In this paper, we establish the exploitation of continuous harvest of predator and prey with stage-structures. We investigate the properties of harvesting multispecies systems. With some special methods, we obtain boundedness and global attractiveness of all the nonnegative equilibria for proportional harvest. Finally, we solve the problem of optimal harvest policy using Pontragin's maximal principle.

It is related to watershed algorithms developed in image processing but is closer to its math.matical roots, which are Morse theory and homological algebra. It allows for the implicit treatment of an underlying mesh, thus combining the structural integrity of its math.matical foundations with the comput.tional efficiency of image processing.

Superresolution reconstruction produces a high resolution image from a set of low resolution images. Previous work on superresolution had not adequately addressed the comput.tional issues for this problem. In this paper, we propose efficient block circulant preconditioners for solving the regularized superresolution problem by conjugate gradients. The effectiveness of the preconditioners is demonstrated with superresolution results for a simulated image sequence and a FLIR image sequence.

Information-centric networking (ICN) is a promising approach for wireless communication because users can exploit the broadcast nature of the wireless medium to quickly find desired content at nearby nodes. However, wireless multi-hop communication is prone to collisions and it is crucial to quickly detect and react to them to optimize transmission times and avoid spurious retransmissions. Several adaptive retransmission timers have been used in related ICN literature but they have not been compared and evaluated in wireless multi-hop environments. In this work, we evaluate existing algorithms in wireless multi-hop communication. We find that existing algorithms are not optimized for wireless communication but slight modifications can result in considerably better performance without increasing the number of transmitted Interests.

This paper attempts to give a hardware based practical overview about cheating prevention of information hiding technique using Steganography and Visual Cryptographic Schemes (VCS). A combined technique have been proposed here, which allows visual information (e.g. printed text, handwritten notes, and images) to be distributed into 'n' secret shares as transparencies and embedding message into share became stego share for share authentication. Finally each of these stego shares embeds into a cover image using hardware module. At the time of recovering the receiver first decode each stego shares from the cover work than extract secret message from share to prevent cheating. The original secret message can be retrieve by overlapping the shares. The proposed encoding and decoding scheme for share generation is implemented in software module and embedding of message into share and stego share into cover image are implemented in hardware-based system for 2-D images.

The topics discussed here are network models of object recognition; a comput.tional theory of recognition; psychophysical support for a view-interpolation model: and an open issue, features of recognition. The authors survey a successful replication of central characteristics of performance in 3-D object recognition by a comput.tional model based on interpolation among a number of stored views of each object. Network models of 3-D object recognition based on interpolation among specific stored views behave in several respects similarly to human observers in a number of recognition tasks. Even closer replication of human performance in recognition should be expected, once the issue of the features used to represent object views is resolved.< >
