This systematic literature review (SLR) study aims to analyze the role of New Media as a Tool to Improve Creative Thinking, with relevant articles from 2018 to 2023 taken from reputable international journals. It uses three research questions (RQ) to explore New Media's relevance in stimulating creativity. The results indicate that interactive platforms such as social media and online collaboration tools positively influence creative thinking skills. Interaction through New Media allows individuals to share ideas, discuss, and be exposed to various points of view, all of which stimulate creative thinking. In addition, New Media also facilitates the creative process of solving problems and generating original ideas. The immersive experiences offered by this technology can enhance the exploration of ideas and increase the ability to think out-of-the-box. While New Media offers great potential to enhance creativity, there are also potential risks, such as false information, media addiction, and privacy concerns. Therefore, awareness of the wise use of New Media needs to be increased, especially in education and everyday life. Overall, this literature review provides in-depth insight into the role of New Media in enhancing creative thinking skills and driving innovation. With the right approach, New Media can be an effective tool in stimulating creative thinking and encouraging the creation of original ideas beneficial for future social and technological developments. © 2023 IEEE.

Corrosion poses a significant challenge in industries due to material degradation and high maintenance costs, making effective inhibitors essential. Recent studies suggest expired pharmaceuticals as alternative corrosion inhibitors, but identifying the most efficient compounds can be time-consuming. This study applies machine learning models, particularly Gradient Boosting Regressor (GBR), to predict corrosion inhibition efficiency (CIE). The developed model is integrated into a web-based application, enabling real-time, accurate CIE predictions. Results show GBR as the more precise model for predicting CIE, with low error rates. The streamlit-based web application offers a user-friendly platform, facilitating quick identification of suitable inhibitors. It is flexible, supporting analysis beyond corrosion inhibitors, and significantly enhances the efficiency of the evaluation process. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The process of using ICT to provide services to the public is known as the Indonesian e-Government system, or Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE). The e-Government initiative in Jakarta Provincial Health Office involves enhancing collaboration among public health entities for efficient data exchange and streamlined processes, especially between the Provincial and District Health Offices, public hospitals, government clinics, and primary health care centers (Puskesmas). Achieving interoperability requires standardized protocols and a well-defined architectural model to integrate data seamlessly. This study presents a provincial-level architectural model focused on improving electronic health records interoperability, aiming to promote the adoption of the national Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) health information exchange platform and enhance the integrity of health data in Jakarta. The study methodology involves conducting literature reviews, observations, and discussions with representatives from healthcare facilities to develop the e-Government architecture model and prototype of the infrastructure layer aiming to facilitate the interoperability of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) across 93 healthcare facilities, all of which are part of the SPBE users. © 2024 IEEE.

Passenger transport is one of the most common ways of commuting in Taiwan. It plays an important role in the transportation system due to its large number of stations, dense frequency, and cheap transportation. Due to the unfriendly transportation environment and a large number of passengers, a blind spot of passenger transportation exists, which leads to traffic accidents at the station. We research to make the Bus Stop Passenger Detection System. Taking the object detection of Wheelchairs into consideration, it is more convenient to assist the disabled to find the passenger transportation system, which makes Taiwan's transportation system more convenient. © 2023 IEEE.

Nowadays, it cannot be denied that social media has been in many parts of people's lives, especially in entertainment, business and education. Public figures including politicians frequently use social platforms to connect with their audience, for example Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and etc. One of the most commonly used is a platform called Twitter or also known as X. It is a platform that people can share their opinions in short messages. Since there is an alphabet limitation, people can deliver and receive message rapidly. It is a perfect platform that we could use to update the real-time situations for example election, emergency alert, natural disasters and etc. According to its characteristic, it can be used as a data source for social media analytics, which involves collecting and analyzing data to perform business decisions. The social media analytics has become commonplace because the number of people using social media tends to increase every second. Specifically, Twitter sentiment analysis offers a quick and inexpensive tool for monitoring and predictions. In this work, Twitter is used as a data source to monitor and predict Thailand Election in 2023 because this election highly attracts attention from Thais and international. Moreover, Twitter is a significant platform that is used to debate about political events in Thailand. The result of this election potentially indicates Thailand's future, including economics, public health, environment, international relations and etc. Our work performs sentiment analysis to categorize the data and mainly focuses on extracting sentiment from text without considering semantic word relations and co-occurrences because it is appropriate and functional for Thai sentence analysis. This article describes the architecture of software services that provide registration of small boat data to build maritime safety. The proposed system architecture which so-called SIMKAPEL aims to support small boat registration for maritime safety. It is developed from a conventional service-oriented architecture (SOA) with an open standard for data interoperability between elements. The goal of this research is to implement and evaluate the proposed architecture to support small boat registration and e-certification. Several parts of the architecture have been implemented as a platform that provides core services and data sources to be used by Ministry of Transportation, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, and other government agencies. Finally, the proposed SIMKAPEL platform with the SOA architecture is evaluated for its benefits to users through the expert opinion survey to measure its efficiency. The analysis results showed that SOA-based SIMKAPEL is feasible to use as a boat e-certification system. Furthermore, experiment results provide three parameters (e.g., maritime safety, namely, cargo/passengers, boat safety facilities, and maritime safety systems) with efficiency values of 42%, 46%, and 42%, respectively. The parameter with the highest efficiency shows a big effect on the level of safety of the boat and passengers. Thus, the parameters that need to be prioritized and need boat owners’ attention are cargo/passenger, boat safety equipment, and maritime safety system. © 2023, The Author(s).

Batik is a cultural heritage of Indonesia, recognized by WHO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. Batik is dyed by skilled craftsmen who make patterns with dots and lines on the fabric from melted wax. The process is complicated, so few people can experience all the steps in crafting Batik. From these problems, immersive learning media are needed so everyone can learn and gain experience in Batik crafting from start to finish. In this study, we will present Nge-BatikVR, a serious game application that introduces Batik through Virtual Reality and offers an immersive experience of learning Batik from various regions with interactive hands-on feature aimed at people to better understand and learn Batik. Nge-BatikVR offers four main features called Sinau (Learn), Kuis (Quiz), Nge-Batik (Simulation) and Toko (Shopping), with the main purpose to present interactive and engaging media useful for introducing and learning Batik with a fully immersive experience. © 2023 IEEE.

Deep learning (DL) has been proposed as a promising solution for network intrusion detection systems (NIDSs). While most DL-based NIDSs focus on high accuracy, they often overlook the critical issue of NIDSs response time for intrusion behavior. Recently some existing works presented time-aware evaluation metrics or design DL-based solutions for early intrusion detection, yet they primarily focus on the post-performance of NIDSs, without thoroughly investigating the impact of early intrusion detection on DL-based NIDSs due to the black-box nature of DL models. To address this research gap, we explore the impact of early detection on DL-based models' detection accuracy and input features. In our empirical study, we implement two different existing deep learning-based NIDSs methods and evaluate them on three published benchmark NIDSs datasets. Based on the experiment results on DL-based NIDSs detection accuracy, we observe that the early detection scenario will lead to the NIDSs model's detection accuracy decreasing up to 50%. To understand the reasons behind it, we adopt the SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) to analyze the importance of features and we observe the varying feature distributions. The feature importance and feature distribution results show that early intrusion detection may lead to a degradation of feature quality. © 2023 IEEE.

Efficiency and convenience have increased as a result of the Internet of Things’ (IoT) expanding adoption across several enterprises. Nevertheless, the dynamic nature of IoT devices severely hinders real-time security breach prevention. Model checking, self-adaptation, and the Behavior-Interaction-Priority (BIP) component model are combined into an application layer to increase data-driven security for IoT systems. An integrated approach is proposed in this paper as a conceptual model for Internet of Things (IoT) security. This approach may have the potential to significantly improve the identification and mitigation of security concerns, including bogus data, malware attacks, and secure system transactions. Physician scheduling is a critical task that impacts the quality of patient care, staff satisfaction, and operational efficiency in healthcare institutions. The traditional approach to physician scheduling is manual and time-consuming, which can result in errors, staff burnout, and suboptimal schedules. To address these challenges, researchers have turned to optimization techniques like CSP, which has shown promise in solving physician scheduling problems. This paper reviews the existing literature on CSP for physician scheduling and highlights the benefits and limitations of this approach. CSP's benefits include generating schedules quickly and efficiently, incorporating complex constraints and preferences, and handling changes and disruptions in real time. However, CSP also has some limitations, such as the need for a formalized model and the fact that it may not always generate the most intuitive schedules. Overall, the findings suggest that CSP is a promising approach to physician scheduling that can produce high-quality schedules while minimizing staff burnout and improving operational efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.
