A subscription movie streaming service from the United States, Netflix, has been present in Indonesia since 2016 and provides a wide variety of films without showing any single advertisements that can be viewed from anywhere, as long as there is access to the internet. Despite these advantages, many users have complained through the Google Play Store's comments column. Some of the common complaints include frequent buffering and connectivity issues, dissatisfaction with the limited selection of Indonesian movies, lack of subtitles for specific languages, or pricing concerns have also been raised. In this study developed two combined scenario methods using the InSet and SentiStrength-id dictionary to obtain better performance and compare them against independent InSet and SentiStrength-id. This study collected users' comments for the Netflix app in the Google Play Store as a dataset using web scraping techniques through the Google Collaboration tool. The dataset contains 3250 rows spanning the period from January 22, 2024, through June 6, 2024. To ensure proper processing of the text, data cleaning, lowercasing, normalization, tokenization, stemming, and stopwords removal are conducted. The results show that most user opinions are negative. The InSet dictionary has an accuracy of 92%, SentiStrength-id 78%, Combined scenario 1 is 87%, and scenario 2 reaches the highest among others which is 92.52%. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's digitalization era, asset management has evolved following the rapid adoption of information systems and digital technologies. In the maintenance phase of the asset, Digital Twin (DT) emerges as an effective approach to improve failure recognition and structural damage prediction through DT-driven Prognostic and Health Monitoring (PHM). As a result, DT allows asset manager to proactively plan maintenance strategy to improve the availability of the assets. However, to reduce asset downtime in a cost-effective and time efficient manner, DT for maintenance phase needs to be integrated with other software systems that manage the provision of maintenance service and spare part such as computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Nevertheless, many of the developed DT in PHM were not equipped with semantic data model and hence, lacks interoperability with other systems (e.g., other DT or non-DT system) and limits the effective use of the DT. To qualify as an effective DT, it needs a semantical-enabled interface to connect with data and models from various domain to enable DT-driven decision-making. This paper leverages a rule-based ontology reasoning model to enhance DT interoperability with other maintenance software systems. The results depicts that the developed model paves a way for an effective use of DT-driven system in asset maintenance management. © 2022 IEEE.

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a prevalent mental disorder, affecting a significant number of individuals, with estimates reaching 300 million cases worldwide. Currently, the diagnosis of this condition relies heavily on subjective assessments based on the experience of medical professionals. Therefore, researchers have turned to deep learning models to explore the detection of depression. The objective of this review is to gather information on detecting depression based on facial expressions in videos using deep learning techniques. Overall, this research found that RNN models achieved 7.22 MAE for AVEC2014. LSTM models produced 4.83 MAE for DAIC-WOZ, while GRU models achieved an accuracy of 89.77% for DAIC-WOZ. Features like Facial Action Units (FAU), eye gaze, and landmarks show great potential and need to be further analyzed to improve results. Analysis can include applying feature engineering techniques. Aggregation methods, such as mean calculation, are recommended as effective approaches for data processing. This Systematic Literature Review found that facial expressions do have relevant patterns related to MDD. © 2023 IEEE.

Industry 4.0 will bring not only transformation to the manufacturing technologies but also to the profile of the workforce. Education system should be revised to prepare the future graduates embracing the knowledge of the ongoing revolution. Initiatives on the modification of curriculum and tools to deliver the concepts of Industry 4.0 must be taken. This paper examines limitations of current engineering tools and proposes a virtual reality (VR)-based learning platform to support the teaching and learning activity for Industry 4.0, focusing on the design of Human–robot Collaboration (HRC). The development process began with the identification of the general Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) which were extracted from the review of the HRC design issues, followed by the evaluation of the current teaching tool. From these results, the new requirements of the tools to achieve ILOs are redefined. The implementation of the system is demonstrated to show the feasibility of the proposed learning platform. This workflow can serve as initial development of another learning platform for the other innovative concepts that form the building blocks of Industry 4.0. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a debilitating inherited retinal disorder that affects a significant number of individuals worldwide. Existing diagnostic methods have limitations in detecting early-stage RP and they highlight the need for using additional imaging modalities. In this paper, a groundbreaking approach for RP diagnosis is proposed using three imaging modalities and a CNN-based classification model achieving 97.7% accuracy. The proposed model demonstrates superior performance compared to previous work as it achieves higher accuracy. A segmentation model was also proposed to segment pigment spots and provide doctors with effective monitoring of the disease. The proposed segmentation model outperforms previously used methods by achieving 99.61% accuracy and higher values in most of the performance metrics, including specificity, precision, and Area Under Curve (AUC). The Segmentation and classification models were integrated into a web application providing a user-friendly and intuitive tool for RP diagnosis and paving the way for more accessible and effective diagnostic tools. This innovative approach democratizes healthcare by making RP diagnosis affordable and accessible to more people and improving the speed of clinical decision-making. © 2023 IEEE.

Solar Dryer Dome (SDD), an agricultural facility for drying and preserving agricultural products, needs a smart ability to predict the future indoor climate accurately, including indoor temperature and indoor humidity, in order to optimize electricity usage. To overcome these challenges, deep learning has been a widely adopted method. This research aims to forecast the future indoor climate using time series data by implementing a sequence-to-sequence (seq2seq) architecture, which is mostly used in Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks. The two proposed seq2seq models, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) seq2seq and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) seq2seq, have proven to be superior to the adapted LSTM and GRU. The results show that the seq2seq GRU model outperforms the adapted GRU baseline model by an average difference of 0.03013 in MAE and the seq2seq LSTM model outperforms the adapted LSTM baseline model by an average difference of 0.00941 in MAE. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first implementation of seq2seq models for indoor climate forecasting on the Room Climate dataset. © 2022 IEEE.

Mechanically-driven growth and competition in a Voronoi model of tissues

The mechanisms leading cells to acquire a fitness advantage and establish themselves in a population are paramount to understanding the development and growth of cancer. Although there are many works that study separately either the evolutionary dynamics or the mechanics of cancer, little has been done to couple evolutionary dynamics to mechanics. To address this question, we study a confluent model of tissue using a Self-Propelled Voronoi (SPV) model with stochastic growth rates that depend on the mechanical variables of the system. The SPV model is an out-of-equilibrium model of tissue derived from an energy functional that has a jamming/unjamming transition between solid-like and liquid-like states. By considering several scenarios of mutants invading a resident population in both phases, we determine the range of parameters that confer a fitness advantage and show that the preferred area and perimeter are the most relevant ones. We find that the liquid-like state is more resistant to invasion and show that the outcome of the competition can be determined from the simulation of a non-growing mixture. Moreover, a mean-field approximation can accurately predict the fate of a mutation affecting mechanical properties of a cell. Our results can be used to infer evolutionary dynamics from tissue images, understand cancer-suppressing effects of tissue mechanics, and even search for mechanics-based therapies. © 2024, CC BY.

Defects in gastric progenitor cell differentiation are associated with various gastric disorders, including atrophic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia, and gastric cancer. However, the mechanisms underlying the multilineage differentiation of gastric progenitor cells during healthy homeostasis remain poorly understood. Here, using a single-cell RNA sequencing method, Quartz-Seq2, we analyzed the gene expression dynamics of progenitor cell differentiation toward pit cell, neck cell, and parietal cell lineages in healthy adult mouse corpus tissues. Enrichment analysis of pseudotime-dependent genes and a gastric organoid assay revealed that EGFR-ERK signaling promotes pit cell differentiation, whereas NF-κB signaling maintains gastric progenitor cells in an undifferentiated state. In addition, pharmacological inhibition of EGFR in vivo resulted in a decreased number of pit cells. Although activation of EGFR signaling in gastric progenitor cells has been suggested as one of the major inducers of gastric cancers, our findings unexpectedly identified that EGFR signaling exerts a differentiation-promoting function, not a mitogenic function, in normal gastric homeostasis.

Precise predictions of indoor climate conditions are required in the implementation of Smart Solar Dryer Dome (SDD). Trend development of prediction models is discussed in this review from 15 selected research papers (2018-2022) on indoor climate prediction which was obtained from research paper databases The output shows that the most used model for predicting indoor climate is Artificial Neural Network (ANN), especially Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) such as LSTM and GRU. However, there are some potential methods such as Transformer, Combined Support Vector Machines (SVM)-Deep Learning, and sequence-to-sequence which could outperform other commonly used models. Based on findings various opportunities exist to improve the precision of indoor climate prediction, which can bring power consumption efficiency and others benefit to Smart SDD users. Such studies may further be explored to produce more accurate machine learning models. © 2022 IEEE.

Multiplexed fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is a widely used approach for analyzing three-dimensional genome organization, but it is challenging to derive chromosomal conformations from noisy fluorescence signals, and tracing chromatin is not straightforward. Here we report a spatial genome aligner that parses true chromatin signal from noise by aligning signals to a DNA polymer model. Using genomic distances separating imaged loci, our aligner estimates spatial distances expected to separate loci on a polymer in three-dimensional space. Our aligner then evaluates the physical probability observed signals belonging to these loci are connected, thereby tracing chromatin structures. We demonstrate that this spatial genome aligner can efficiently model chromosome architectures from DNA FISH data across multiple scales and be used to predict chromosome ploidies de novo in interphase cells. Reprocessing of previous whole-genome chromosome tracing data with this method indicates the spatial aggregation of sister chromatids in S/G2 phase cells in asynchronous mouse embryonic stem cells and provides evidence for extranumerary chromosomes that remain tightly paired in postmitotic neurons of the adult mouse cortex.
