Student's Single Tuition Fee or Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) is a subsidy policy in higher education by the Indonesian government. This policy regulates the tuition fees incurred by each student at each semester in every higher education institutions. Since the cost of UKT expenses is influenced by the financial ability of each student, therefore the cost of education among students must be grouped into several classes. Until recently, there has been no standard to make such classification whereas such determination is an important task to solve by every higher institution in Indonesia. This study aims to compare five data mining classification algorithms (Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Multinomial Naïve Bayes, Bernoulli Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree and SVM) to find the best algorithm for the case of determining the UKT classes. The experiment is conducted using 230 training data and 10-fold cross-validation evaluation. Based on the result, Decision Tree managed to obtain average accuracy value of 0.814 or 81.4%. Finally, Decision Tree is used to classify the UKT classes of3258 data of students.

Brain growth charts and age-normed brain templates are essential resources for researchers to eventually contribute to the care of individuals with atypical developmental *** present work generates age-normed brain templates for children and adolescents at one-year intervals and the corresponding growth charts to investigate the influences of age and ethnicity using a common pediatric neuroimaging *** accelerated longitudinal cohorts with the identical experimental design were implemented in the United States and *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)of typically developing school-age children(TDC)was obtained up to three times at nominal intervals of1.25 *** protocol generated and compared population-and age-specific brain templates and growth charts,respectively.A total of 674 Chinese pediatric MRI scans were obtained from 457 Chinese TDC and 190 American pediatric MRI scans were obtained from 133 American ***-and age-specific brain templates were used to quantify warp cost,the differences between individual brains and brain *** growth charts for labeled brain network areas were *** analyses of cost functions supported the necessity of age-specific and ethnicitymatched brain templates,which was confirmed by growth chart *** analyses revealed volumetric growth differences between the two ethnicities primarily in lateral frontal and parietal areas,regions which are most variable across individuals in regard to their structure and ***-and ethnicity-specific brain templates facilitate establishing unbiased pediatric brain growth charts,indicating the necessity of the brain charts and brain templates generated in *** templates and growth charts as well as related codes have been made freely available to the public for open neuroscience(https://***/zuoxinian/CCS/tree/master/H3/Growth Charts).

Non-reciprocal hyperbolic propagation over moving metasurfaces

Hyperbolic propagation offers exciting opportunities in nanophotonics, from sub-diffraction imaging to enhanced local density of states. This transport regime is typically induced by strong modulation of conductivity, i.e., with alternating metallic and dielectric material properties. Here, we analyze a moving impedance surface, showing that suitably tailored homogeneous metasurfaces can support one-way hyperbolic propagation when in motion, adding non-reciprocity to hyperbolic propagation phenomena, and without suffering from nonlocal effects stemming from discretization or finite granularity of the surface. Highly confined surface waves present unique opportunities to enhance light interactions with localized emitters or molecules. Hyperbolic dispersion in metasurfaces allows us to tailor and manipulate surface waves, enhancing the local density of states over broad bandwidths. So far, propagation on this platform was mainly studied in planar geometries, which facilitates the analysis but somehow limits the realm of possibilities. Here we show that "wrapping" hyperbolic metasurfaces into tubes may greatly enrich the wave propagation dynamics along their axis. This system shows strong interaction with fields and sources carrying optical angular momentum, pronounced field asymmetries, and opens pathways to valley-specific excitation and routing. In addition, we demonstrate that various parameter regimes enable strong spin/helicity – momentum locking. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

N-Acyl lipids are important mediators of several biological processes including immune function and stress response. To enhance the detection of N-acyl lipids with untargeted mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, we created a reference spectral library retrieving N-acyl lipid patterns from 2,700 public datasets, identifying 851 N-acyl lipids that were detected 356,542 times. 777 are not documented in lipid structural databases, with 18% of these derived from short-chain fatty acids and found in the digestive tract and other organs. Their levels varied with diet and microbial colonization and in people living with diabetes. We used the library to link microbial N-acyl lipids, including histamine and polyamine conjugates, to HIV status and cognitive impairment. This resource will enhance the annotation of these compounds in future studies to further the understanding of their roles in health and disease and to highlight the value of large-scale untargeted metabolomics data for metabolite discovery.

The emergence of SARS-CoV in 2002 and SARS-CoV-2 in 2019 led to increased sampling of sarbecoviruses circulating in horseshoe bats. Employing phylogenetic inference while accounting for recombination of bat sarbecoviruses, we find that the closest-inferred bat virus ancestors of SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 existed less than a decade prior to their emergence in humans. Phylogeographic analyses show bat sarbecoviruses traveled at rates approximating their horseshoe bat hosts and circulated in Asia for millennia. We find that the direct ancestors of SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 are unlikely to have reached their respective sites of emergence via dispersal in the bat reservoir alone, supporting interactions with intermediate hosts through wildlife trade playing a role in zoonotic spillover. These results can guide future sampling efforts and demonstrate that viral genomic regions extremely closely related to SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 were circulating in horseshoe bats, confirming their importance as the reservoir species for SARS viruses. © 2025 The Authors

In this research, the determination of the appropriate values of Gap for the assessment of promotion criteria of position in an institution / company. In this study the authors use Fuzzy Sugeno logic on the determination of Gap values used in Profile Matching method. Test results of 5 employees obtained the eligibility of promotion with the position of Z* values between in 3.20 to 4.11.

We propose a new similarity measure, Combined Connectivity and Spatial Adjacency (CCSA), to be used in hierarchical agglomerative clustering (HAC) for automated segmentation of Self-Organizing Maps (SOMs, Kohonen [1]). The CCSA measure is specifically designed to assist segmentation of large, complex, functional image data by exploiting general spatial characteristics of such data. The proposed CCSA measure is constructed from two strong indicators of cluster structure: the degree of localization of data points in physical space and the degree of connectivity of SOM prototypes (as defined by Tasdemir and Merényi [2]). The new measure is expected to enhance cluster capture in large functional image data cubes such as hyperspectral imagery or fMRI brain images, where many relevant clusters exist with widely varying statistical properties and in complex relationships both in feature space and in physical (image) space. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach using the CCSA measure on progressively complex synthetic spatial data and on real fMRI brain data. © 2017 IEEE.

Cryptography is the science and art of maintaining the security of messages when messages are sent from one place to another. One of the ways securing the form of text message information is by the encryption process using the Vigenere Cipher algorithm and utilizing the One Time Pad (OTP) algorithm as a key generator, where the message will be random when it is opened. The message encryption process used the vigenere cipher algorithm while OTP is used to secure the key with the same formula. After this research has been done, an application was designed to secure text messages by converting the text message into a random message so that the message was unreadable due to a secret message that could not be known by others. The results achieved can secure an encrypted message that cannot be reopened and if those messages were reopened, they must be decrypted.

Hearing-impaired individuals have much more difficulty, then normal hearing individuals, with speech intelligibility in cocktail party situations. Hence, the overall research goal is to improve intelligibility of speech and to enhance spatial hearing of hearing aids in these situations. It is known that spatial audio leads to improved speech intelligibility. As a step towards this goal, source separation algorithms were investigated. In particular, the DUET Blind Source Separation (BSS) algorithm was modified to automatically extract speech sources in a simulated auditory scene.
