The pandemic significantly affects the tourism industry due to health risks and travel conditions. The study aimed to identify the travel preference of Filipinos amidst the pandemic through Applied Conjoint Analysis. Several attributes such as Location, Ambiance, Pre-Departure COVID-19-19 Test, Quarantine Requirements, Insurance Policy, and Type of Tour were analyzed simultaneously. A total of 61 Filipinos answered an online questionnaire which was distributed by a convenience sampling approach. The results demonstrate that Quarantine requirements are an essential attribute that influenced the decision of Filipino travelers. The study can be used for future studies about travel trends due to the pandemic. © 2023 IEEE.

Shuttle buses are highly beneficial for employees who report to work daily, as these eliminate the worry of safe and convenient travel. This study integrated the Conjoint Analysis approach using an orthogonal design to determine the most preferred combination of employee shuttle bus attributes for Filipinos of working age. This study utilized the following attributes: types of passenger seats, entertainment, emergency preparedness, and temperature. According to the results, the type of seat is the most important employee shuttle bus attribute for Filipino passengers, as it received the highest score value, followed by entertainment, emergency preparedness, and temperature. Since there is a lack of information related to the research topic, the findings in this study can be used as a point of reference for future academic research to enhance the employee shuttle bus. This study can also serve as a reference for companies selecting shuttle buses for their employees. Furthermore, the study can be extended to passenger preference analysis of commuter buses. © 2023 IEEE.

In this research, the Human Following Robot (HFR) prototype has been designed and implemented using YOLO v3-Tiny and Tensor Flow Lite on Raspberry Pi hardware named Rewang. The HFR Rewang is designed to assist aircraft technicians by bringing maintenance tool kits to aircraft shelters. Rewang's movement is based on a camera as a vision sensor following the movement of human entities. Image input is processed by YOLO v3-Tiny through the determination of the bounding box, the calculation of Euclidean Distance, and the determination of the pixel value of the camera as the basis of Rewang's movement which is regulated by an L298N driver motor that controls two Direct Current (DC) motors for the left and right wheels. The test results show that Rewang can move at an average speed of 0.18 m/s at 2 m with a travel time of 11 seconds with a light intensity of more than 250 lux. The minimum and maximum distance of object detection is as far as 120 cm and 400 cm, with an object detection accuracy of 95.8%. Rewang allows the HFR to have a larger carrying capacity to bring more complete aircraft maintenance tools and is prospective for other aerospace and general applications. © 2024 IEEE.

This study explores the potential assessment. of regenerative braking energy in the operation of Electric Multiple Units (EMU) on the Yogyakarta-Palur railway line, a 65.03 km. Prompted by a noticeable increase in passenger numbers in the Yogyakarta metropolitan buffer zone, the study calls for future energy management strategies, involving regenerative braking to reduce energy consumption. Utilizing a mathematical model implemented via MATLAB Simulink, the research encompasses complex train movement scenarios, considering variables such as acceleration values of 0.558 m/s2 and 1 m/s2, and deceleration values of -0.555 m/s2 and 0.36 m/s2. Speed limitations, travel patterns, and energy profiles are rigorously examined, along with incline influences, such as tangent angles of 0.0032 degrees and 0.0017 degrees. In segments like Purwosari-Solo Jebres, electrical energy consumption is quantified at 23.02 kWh, with regenerative braking energy at 1.42 kWh;in Maguwo-Brambanan, consumption is 15.28 kWh, with regenerative energy at 2.42 kWh. The peak power requirements and regenerative braking potentials were also determined, with values such as 619.9 kW and 225.7 kW, and 1785 kW and 198.2 kW respectively. The total electrical consumption for the routes from Palur to Yogyakarta and vice versa was found to be 325.52 kWh and 276.73 kWh, with energy recovery of 31.43 kWh and 26.6 kWh, and average energy recovery ratios of 9.66% and 9.61%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper proposes a Dead-reckoning (DR) method for vehicles using Lie theory. This approach treats the pose (position and attitude) and velocity of the vehicle as elements of the Lie group SE 2 (3) and follows computations based on Lie theory. Previously widely used DR methods suffer from cumulative errors over time due to inaccuracies in the calculated changes from velocity during the motion of the vehicle or small errors in modeling assumptions. By treating the pose and velocity of the vehicle as elements of the Lie group, the proposed method allows for accurate solutions without errors introduced by linearization. Experimental results confirm that the proposed method improves the accuracy of DR, particularly as the motion prediction time interval of the vehicle increases.

Solar-driven carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)provides an oppor tunity to produce value-added chemical feedstocks and ***,achieving efficient and stable photoelectrochemical(PEC)CO_(2)RR into selec tive products is challenging owing to the difficulties associated with the optical and the electrical configuration of PEC devices and electrocatalyst ***,we construct an efficient,concentrated sunlight-driven CO_(2)RR setup consisting of InGaP/GaAs/Ge triple-junction cell as a photoanode and oxide-derived Au(Ox-Au)as a cathode to perform the unassisted PEC CO_(2)*** one-sun illumination,a maximum operating current density of 11.5 mA cm^(-2) with an impressive Faradaic efficiency(FE)of~98%is achieved for carbon monoxide(CO)production,leading to a solar-to-fuel conversion efficiency of~15%.Under concentrated intensity of 10 sun,the photoanode records a maximum current density of~124 mAcm^(-2) and maintains~60%of FE for CO *** results demonstrate crucial advancements in usingⅢ-Ⅴbased photoanodes for concentrated PEC CO_(2)RR.

Edge computing allows for the deployment of applications near end-users, resulting in low-latency real-Time applications. The adoption of the microservices architecture in modern applications has made this possible. Microservices architecture describes an application as a collection of separate but interconnected entities that can be built, tested, and deployed individually. Each microservice runs in its own process and exchanges data with others. Instead, edge nodes can independently deploy microservices-based IoT applications. Consistently meeting application service level objectives while also optimizing service placement delay and resource utilization in an edge environment is non-Trivial. The present paper introduces a dynamic placement strategy that aims to fulfill application constraints and minimize infrastructure resource usage while ensuring service availability to all end-users of the UE in the edge network. © 2023 IEEE.

In the continuous pursuit of an energy-efficient alternative to the energy-intensive mechanochemical process, we developed a coprecipitation strategy for synthesizing halide-based solid-state electrolytes that warrant both structural control and commercial scalability. In this study, we propose a new coprecipitation approach to synthesized Li3InCl6, exhibiting both structural and electrochemical performance stability, with a high ionic conductivity of 1.42 × 10-3 S cm-1, comparable to that of traditionally prepared counterparts. Through the in situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction technique, we unveil the stability mechanisms and rapid chemical reactions of Li3InCl6 under dry Ar, dry O2, and high-humidity atmosphere, which were not previously reported. Furthermore, the fast reversibility capability of moisture-exposed Li3InCl6 was tracked under vacuum, revealing the optimal recovery conditions at low temperatures (150-200 °C). This work addresses the critical challenges in structural engineering and sustainable mass production and provides insights into chemical reactions under real-world conditions. © 2024 The Authors. Indonesia has entered a period of demographic bonus. Human resources must be optimized. The number of children who do not in employment, education or training (NEET) in each province needs attention. Several factors that could contribute to the decline in the NEET percentage are literacy rates and the number of adolescents with computer skills. Increasing these two factors is believed to be able to reduce the percentage of NEET in every province in Indonesia. To find out the relationship between these two factors and how much influence they have on the percentage of NEET, this research is modeled by Cauchy regression and includes spatial effects. The results of the analysis show that the best model is when the spatial effect is modeled by Fernandez Steel Skew Normal conditionally autoregressive (FSSN CAR). This result is seen from the smallest value of the Watanabe Akaike Information Criterion (WAIC) in this model, which is 190.5. The parameter estimated shows that the higher the literacy rate and the number of adolescents with computer skills, the lower the percentage of NEET in each province in Indonesia. The results of this research can be useful for the Indonesian government to increase the number of educational facilities related to these two factors. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). Urban traffic congestion presents critical challenges, resulting in delays, environmental pollution, and significant economic costs. While traditional traffic control methods, such as fixed-time and adaptive systems, have been widely implemented, they often fail in unpredictable conditions, particularly when confronted with noisy or inaccurate data. This research proposes a robust reinforcement learning (RL) solution for traffic signal control using the RADIAL-DQN (Robust Adversarial Loss DQN) algorithm. Integrating adversarial training enhances the system's robustness to real-world uncertainties. Evaluations conducted using a SUMO traffic simulation show that the robust agent produced an increase of only 60.71% in queue length under a projected gradient descent (PGD) adversarial attack, outperforming standard RL agents, which experienced an 89% increase. These results demonstrate the potential of robust RL to improve both the reliability and scalability of urban traffic control systems. © 2024 IEEE.
