contact angle was investigated in relation to the surface microstructure and modification. Results indicate that the density of ZnO nanorods on the substrate surface and stearic acid coverage are prerequisites for improving surface hydrophobicity. Superhydrophobic properties with a contact angle of 162° was obtained for ZnO deposited with 35 mM zinc nitrate and submerged in 8 mM stearic acid for 36 h, which allowed 5 μL water droplets to slide at 3.8°. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Climate change is one of the various problems faced by various countries. Many sectors that contribute to climate change, electricity, and heat production were identified as the main contributors to CO2 emissions worldwide. On the other hand, Spirulina sp. potential for becoming power generator because it has good photosynthetic efficiency as anolyte biophotovoltaic devices. This research aims to test the effectiveness of photovoltaic using Spirulina sp. and develop Spirulina sp. as streetlights. The prototype uses 21 pairs of Spirulina sp. microalgal fuel cells as generator, based on voltage measurements using 100 ml anolyte and 500 ml catholyte which produces voltage value 405 mV. Using 21 pairs of series circuits, the voltage value obtained is 17.6 V. This prototype is equipped with aeration system to support the life of Spirulina sp. and equipped with LDR sensor for automation refers to the presence/absence of sunlight. Based on the results, there are challenges in the form of prototype sizes that are not suitable for streetlights in general, so further studies are needed to implement and commercial photovoltaic streetlights based on Spirulina sp. microalgal fuel cells.

Management of patient data at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Community Health Center (UPT. Puskesmas) of Rhee Sumbawa District has not been fully computerized. The need for the development of an Information System to store medical records (history) of patient data. The research aims to develop information systems with descriptive research methods. For software development methods using Waterfall Models and built with Microsoft Visual Studio C# software and databases stored in Microsoft SQL Server software. Software testing uses Black Box Testing, which is testing software in functional terms. The results of research into digital data technology products that function to enter, change, delete data and minimize the time to find the data needed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of data management.

Identification of igneous rock distribution in Kalisonggo area using geomagnetic method

Shallow intrusions of igneous rocks are often found in the Kalisonggo area and form a columnar joint. The presence of shallow intrusions of igneous rocks in the study area is closely related to Mount Mujil as an ancient volcanic system. This study aims to prove the existence of igneous intrusion and subsurface conditions using the geomagnetic method. First Horizontal Derivative (FHD) is used to determine the edge boundaries of the anomalous source of the rock's magnetic field. Quantitative interpretation is done by using 2.5 D modeling to determine the distribution of igneous intrusion in the study area. The results of data processing show the total anomaly value in the study area has a range of values ranging from -400 nT to 600 nT. Whereas the local anomaly value that has been reduced to the equator has a range of values between 350 nT and the lowest -400 nT with a closed contour closure pattern between the high anomaly and the low anomaly. Based on the cross-section results of 2.5 D incision 1 and 2, there are 3 layers of rock in the presence of boulder lava andesite. The andesite lava has a susceptibility value of 0.00004 SI which penetrates the bedding above it. The top layer is soil with a susceptibility value of 0.00001 SI. The next layer is the andesite breccia rocks with a susceptibility value of 0.00003 SI. The third layer is sandstone with a susceptibility value of 0.000005 SI. The model shows that the andesitic lava lumps did not break through the basement, this is following Van Bemmelen's opinion that igneous rock in Kalisonggo is an avalanche.

Mass movement phenomena that occur in the research area affect the destruction of water channel in the area of PLTM Lambangan that located at the location. This research aimed to investigate soil movement phenomena in order to determine control factors that causing soil prone to move, especially in the surface geological aspect and underground lithology condition in the research area. Investigation method applied is by underground geologic and geophysical surveys using electrical method, that is Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) with Wenner Configuration. Results of investigation show that geological factors are quite related to the soil movement. Movement phenomena occur in the surface with hilly to steep cut topography (21-55%) with material sourced from alluviation of clastic sediment dan carbonatic rocks. The damaged area is people farming area where fibre root of plant adds water absorption capacity of the soil. Also, sliding materials show water seepage that indicates that the moving slope has been saturated. This condition supported by information from geoelectric survey which indicates that in general the under surface material potent to slide or move because of unconsolidated material with its resistivity values in the order of 16 – 43 m that estimated related to alluvial or saturated residual soil.

The associative property of addition facilitates the change of the group member. If the group members are molecules, can we apply this property to study a chemical reaction? The aim of this paper is to use the associative property of addition to design reaction pathways of methyl acetate hydrolysis in the acid environment. The reaction is found in Alzheimer’s Disease. We evaluate the designed pathways using activation energy obtained from density functional theory calculation. The results show the associative property of addition can be used to design four reaction pathways of the hydrolysis. The calculations show the acidity significantly affected the activation energy. This result agrees with the common knowledge. Hence, we have demonstrated the usefulness of the associative property of addition in designing chemical reaction pathways.

The platoon system is applied to an autonomous truck trailer. The control is designed for platoon longitudinal speed control using the backstepping integrator method with the control objective is to make the position error and speed error between the leader and follower are stable and converge to zero. The simulation results show the platoon controller accomplishes the required objective. Even when the velocity of the leader is accelerated or slowed down, the followers are still able to keep pace with the leader and to retain the desired distance relative to the leader.

Based on the results of the questionnaire distributed to Primary Teacher Education Students, 96% of students said that physics is difficult to understand because the material is very complex, many formulas, especially the learning process is done online. This study aims to describe the influence of providing feedback on the motivation of Primary Teacher Education Students in primary school physics courses. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Meanwhile, the instrument used was a questionnaire which was distributed to 115 elementary school education students. The result of the research shows that giving feedback consistently is able to motivate students. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaires distributed, each indicator is of very good value.

Cyber-Physical Systems-Based PID Controller for Three Interacting Tank Process Level Control

This paper considers the performance improvement of PLC-based process control systems through Industry 4.0 by harnessing cyber-physical systems (CPS), which is an integration of control, computation, and networking to intertwine intensely cyber and physical components. To accomplish these needs, open process control (OPC) unified architecture (UA) is exercised as a horizontal and vertical integrator of the CPS-based process automation. The three interacting tank process is the preferred testing plant because this system has become a proven benchmark for testing advanced control system in the laboratory scale. In this paper, the cyber component accomplishes parameter optimization of the PID controller for the level control of the three interacting tank process and schedules the appropriate PID controller that matches the level operating conditions. The control implementation shows that CPS for the level control of the three interacting tank process works well by resulting in smaller integral square error (ISE) value. Moreover, the cloud-based database can be established directly using OPC UA for real-time monitoring of the process through websites using the Internet network with data delivery rate of 100%.

Learning simulation combined with Virtual Reality has been widely used for nursing education to gain more knowledge during skills training and a better understanding of the clinical settings. Many studies have reported that nurse students are lack of knowledge about their professional clinical settings which might lead to error in conducting medical procedures. However, studies in the use of VR for nursing simulation still focus on skill materials and visual stimuli. This paper proposes a study on auditory stimuli for VR application for pre-registered nurses' education in critical care settings. Auditory stimuli were ambisonic files recorded at the foot of the patients' bed and nursing station. These files are then decoded into 7.1/stereo with head tracking system. Thirty-seven students at their final semester participated in this study joined the classical class (class session and field trip) and audio class (listening to audio files). The subjective assessment were taken after every class session to identify which sound is perceived as audible, important, and annoying. The acceptance of students to the additional audio media were also investigated. The results prove that the knowledge of student nurses about their clinical settings are adequate since they can determine audible and important sounds. However, their expectation about annoying sounds are clearly different. Furthermore, this proposed media are highly acceptable by the students so it can lead a significant improvement of their comments between classical and audio class. © 25th International Congress on Sound and Vibration 2018, ICSV 2018: Hiroshima Calling.
