This study addresses the Wireless Sensor Network Planning Problem with Multiple Sources/Destinations (WSNPMSD), an optimization challenge focused on reducing the sensor count within a network topology for a specified area, considering numerous sources and destinations. We introduce a hybrid strategy for tackling WSNP-MSD, particularly effective for large-scale scenarios, combining a Biased Random-key Genetic Algorithm with a Local Branching Technique. This methodology is justified by the limitations exact methods may encounter when the number of variables increases. Through computational experiments, we demonstrate the superiority of our proposed method over conventional exact methods in managing large instances of the WSNP-MSD.

The increasing prevalence of deep hoaxes, such as fake news and phishing schemes, poses a significant threat to cybersecurity, undermining trust and spreading misinformation. In Indonesia, surveys indicate that more than 60% of people exposed to hoax news believe that it is true, emphasizing the urgent need for robust detection methods. Traditional cybersecurity approaches often struggle to keep pace with the growing scale and sophistication of these attacks. To address this challenge, this research investigates the use of deep learning techniques, specifically focusing on text-based hoax detection in the Indonesian language. The study fine-tunes IndoBERT, a pretrained deep learning model optimized for Indonesian text, to enhance the accuracy and scalability of hoax detection. The IndoBERT model was trained on a balanced dataset of 29,552 articles, comprising both hoax and real news content, collected from the Mafindo API and Kaggle's Indonesia News Dataset. The model was fine-tuned using supervised learning and evaluated using several key metrics, including accuracy, F1-score, precision, and recall. The results demonstrate that IndoBERT outperforms existing state-of-the-art approaches, achieving an accuracy of 98.51%, an F1-score of 98.44%, and a precision of 98.23% on the test set. These results highlight the effectiveness of IndoBERT for hoax detection, which offers a scalable solution to improve cybersecurity defenses against deceptive content. This research contributes to the integration of advanced deep learning models into cybersecurity systems, addressing the evolving landscape of cyber threats. © 2025 IEEE.

Sasirangan cloth is one of the traditional cloths owned by Indonesia and is a typical cloth originating from the province of South Kalimantan. This Sasirangan cloth has many motifs and is unique. Sasirangan cloth is also one of the potentials that can attract local and foreign tourists to visit South Kalimantan. However, in recent years, tourist visits to South Kalimantan have decreased due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Then it also has an impact on the delay in the implementation of the Banjarmasin Sasirangan Festival which is usually held annually. The next impact is a decrease in turnover and interest in shopping for Sasirangan cloth, so that employees who work for Sasirangan cloth craftsmen are dismissed and reduce people's income. So the purpose of this study is to report the results of the development of a Virtual Reality Game application called VR-SasiranganKu by integrating the interaction of Non-Player Character (NPC) behavior with the type of narrative in the simulation genre game. VR-SasiranganKu is recommended to introduce and at the same time promote Sasirangan cloth to users, then justify the reaction to knowledge and shopping experience, and evaluate user experience using the UX Honeycomb method. Respondents involved as many as 100 people who are local and national tourists. The results show that the interaction of NPC behavior can provide good direction to users regarding the introduction of Sasirangan cloth by presenting an appropriate interaction design based on the narrative and the theme of the NPC that has been adopted, the results of justification using VR-SasiranganKu can provide knowledge reaction and very good shopping experience, and based on user experience evaluation that VR-SasiranganKu has adopted a very good UX with an average score of 4.91. © 2022 IEEE.

Oil palm plantations in Indonesia still have many challenges, especially in terms of monitoring and mapping technology. One of the important aspects in the monitoring stage of oil palm plantations is monitoring the productivity of oil palm plants. To identify the oil palm plants, many previous studies have utilized image analysis to solve the problem. The problem is that poor image conditions can affect the architecture model to be built.[1] So in this research we do tune mapping on the image to produce a quality image. Each image data that has been improved will be feature extracted using ResNet and VGG to produce the best model. Furthermore, the classification model development process is carried out using CNN architecture as the model architecture. We also provide innovation by using object detection technology. Which uses artificial neural networks. Here we train the model using aerial video datasets of oil palm plants obtained from drones. Furthermore, to evaluate the performance of the above technique, it is proposed to use the mapping model, precision and accuracy evaluation obtained in the test phase[2]

This paper presents a hybrid BRKGA (Q-HBRKGA) that combines BRKGA with Q-learning and a Local Branching technique to solve the Knapsack Problem with Forfeits(KPF). The aim is to tackle this problem, a vari-ant of the 0–1 Knapsack Problem, where a penalty cost is imposed when both items of a forfeit pair are included in the solution. Notably, Q-HBRKGA achieves superior results compared to existing approaches, establishing a valid strategy for KPF problem-solving. Computational experiments, utilizing benchmark instances, demonstrate the efficacy of Q-HBRKGA by outperforming state-of-the-art methods documented in the literature.

This research explores the use of Fuzzy K-Nearest Neighbor(F-KNN)and Artificial Neural Networks(ANN)for predicting heart stroke incidents,focusing on the impact of feature selection methods,specifically Chi-Square and Best First Search(BFS).The study demonstrates that BFS significantly enhances the performance of both *** BFS preprocessing,the ANN model achieved an impressive accuracy of 97.5%,precision and recall of 97.5%,and an Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)area of 97.9%,outperforming the Chi-Square-based ANN,which recorded an accuracy of 91.4%.Similarly,the F-KNN model with BFS achieved an accuracy of 96.3%,precision and recall of 96.3%,and a Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)area of 96.2%,surpassing the performance of the Chi-Square F-KNN model,which showed an accuracy of 95%.These results highlight that BFS improves the ability to select the most relevant features,contributing to more reliable and accurate stroke *** findings underscore the importance of using advanced feature selection methods like BFS to enhance the performance of machine learning models in healthcare applications,leading to better stroke risk management and improved patient outcomes.

In agricultural water research, the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as a pivotal approach for large-scale data collection. Water availability in the context of water quality is very important, both for domestic and industrial purposes. For domestic purposes, drinking water and bathing water are separated. Meanwhile, for the palm oil industry, boiler filler is differentiated from additional process water (dilution water). Water quality parameters can be assessed from turbidity and Total Dissolve Solid (TDS). Measurements using measuring instruments separately and repeatedly require significant energy, time, and costs. This research was conducted with the primary objective of presenting a novel method for categorizing water quality with the approach of IoT sensor technology. The research methodology entailed the utilization of an integrated IoT water sensors system in conjunction with manual water categorization. The methods consist of (1) system design, (2) design and installation of sensor and IoT-based microcontrollers, and (3) accuracy and precision testing compared with laboratory measurements. The precision of the integrated IoT water sensors was assessed through a dedicated sensor precision test, resulting in an accuracy rate of 94.4% for the turbidity sensor and 97.5% for the TDS sensor. Notably, this approach successfully discriminated drinking water with valid categorization, while other water types, including groundwater, water with tea, and water with coffee, yielded null categorization results. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper introduces a novel hybrid genetic algorithm combined with data mining to solve a version of the early/tardy scheduling problem in which no unforced idle time may be inserted in a sequence. The chromosome representation of the problem is based on random keys and we use the Biased Random-Key Genetic Algorithm (BRKGA) to establish an order in which jobs are scheduled. A data mining component gathers data from the evolutionary steps of BRKGA and suggests chromosomes based on past observations. In this way, we address a key challenge in BRKGA - the exploration of solutions near an individual gene - by leveraging data-driven insights to refine and enhance the search space. Comparative analysis reveals that our hybrid algorithm significantly benefits from the pattern recognition capabilities of data mining, leading to improved scheduled efficiency. The results of a series of computational experiments underscore the potential of this hybrid approach that, although requiring slightly longer computational times, is better than the previous baseline BRKGA algorithm in terms of solution quality.

An increasing number of platforms for Business Process Automation (BPA) have been developed in recent years, including open-source and proprietary solutions. However, there are still some unsolved problems and limitations related to the adoption of these solutions, which include: vendor lock-in, limited UI/UX, limited integration, outdated technology stack, and lack of support for non-process features. The framework presented in this paper addresses these problems and limitations by providing an open-source platform to facilitate the development of process-aware information systems (PAISs) based on code generation techniques. The platform is capable of generating a functional process-aware Web application from a business process model defined in BPMN. To the best of our knowledge, there is no other software tool that generates fully functional process-aware Web applications. The presented framework has been evaluated in the academy and industry and used to develop dozens of non-profit and commercial process-aware applications. This study addresses the Testing Facility Location with Constrained Queue Time Problem. This optimization problem focuses on determining the best places to deploy testing sites and their available testers for infectious diseases, while constraining the maximum time in the queue with a given probability. An integer programming model is introduced and applied to the three biggest counties, in terms of population, of Florida, United States. Moreover, the Monte Carlo method is used to evaluate the model's output, aiming to check if the queueing time constraint is being satisfied. Through the experiments, a testing facility deployment plan can be determined for each county and further validated by the simulation. The results show that the solutions returned by the model behaved successfully when submitted to the Monte Carlo method, not exceeding the time in the queue in more than the predefined probability.
