Smart Home technology offers technological concepts that can be controlled through smart devices to make it easier for the community. Therefore, smart home technology is starting to seize the home electronics market in Indonesia, especially in the city of Jakarta. This study aims to determine the integration of conventional technology into smart home technology for people in Jakarta. The research model in this study uses UTAUT2 which analyzes nine variables, namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Cost, Perceived Ease of Use, Social Influence, Perceived Compatibility, Trust, Perceived Pleasure, and Effort Expectations, Intention to Use Smart Home technology. After the responses were received, data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM approach with the SmartPLS application. The results of this study show that there are many people who live in Jakarta who are helped by the presence of smart home technology. However, there are some people who don't really know how to use a smart home because of a lack of knowledge about this technology. © 2023 IEEE.

There has been a lack of both educational focus on computational thinking (CT) and research into effective methods of assessing CT competence. This research takes a comprehensive look at the methods used to grade CT in higher education. This study examines the use of educational robotics (ER) as a teaching strategy in higher education, with particular attention to how undergraduate students might respond differently to this kind of learning. Students collaborate using artificial intelligence to find out how to program robots (start installing, interact, sharing information, feedback, and evaluate). Of 181 undergraduates’ students from Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, Pakistan, the Philippines, Egypt, Algeria, Lesoto, Cameron, Bangladesh, Sudan, Uganda, Portugal, Ukraine, Pakistan, and England make up the study groups. These students are enrolled in the first semester of the 2022 academic year. In this work, researchers employed a quantitative method technique. During the exercise, the participants were closely monitored to assess their performance in relation to the core CT constructs in the robotics class. These constructs include confidence in dealing with complexity, persistence in problem-solving, tolerance for ambiguity, ability to handle open-ended problems, effective communication skills, and teamwork abilities. In order to enhance the implementation of strategic initiatives. To facilitate more strategic learning, this study found that the use of visual robotics of artificial intelligence helped to developing CT and the respondents strong believe it to increase students’ confidence in dealing with complexity, persistence in working through difficult questions, tolerance for ambiguity, ability to handle open problems, communication skills, and teamwork. Widyaiswara is required to show the best performance to fulfill his duties and obligations. Therefore, it is very important to measure the performance of the Widyaiswara, so that it can be used as evaluation material by the BPSDM PROVSU. However, the assessment process that occurs is still not precise and time-consuming. Therefore, to minimize this, a decision support system is needed that can minimize time errors and data processing in decision-making so that the assessment runs well and accurately. This system was built by applying the WASPAS method and the TOPSIS method. Based on the results of tests carried out five times, the results of the WASPAS method processing time resulted in an average processing time of 0.00029791 ms and an average memory usage value of 2.836.44 kb, while the results of the TOPSIS method processing time test resulted in an average processing time - an average of 0.000296428 ms and an average memory usage value of 2.862.34 kb. © 2022 IEEE.

Using MD5 hashing of passwords in web logins is highly vulnerable to dictionary attacks. One online application for cracking hashed passwords using a dictionary attack that is free and easy to use is ***. Even so, the use of hashing passwords using MD5 which has a low level of security is still commonly found to secure web login passwords. This research presents an increase in security through a combination of salt hash passwords when using MD5. The methodology of this study uses a quantitative experimental method to apply hash salt passwords using the MD5 combination. The password cracking test was carried out using the *** online hash cracking application on weak passwords such as 'admin' with the addition of a password hash salt using the MD5 combination. The results showed that Salt Password using the MD5 combination could not be cracked by *** using a dictionary attack. © 2023 IEEE.

This research article presents a modified isolated SEPIC converter suitable for high-power applications. It uses a transformer instead of coupled inductor for isolation between the input power source and the output load. The steady-state analysis is explained in detail. Thermal loss analysis is performed by using PLECS software. Further, a hardware prototype is developed to verify the performance aspects of the proposed converter. © 2023 IEEE.

Bi-isotropic and bi-anisotropic materials are expected to revolutionize wireless communications through the extended use of metasurfaces. This paper proposes a time-domain integral equation solver to simulate non-dispersive biisotropic materials under the thin-sheet approximation. Thin-sheet approximation is used to convert the time-domain volume integral equation for non-dispersive bi-isotropic media into a surface integral equation. This surface equation is discretized in space using Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) basis functions for the tangential components of the electric and magnetic fluxes and pulse basis functions for their normal components (relative to the surface of the thin sheet). In time, shifted Lagrange polynomials are used for discretization. Applying Galerkin testing in space and point matching in time yields a matrix system. This matrix system is solved for the unknown basis expansion coefficients at each time step via time-marching. Numerical results demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method. Future work includes extending this solver to dispersive bi-anisotropic media and use it in the simulation of metasurface represented by generalized sheet transition conditions (GSTCs).

Several recent studies have elucidated why knowledge distillation (KD) improves model performance. However, few have researched the other advantages of KD in addition to its improving model performance. In this study, we have attempted to show that KD enhances the interpretability as well as the accuracy of models. We measured the number of concept detectors identified in network dissection for a quantitative comparison of model interpretability. We attributed the improvement in interpretability to the class-similarity information transferred from the teacher to student models. First, we confirmed the transfer of class-similarity information from the teacher to student model via logit distillation. Then, we analyzed how class-similarity information affects model interpretability in terms of its presence or absence and degree of similarity information. We conducted various quantitative and qualitative experiments and examined the results on different datasets, different KD methods, and according to different measures of interpretability. Diabetic Retinopathy is one of the main causes of vision loss and can be identified through ophthalmological exams that aim to locate the presence of retinal lesions such as microaneurysms, hemorrhages, soft exudates, and hard exudates. The development of computerized methods to perform the instance segmentation of lesions may support in the early diagnosis of the disease. However, the instance segmentation of retinal artifacts is a complex task due to factors such as the size of objects and their morphological characteristics. This article proposes a method based on a Mask R-CNN neural network architecture to perform instance segmentation of lesions associated with diabetic retinopathy. The proposed method was trained, adjusted, and tested using the public DDR and IDRiD Diabetic Retinopathy datasets, and implemented with the Detectron2 and OpenCV libraries. The proposed method reached in the DDR dataset, using the SGD optimizer, the mAP of 0.2660 for the limit of I oU of 0.5 in the validation step. The results obtained in the experiments demonstrate that the proposed method showed promising results in the instance segmentation of fundus lesions. © 2022 IEEE.

Extended reality in education has advanced, offering safe, immersive simulations. Agriculture, a key area, lacks urban exposure. HoloFarm, a VR-based farming simulation, addresses this gap using Unity and C#. It integrates physical movement, joystick navigation, and spatial audio for crop cultivation. Evaluated with 27 urban users via the Igroup Presence Questionnaire, it showed strong spatial (M=5.59) and general presence (M=5.81), though realism (M=4.10) and involvement (M=4.77). Future updates will enhance realism and enable collaborative learning, bridging theoretical and practical agricultural knowledge. © 2025 The Author(s)

Lilies are popular in the global flower market, but consumers often lack information about specific varieties. To address this issue, this paper proposes a computer recognition platform based on the Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture. The proposed platform uses an improved vision transformer (ViT) architecture to classify different types of lilies, allowing consumers to access information and names of various Lilium species. The experimental results show that the proposed lily classification model achieved a 96.4% accuracy rate in classifying six lily species.
