A vast number of spatiotemporal datasets collected from a wide range of sources has motivated scientists to develop effective approaches to identify interesting patterns hidden in these datasets. In this respect, kernel density estimators, which belong to a class of non-parametric estimators in statistics, have been widely exploited in recent years. With this background, we have developed a novel kernel density estimator aiming to provide accurate analysis results. According to the evaluation with a real spatiotemporal dataset, which collected emergency medical service records in a county in the United States, the proposed kernel density estimator can approximate the probability density function significantly more accurately than a conventional kernel density estimator. Furthermore, we have exploited the proposed kernel density estimator to identify interesting patterns hidden in the real spatiotemporal dataset.

Introducing training-time augmentations is a key technique to enhance generalization and prepare deep neural networks against testtime corruptions. Inspired by the success of generative diffusion models, we propose a novel approach of coupling data mollification, in the form of image noising and blurring, with label smoothing to align predicted label confidences with image degradation. The method is simple to implement, introduces negligible overheads, and can be combined with existing augmentations. We demonstrate improved robustness and uncertainty quantification on the corrupted image benchmarks of the CIFAR and TinyImageNet datasets. © 2024, CC BY.

This research introduces a pioneering framework for flame, smoke detection, and personnel monitoring, developed to address the increasing frequency of fire-related incidents in Taiwan. These incidents have caused significant loss of life and property damage. To tackle these issues, we employ YOLOv4-Tiny and DeepSort technologies to detect flames, smoke, and monitor personnel within surveillance footage, providing essential information to users. Unlike previous studies, this system integrates flame and smoke detection with personnel monitoring, enhancing rescue efficiency and ensuring personnel safety. During testing, the system effectively analyzed danger levels, monitored personnel, and provided necessary information. However, smoke can reduce the accuracy of personnel monitoring, so future research will aim to improve this issue and optimize the detection and identification of individuals moving between different footage. In summary, this investigation proposes a system that analyzes danger levels and monitors personnel in fire scenes. A survey of firefighters and security personnel concluded that this system helps improve rescue efficiency and reduce personnel loss due to fire incidents.

In this era of digital world information, farmers face challenges about information management of huge data and the complexity of processes in precision farming. The data collection carried out so far can cause several difficulties, especially if the data is needed by the government or academics to support decision-making. Agricultural data collection applications only cover 12% of the market share of Android-based agriculture-based applications. In this study, Tani Milenial application is present as an alternative to support agricultural data collection activities in Indonesia. This application encourages farmers to be active and contribute independently to their role as subjects of agricultural development and is accustomed to digitally recording their agricultural activities. In this developed application system, the community, especially farmers and farmer groups, will find it easier to get information about agricultural potential data around where they carry out agricultural activities and can access this information online. Tani Milenial works as a guide to help farmers and transform agriculture but still have some gaps which should be checked and removed. The data collected can be used by various parties for research and decision-making. The app can be further improved to develop new features related to education, market information, and goods. © 2022 IEEE.

Surveillance server technology was growth with new technology, effective, extra new features, human friendly, and human deals with big amount data, can't view and collect the data in the short time, and took time to analyze, playback video/picture to determine machine, human, vehicle or environment issues or performance, Surveillance Server Systems now which has the ability to face recognition, face detection, human detection, motion detection, license plate recognition, The authors perform this study that still new this research has never been done before to determine the efficacy of the LSTM in predicting human behavior (Long Short Term Memory) Face Detection on Server surveillance system, by taking log view data with a total of 91501 Face detection data downloaded from 10/18/2022~11/9/2022, the data will be processed using Python programming and training so that it can be used to predict the future regarding human activities that vary utilizing time series prediction LSTM include the number of daily activities, the highest and lowest numbers of days, and the maximum and minimum numbers of days. from the results of this study it was found to help to find out the days with the lowest number of humans and the days with the highest number of human activities, so that the owner can predict with sequence of the data the service would be provided when human activity is high in certain area or certain day, it can also can find out the maximum or minimum amount human counting day by day, and compare able some different date and location, the author will continue to do more in-depth research the others data related with prediction with deep learning server surveillance machine system interaction with human, vehicle behavior in the future studies.

KISS-Matcher: Fast and Robust Point Cloud Registration Revisited

While global point cloud registration systems have advanced significantly in all aspects, many studies have focused on specific components, such as feature extraction, graph-theoretic pruning, or pose solvers. In this paper, we take a holistic view on the registration problem and develop an open-source and versatile C++ library for point cloud registration, called KISS-Matcher. KISS-Matcher combines a novel feature detector, Faster-PFH, that improves over the classical fast point feature histogram (FPFH). Moreover, it adopts a k-core-based graph-theoretic pruning to reduce the time complexity of rejecting outlier correspondences. Finally, it combines these modules in a complete, user-friendly, and ready-to-use pipeline. As verified by extensive experiments, KISS-Matcher has superior scalability and broad applicability, achieving a substantial speedup compared to state-of-the-art outlier-robust registration pipelines while preserving accuracy. We do everything online. We shop, plan travel, invest, socialize, and even hold garage sales. Even though we may not care whether a company operates online or in the physical world-the distinction has important consequences for the companies themselves. Online and offline entities are governed by different rules. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, online entities-but not physical-world entities-are immune from lawsuits related to content authored by their users or customers. As a result, online entities have been able to avoid claims for harms caused by their negligence and defective product designs simply because they operate online. The reason for the disparate treatment is the internet's dramatic evolution over the last two decades. The internet of 1996 served as an information repository and communications channel and was well governed by Section 230, which treats internet entities as another form of mass media. Because Facebook, Twitter, and other online companies could not possibly review the mass of content that flows through their systems, Section 230 immunizes them from claims related to user content. But content distribution is not the internet's only function, and it is even less so now than it was in 1996. The internet also operates as a platform for the delivery of real-world goods and services and requires a correspondingly diverse immunity doctrine. This Article proposes refining online immunity by limiting it to claims that threaten to impose a content-moderation burden on internet defendants. Where a claim is preventable other than by content moderation-for example, by redesigning an app or website-a plaintiff could freely seek relief, just as in the physical world. This approach empowers courts to identify culpable actors in the virtual world and treat like conduct alike wherever it occurs. © 2023, CC BY.

In this paper we consider the filtering of a class of partially observed piecewise deterministic Markov processes (PDMPs). In particular, we assume that an ordinary differential equation (ODE) drives the deterministic element and can only be solved numerically via a time discretization. We develop, based upon the approach in [20], a new particle and multilevel particle filter (MLPF) in order to approximate the filter associated to the discretized ODE. We provide a bound on the mean square error associated to the MLPF which provides guidance on setting the simulation parameter of that algorithm and implies that significant computational gains can be obtained versus using a particle filter. In smart factories, an increasing number of mobile intelligent devices are deployed to meet the growing demands for flexible manufacturing. These devices, equipped with various sensors, synchronize a substantial amount of data with cloud servers for real-time monitoring and control. Fifth generation mobile networks (5G) combined with multi-access edge computing (MEC) provide the capabilities for multiple connections, large-scale data transmission, and efficient response times, becoming the mainstream network architectures for the needs. Additionally, with the emerging trend of energy-saving, recent works have addressed energy consumption as a significant cost factor. However, most previous studies tended to focus solely on cloud servers, neglecting energy consumption at edge computing and underestimating the impact of heterogeneous mobile device. As the scope of smart factory networks continues to expand, the challenges become increasingly critical. This study presents a private 5G MEC system architecture tailored for smart panel factories. The concerned problem is formulated as an integer programming model, which determines deployment locations and quantities for MEC servers and 5G small cells, including picocells and femtocells, so as to minimize the overall deployment costs while meeting the constraints of connectivity, capacity, latency, coverage, serviceability, and energy consumption. Since the edge server deployment problem is NP-hard, this study further proposes a hybrid metaheuristic algorithm, CSAVNS, which combines the strengths of crow search algorithm (CSA) and variable neighborhood search (VNS). In the global search phase of CSA, the VNS local search is introduced to enhance the algorithm's capabilities. Experimental analysis demonstrates that the proposed CSAVNS outperforms other algorithms in terms of solution solving capabilities. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd
