The Cloud Gaming model emerges with the evolution of the Cloud Computing and communication technologies. Through smartphones, PCs, tablets, consoles and other devices, people can access and use games on demand via data streaming, regardless the computing power of these devices. The Internet is the fundamental way of communication between the device and the game, which is hosted on a environment known as Cloud, enabling a large scale offer. The variety, volume, velocity, value and veracity (Big Data 5Vs) of data that is involved in these Cloud environments exceed the limits of analysis and manipulation of conventional tools, therefore, Big Data platforms are required to handle and interpret this data. The model known as Big Data Analytics is an effective and capable way to, not only work with these data, but understand its meaning, providing inputs for assertive analysis and predictive actions. A method is presented in this study to identify and analyze players' patterns in a virtual environment. With this information, it is possible to optimize user experience, revenue for developers and raise the level of control over the environment. Results are presented based on a dataset of the World of Warcraft game. By using a neural network, it was possible to identify with an average of 91% of accuracy the players' assiduity based on patterns in the game. Using the Hadoop technology and visualization tools on a Cloud based cluster, it was possible to map and identify the players' behaviors as well as their gameplay patterns.

Affective computing, particularly emotion and personality trait recognition, is of increasing interest in many research disciplines. The interplay of emotion and personality shows itself in the first impression left on other people. Moreover, the ambient information, e.g. the environment and objects surrounding the subject, also affect these impressions. In this work, we employ pre-trained Deep Convolutional Neural Networks to extract facial emotion and ambient information from images for predicting apparent personality. We also investigate Local Gabor Binary Patterns from Three Orthogonal Planes video descriptor and acoustic features extracted via the popularly used openSMILE tool. We subsequently propose classifying features using a Kernel Extreme Learning Machine and fusing their predictions. The proposed system is applied to the ChaLearn Challenge on First Impression Recognition, achieving the winning test set accuracy of 0.913, averaged over the “Big Five” personality traits.

A quasi-Z-source modular cascaded converter (qZS-MCC) is proposed for high-voltage (HV) dc integration of photovoltaic (PV) power. The qZS-MCC comprises frontend isolated qZS half-bridge (HB) dc-dc converter submodules (SMs) in series. By the qZS-HB handling PV voltage and power variations, a unified duty cycle is applicable for the front-end isolation converter of all SMs. Resultantly, the proposed system improves the quasi-Z-source cascaded multilevel inverter and the modular multilevel converter based PV counterparts in terms of no double-line-frequency pulsating power so as to low qZS impedance, HV dc collection of PV power thus to reduce conversion stages for dc transmission, and overcoming the limit of series-output voltage with simple galvanic isolation. Operating principle and power loss evaluation of the qZS-MCC are presented. Parameter design guidelines and simulation are addressed based on a 60-kW SM;experimental results are carried out on a downscaled prototype as a proof-of-concept, demonstrating the validity of the proposed system.

We have carried out experimental and numerical analyses for reconstruction of permittivity distribution using a pair of long distance small size electrodes and additional arc electrodes. A reconstruction method for permittivity distribution that uses a genetic algorithm and numerical analysis (finite element method) based on measured capacitance has been proposed and investigated. However, the conventional method had a problem in accuracy. In this paper, the reconstruction method has been improved by using a Parameter-free Genetic Algorithm(PfGA) based on measured capacitance and electric potential. Detection of oil pollution in soil has been carried out using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy（LIBS）. A pulsed neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet（Nd：YAG） laser（1,064 nm, 8 ns, 200 mJ） was focused onto pelletized soil samples. Emission spectra were obtained from oil-contaminated soil and clean soil. The contaminated soil had almost the same spectrum profile as the clean soil and contained the same major and minor elements. However, a C–H molecular band was clearly detected in the oil-contaminated soil, while no C–H band was detected in the clean soil. Linear calibration curve of the C–H molecular band was successfully made by using a soil sample containing various concentrations of oil. The limit of detection of the C–H band in the soil sample was 0.001 mL/g. Furthermore, the emission spectrum of the contaminated soil clearly displayed titanium（Ti） lines, which were not detected in the clean soil. The existence of the C–H band and Ti lines in oil-contaminated soil can be used to clearly distinguish contaminated soil from clean soil. For comparison, the emission spectra of contaminated and clean soil were also obtained using scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive X-ray（SEM/EDX） spectroscopy,showing that the spectra obtained using LIBS are much better than using SEM/EDX, as indicated by the signal to noise ratio（S/N ratio）.

We present the first analysis of the Euclid Early Release Observations (ERO) program that targets fields around two lensing clusters, Abell 2390 and Abell 2764. We use VIS and NISP imaging to produce photometric catalogs for a total of ∼ 500 000 objects. The imaging data reach a 5 σ typical depth in the range 25.1–25.4 AB in the NISP bands, and 27.1–27.3 AB in the VIS band. Using the Lyman-break method in combination with photometric redshifts, we search for high-redshift galaxies. We identify 30 Lyman-break galaxy (LBG) candidates at z > 6 and 139 extremely red sources (ERSs), most likely at lower redshift. The deeper VIS imaging compared to NISP means we can routinely identify high-redshift Lyman breaks of the order of 3 magnitudes, which reduces contamination by brown dwarf stars and low-redshift galaxies. The difficulty of spatially resolving most of these sources in 0′′ . 3 pix−1 imaging makes the distinction between galaxies and quasars more challenging. Spectroscopic followup campaigns of such bright sources will help constrain both the bright end of the ultraviolet galaxy luminosity function and the quasar luminosity function at z > 6, and constrain the physical nature of these objects. Additionally, we have performed a combined strong lensing and weak lensing analysis of A2390, and demonstrate how Euclid will contribute to better constraining the virial mass of galaxy clusters. From these data, we also identify optical and near-infrared counterparts of known z > 0.6 clusters, which exhibit strong lensing features, establishing the ability of Euclid to characterize high-redshift clusters. Finally, we provide a glimpse of Euclid’s ability to map the intracluster light out to larger radii than current facilities, enabling a better understanding of the cluster assembly history and mapping of the dark matter distribution. Context. Number counts of galaxy clusters across redshift are a powerful cosmological probe, if a precise and accurate reconstruction of the underlying mass distribution is performed - a challenge called mass calibration. With the advent of wide and deep photometric surveys, weak gravitational lensing by clusters has become the method of choice to perform this measurement. Aims. We measure and validate the weak gravitational lensing (WL) signature in the shape of galaxies observed in the first 3 years of the Dark Energy Survey (DES Y3) caused by galaxy clusters and groups selected in the first all-sky survey performed by SRG (Spectrum Roentgen Gamma)/eROSITA (eRASS1). These data are then used to determine the scaling between X-ray photon count rate of the clusters and their halo mass and redshift. Methods. We empirically determine the degree of cluster member contamination in our background source sample. The individual cluster shear profiles are then analysed with a Bayesian population model that self-consistently accounts for the lens sample selection and contamination, and includes marginalization over a host of instrumental and astrophysical systematics. To quantify the accuracy of the mass extraction of that model, we perform mass measurements on mock cluster catalogs with realistic synthetic shear profiles. This paper presents the application program of fingerprint detection using wavelet transform for authentication. Fingerprints are obtained from the site of crime, old documents and excavated things. This paper proposes a fingerprint recognition technique based on wavelet-based texture pattern recognition method. By collecting incomplete fingerprints of 2 people with 6 images each. The original seven of uncompleted fingerprint images were undetected and only one was detected. After enhancing image quality using wavelet transform method, it was found that those of seven images were completed. The comparison method was a matching technique. This work focuses on the ability of the program and knowledge of image processing by studying algorithms of image processing. In design algorithm process, different technique enhancements were employed as well as the study of different of filters and algorithms based on existing research results from literature. © 2016 IEEE.

It is a whole philosophy that explores a human-citizen centered aspect in organized societies. Further, successful information system determined by user acceptance. Therefore, the evaluation of the performance of e-Government is one of the basic objectives of current government reformation. The research focus is to identify and explore the extent of user acceptance toward e-Government system. The research methodology used in this research is survey based on a questionnaire with TRAM approach and distributed to 230 respondents as customers that had been using e-Government services provided by X institution. The result of the study showed that the personality traits of TR significantly influenced cognitive dimensions of TAM. Through empirical demonstrations indicated that the TRI was said to be antecedents to TAM. The optimism dimension had higher coefficient among others, exhibit the technology users convince that the new technology will improve their productivity, while discomfort had no impact since the users have no doubt or hesitate to use technology.
